This lookout is also called the Yuhi no Oka observatory

This lookout on the northwest side of Yakushima has a great reputation as an area to watch the sunsets. On clear days you can look out over the East China Sea and see the island of Kuchinoerabujima. ...

Except for the name, there is nothing to defect. Man sees a piece of coast and the sea (or less).

The prefectural roads around here were repeated after approaching the sea and passing through a low place, then passing through the top of the cliff. This East China Sea Observatory was on the top of such a cliff. The height is about tens of m, but I could see the vast sea of the East China Sea. Also, when you look at the other side, you can see the mountains like Yakushima 々 ...

The mountains are approaching the coastline!

On this day, we were running on a prefectural road that goes around the coastline of Yakushima. There was an East China Sea Observatory on a hill that ran from Miyanoura to the west km. It's on a slightly higher hill, so as the name suggests, it's a spot with a panoramic view of the East China Sea. At the same time, it was a place where you can see how Yakushima's mountain 々 continues to the immediate vicinity of the sea.

On April 9, 2022, I walked through Shiratani Unsuikyo on this day. From there, I drove to the East China Sea Observatory. The East China Sea Observatory is a superb spot where you can see the beautiful sunset over the East China Sea. Check your current location on the map. A superb view of the East China Sea spreads out. East China Sea Observatory Ichiminato, Yakushima-cho, Kumage-gun, Kagoshima Prefecture
