Shangri-La Apartments

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, and I can't recommend it enough! The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special by helping to pre-decorate our room in advance—it was such a thoughtful touch that made our celebration even more memorable. Since it was our first time visiting Shangri-La, the hotel staff proactively checked in with us and provided useful advice, including information about high-altitude sickness and recommendations for interesting places to visit. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and well-prepared for our trip. Additionally, we were allowed to check in early, which was a huge convenience after our journey. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, with cozy floor heating that kept us warm despite the chilly weather. The room was very comfortable, with a strong internet connection, making our stay both relaxing and convenient. To top it all off, we even received a free gift upon checkout, which was a lovely surprise! Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations with its outstanding service and attention to detail. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shangri-La!

The hotel is situated close to the North Gate of Dukezong ancient town. There is a service which gets your baggage to and fro the hotel. It’s an amazing hotel with a superb interior and incredibly hospitable staff. The lady at the reception was so nice that she helped us walk through the slippery staircases when we checked out. I loved everything about the hotel - also the great view of the city and modern sanitation facilities. It was great value for money too. Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay there! Staff there makes it very comfortable, welcoming and helpful! Free fruit and breakfast daily and they ensure that we are comfortable during our stays! Free one way ride too and it’s really useful. Staff is very knowledgeable and also the hotel is very comfortable. Everything is great and if I were to come back again, I’ll stay there again! The host is very friendly On our first day arrival , he go thru with us our itinerary and adjust some Has many little tibbit serve for free, free flow mineral water, probiotics The camp fire environment at night is also very cool Overall pleasant stay for 2 nights during our shangrila trip Location is nearby the old town but not exactly in it Car assessable location which I feel is good instead of staying inside the old town Amenities is one time use towel but if u don’t like u can request normal towel All amenities is average grade not as luxury type but ok for the price of the hotel charge Breakfast is the simple type but nice noodle

Great stay at Shangri-La Anxu Garden Holiday Home (Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City Branch). Not directly located within the ancient city so you won't have to worry about the noise especially during high season. Ancient city is only a short walk of less than 10min. Staff are super welcoming and helpful. We come to travel with family. vacation Reserve a family room with 3 beds. The rooms are clean, the lights are very bright, and the facilities are excellent. There is a projector. oxygen generator and humidifier But I don't have time to watch TV shows because I've been traveling all day and I'm exhausted. The bathroom is spacious, but there are disadvantages. The tile floor is very slippery. The shower and toilet spots are close to each other. The bathroom floor is not made in two levels to prevent wet floors from coming out of the shower area. The environment around the hotel is very good. Finding food to eat in the morning is close to the hotel. Walk to the ancient city for about 1 km. Enough to exercise.

The managers were very friendly. They greeted us with puer tea and a delicious bread. (The bread was so nice that I wanted to know its name) A staff led us to our room and explained about the facilities. After we came back from a walk, there were welcome soup and fruits in the room. The room is very clean, large and nice. We used the humidifier in the room as winter in Shangri-la is really dry. We used the oxygen supplier but it turned off for some reason during the night time and we couldn’t find out how to turn it on. It’s only a 15 minute walk from the Dukezong old town. The hotel also offered a drive to the train station. Thank you!

This homestay is the best! Very recommended 👌🏻 the host is very accommodating. The location is just perfect. It’s near to everything. There’s bed warmer and floor heater and the toilet comes with automatic bidet. There’s washing machine and even extra jackets that can be borrowed from the hotel as we undermine the cold in Shangrila the puffer jacket we borrowed really help us a lot with the cold. There’s pickup and dropoff service for free to and fro the Railway Station. The room that we book is really nice and the view is also nice. Please stay here if you come to Shangrila. You won’t regret it.

I had the most incredible stay at Shangri-la Runjing Muqi B&B. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a serene atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The property is beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comforts, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle of daily life. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully decorated, reflecting the local charm of Shangri-la. The attention to detail was remarkable—from the soft linens to the carefully curated amenities that added a touch of luxury to my stay. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the owner of the inn. She was incredibly kind and accommodating, even offering to pick me up from the train station and drop me off when I left, which was a huge help as the B&B is located about 25 minutes from the town and getting a Didi can be a bit challenging in the area. The inn doesn’t have elevators, only a staircase, but the staff were so attentive—they carried my luggage up and down for me, ensuring I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The location is perfect for exploring the serene beauty of Shangri-la. Nearby attractions include Potatso National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, and Dukezong Ancient Town, as well as a nearby horse ranch, where you can dress in traditional ******* costumes and ride across the scenic grasslands. The on-site breakfast was delicious, with fresh, locally sourced options that made each morning a delight. Overall, Shangri-la Runjing Muqi B&B offers an unforgettable experience. It’s a peaceful retreat with exceptional service, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Shangri-la. I can’t wait to return!

The location is super convenient cuz it is only a few walk to the Moonlight Square - the heart of Dukezong ancient town. The family host is very very friendly and helpful. One day, when we came home around 7pm after a road trip around Napahai Lake, the auntie lady - mother of the owner ( a young male) invited us to have dinner with them and we did have a very warm hearted noodles dinner with them. In the next morning, we had to leave early for the flight back to Kunming, the uncle - father of the owner woke up early to drive us and luggage to the square - where we can take the taxi. He also prepared some boiled eggs for our breakfast. So grateful. The facility of the room is extraordinary modern. Though the temperature during our stay was -10 lowest, the room has heating, floor heating and shower heating. Just relax and enjoy the warmth. The tea set in the living room was amazing too. 100/100 points
