The Lingguang Temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand, was built in 1998 and designed and built by a famous Thai architect (formerly a painter). The temple was funded from his savings over two decades and the donation of people with a heart. But it is because of his loyalty to the Buddha and his attachment to architectural design that he has created such a fine, perfect temple. Why is this temple white? He said: white represents purity, and the glittering glass is a symbol of wisdom.
