Muli Temple is a key cultural relics protection unit in Sichuan Province, located in the Daniyabu Mountains of Youyidian Village, Taoba Township, in Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, more than 300 kilometers away from Xichang City and about 60 kilometers away from the county seat. Once one of the largest Huangjiao lama temples in Kangba Tibetan area, it has a special status in Tibetan area. It was built in 1656 AD and is another big temple built after the Walzhai Temple and Kangwu Temple. The foundation and construction of the pattern of Lhasa Zhexuan Temple by Raoyuba Sanden Sambu took 3 years and covered an area of about 80,000 square meters. The full name of Tibetan is Hemu Li Gedan Xizhu Qu Lelang Bagiwarin.
