Shizuishan

Shizuishan is a prefecture-level city in the northern part of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People’s Warlord Era. Shizuishan is a burgeoning city. It has been nicknamed the “Frontier Coal City” because it is well-known in China and abroad for its production of anthracite. Shizuishan is the only provincial-level city in Ningxia to be named a “national forest city.” Its environs are exceedingly beautiful. The famous Shahu Lake Scenic Area runs between the lake areas in the north and the desert areas in the south. It is an excellent area for birdwatching. During winter, there are ice sculpture exhibitions and ski resorts open around Shahu Lake.
