It was made during the Genroku era!
Original Text
When I went around the Otafu Nature Trail, it suddenly appeared, and I felt like I happened to meet a treasure in the forest. The basic stone wall was built by Nagatada Tsuda, a civil engineering expert of the Okayama domain during the Genroku era. The building was destroyed by a typhoon, so it was rebuilt in the Showa period, but even in the stone wall, it is a masterpiece that is taller than an adult. We have been protecting the safety of ships offshore for a long time. For history lovers, it is a place that is hard to leave.
From the port, as I climbed the narrow slopes and stairs, I saw a lantern hall with a tiled roof. It was built during the time of Tsunamasa Ikeda of the Okayama domain, and it seems that the lights were put in for ships offshore for about 150 years. It was fine.
It's along the natural research road on Otafu Island.

If you cross Otafu Island by boat for 10 minutes from Kazushima and walk along the natural research road where you found the signboard, you will come across it relatively early. I am surprised that such a big lantern was built a long time ago.

It's better than I imagined.
When I went there, it was much bigger, cleaner and better than I had imagined. I think it will be renovated, but it was good.
