GGuest UserReally clean and tidy room and we had the best night sleep on the comfiest bed. Plenty of tea and coffee. Really friendly and helpful staff. Location was at the Center of Chester which made everything easier to get too. It was right by the shops and loads of places to eat. Self service breakfast with plenty of choice enjoyed everything and hope to visit again.

VV S DwaraTitle: Alderley Edge Hotel: Victorian Elegance Meets Modern Comfort in Cheshire
Review:
Nestled in the heart of Cheshire, Alderley Edge Hotel offers a charming blend of Victorian heritage and contemporary luxury. Originally a grand 19th-century villa, the hotel has been thoughtfully transformed into a stylish 50-room retreat, maintaining its historic character while providing modern amenities.
Location & Ambience:
Situated just off Alderley Edge’s bustling high street, the hotel is perfectly positioned for guests to explore the village’s trendy boutiques, restaurants, and bars. The nearby sandstone ridge, known as “The Edge,” offers scenic woodland walks and panoramic views, adding to the area’s allure.
Accommodation:
Guests have praised the hotel for its cleanliness and comfort. Rooms are well-appointed, featuring modern furnishings and amenities such as Temple Spa toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee facilities. While some guests have noted that certain rooms can be on the smaller side, the overall comfort and ambiance receive high marks.
Dining Experience:
The hotel’s restaurant, set within a rebuilt conservatory, offers a bright and airy dining space. Guests have highlighted the quality of the food, particularly the grilled fish dishes and Sunday roasts. The bar and outdoor garden seating provide additional spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Service & Facilities:
The staff at Alderley Edge Hotel are frequently commended for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Facilities include free parking with electric charging stations, pet-friendly accommodations (with an additional charge), and well-maintained gardens. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel does not have leisure facilities or a gym.
Guest Feedback:
Overall, guests have expressed satisfaction with their stays, citing the hotel’s cleanliness, location, and service as standout features. Some have mentioned minor issues such as thin walls leading to noise disturbances and occasional maintenance concerns in the bathrooms. Despite these, the consensus remains positive, with many guests indicating a desire to return.
Conclusion:
Alderley Edge Hotel successfully marries historical charm with modern comforts, making it a delightful choice for travelers seeking a serene yet convenient base in Cheshire. Whether you’re exploring the local countryside or indulging in the village’s vibrant scene, this hotel offers a memorable and comfortable stay.

GGuest UserLovely hotel with nice big clean rooms. A few issues though - you really need a car to get here as it's a bit far out from the city centre. In my room there was a room service menu and a number to dial for room service, but no phone. The food and drink was ok. During my stay there was only 1 person on the bar and service was a little slow. I ordered a soft drink and it was a bit flat, definitely not worth the £4 they charged for it. Because of staff shortages the dining room was filled with tables that needed to be cleaned. Breakfast was also a bit of a disaster. They charge £15 for it but definitely not worth it. There's a self serve hot buffet which was fine, nothing exceptional. There was no coffee available, just tea bags and hot water. Also there were no plates available at the continental station - really missing attention to detail when there were quite a few staff members present.

Amazing
GGuest UserWe found the facilities and service excellent.
Breakfast was good with a fair choice on the buffet. We had a bar meal which was a good standard, burger and fish and chips, with s good selection of drinks.
We did have a problem with the room we were given due to traffic noise, being too hot and it was a disabled bathroom which meant the sink was too low for us.
A big thank you to reception staff Carolin and her colleague who gladly managed to get us moved into another quieter room with aircon it was much appreciated. All the staff on reception in the bar and breakfast room were excellent.
The hotel on the canalside is only a few minutes away from the city centre and many restaurants and bars.

GGuest UserBooked a 3 night stay at Queen Hotel in Chester and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel and the room was perfect. Didnt dine at the restaurant but ordered 2 bar meals which the food was plentiful and delicious with an excellent choice. Room service was excellent too as we ordered drinks to the room and also some sandwiches and soup. The breakfast was excellent too. All staff I spoke with were courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I will certainly be booking this hotel again for my next visit to Chester.

HH S TThis trip my room was small. 1 Level above ground, without lift. Therefore i need to lug my 28inch luggage up. Suitable for family as we get access to Feelgood Health Club gym and pool. Children swim time 7am to 7.30pm. Plenty of car park lots. Lots of TV channels. Excellent breakfast, nice dining brasserie. Happy to return again.

GGuest UserThis is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and our choice was primarily due to its convenient location and excellent breakfast. It is very close to the airport and very quiet at night, surrounded by farms and grassland.
We love the breakfast because it is not a typical buffet. Instead, you can choose from a menu with a great variety of options, all of which taste wonderful. The restaurant's decoration is also lovely, and you will be more than satisfied with the portions. The restaurant staff are passionate, friendly, and helpful.
One point to note is that the reception area often has guests around, which is just an observation and neither positive nor negative. The receptionists always do their best and are very nice and professional. However, the room design is a bit outdated.

GGuest UserHandy location for travel to North Wales and an easy drive to Chester. Hotel rooms are dated. We only had one bedside cabinet and lamp in a double room. The wardrobe door was in danger of falling off. Room looked out onto another part of the building. A storeroom or something. No window in en suite. Felt a bit claustrophobic.
Breakfast was of limited choice but adequate.
The public areas and pool facilities were clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserFor a normal size breakfast you had to pay extra, the heating was broken in the spa so it was quite cold. The hotel did look a bit tatty in places. Service was lacking, always had to chase the staff members. Lovely building and good location.

GGuest UserAs a solo traveller, I was impressed with Runcorn Holiday Inn. I felt very safe. Friendly reception and cleaners, as well as helpful staff.
It's in a nice, quiet location. The room was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. Breakfast has a great selection from continental to full English, besides cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast etc
I ordered a ham sandwich for supper in my room, and it was like a doorstep, very filling.
There's plenty of free parking for customers too.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. I would definitely return again.
