A treasure hall in the precincts of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. I stopped by on the way back from visiting Tenmangu Shrine. The scale is not so large and the exhibits are a little sober, but there were interesting exhibits such as the scriptures handed down by Sugawara no Michizane and the red stamps of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Yoshitaka Ouchi. If you are interested in history, you may enjoy it.
Admission fee is 500 yen. A fulfilling exhibition with only a historic shrine. Sugawara no Michizane's book, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's red stamp, picture drawings, swords, armor, etc. are on display. There were many worshipers of Tenmangu shrine, but few people came to the treasure hall and were able to appreciate it slowly.
I bought a ticket common to the National Museum for 500 yen and entered. The building itself is small, but as expected, the treasure hall and exhibits were substantial.
After visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, we headed to the Kyushu Museum. On the way was this Dazaifu Tenmangu Treasure Hall. Many treasures related to Sugawara no Michizane such as swords were exhibited in the hall. All of them are wonderful, but I learned a lot from the video that introduced the origin of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.
Not much.
The admission fee was 500 yen, so I went. But honestly, it's not very good. I might have had to not enter. I wanted something more ingenuity.
