🍃This is my third visit to Huangyao Ancient Town, and each time I discover something new. This time, it's a misty April, holding a small umbrella, walking on the damp bluestone slabs, a casual turn can lead to an artsy coffee shop or guesthouse, and there's even a poetic illusion of strolling through an ancient town in the Jiangnan area. 🎉Due to the festive atmosphere of the March 3rd festival, Huangyao Ancient Town is so lively that it's almost shoulder to shoulder. Every shop has its own way to attract customers, whether it's the fragrant Huangyao fermented black beans, the spicy and tasty papaya strips, the fresh and delicious spring vegetables, a variety of medicinal herbs, all sorts of sauces, various pastries, plus the tender buds of ancient trees nourished by the spring rain, the sky full of green, and the little pets responsible for watching the shops, all adding a touch of freshness and liveliness of spring to the ancient town. 🏷️This is an ancient town that has withstood a thousand years of vicissitudes, preserving many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as centuries-old banyan trees, complemented by small bridges, flowing water, and households, where every casual snapshot is a masterpiece. The city is half filled with fireworks and half with celestial charm. I came across many disappointing experiences of Huangyao Ancient Town on social media, but I was determined to visit. Despite the rapid drop in temperature and the rain, I remained undeterred. I thought that would be the end of it, but the evening lights introduced me to Guangxi's little Jiangnan. The misty rain, the green river, the bonfires, and the red lanterns in the old alleys all contribute to a full Jiangnan atmosphere. Ticket price: 75 RMB per person. Boat ride: 20 RMB per person (30min), FREE bonfire to keep warm. Oil tea: 15.5 RMB for two servings, strong ginger flavor to ward off the cold. Fridge magnet: 10 RMB. Bing Mei drink: 60 RMB for two cups. Sour beef tripe: 50 RMB, not to my liking. Douchi powder: 8 RMB, not suitable for me. There are small fireworks for sale, and the atmosphere here at night is truly amazing.

Having visited many ancient towns in China, I personally think that the commercialization of Huangyao Ancient Town is not very intense, making it worth a visit.
