The location is truly great — very central and within walking distance to all main attractions, shops and eateries. That part was a big plus. However, several things were disappointing. At the time of booking I was asked whether I preferred a room near the lift or away from it. I selected “away”, yet my room ended up being directly opposite the lift. If the preference isn’t taken into account, it’s unclear why the hotel asks at all. What bothered me much more was the bed situation. I booked a King room fully expecting a proper king-size bed, but instead there were two single beds pushed together. It was uncomfortable to sleep, constantly sliding into the gap between the mattresses — not ideal for a 4-night stay. Housekeeping was also odd: the room was cleaned only after 3 nights, and coffee/milk supplies were provided only for 2 days, so there was no coffee on the third morning. There is no air conditioning in the room, and it gets very hot at night. A fan was provided, but it’s too noisy to run while sleeping. Opening the windows didn’t help either due to traffic noise and the blinds slamming loudly in the wind. Overall, the location is fantastic, but the room comfort and some basic expectations were not met.

The first room we stayed in had a leaking roof outside the door. The door itself would not close easily and need very strong force. Shower good, aircon good. We were then quickly moved to Room 2. No aircon (Heatpump). The heater fan was like a 747 winding up for take off, Shower floor tiles very slippery, shower good temp and flow. On the last day the door lock failed completely. Clearly work is needed as during rain, there were several roof leaks with buckets underneath. Staff were helpful and communicated well. The premises are not what they were 40 years ago. Restaurant food selection rather limited. Food supplies and drinks especially were low or unavailable.

My daughter and I stayed for four nights during our five-day trip to Wellington, and the hotel met all my expectations. First, its central location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Old Bank. There's a bus stop downstairs, making it easy to get to the airport and train station, and most attractions are within walking distance. Second, it was clean, spacious, and quiet. Being on the 21st floor, the air and sunlight were lovely, and we slept very well. Third, the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and basic tableware, allowing us to prepare simple meals. All in all, I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Ramada Wellington and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit. The room was comfortable, and housekeeping is done every three days, with towels available on request if needed earlier. There were a few hiccups—utensils could’ve been cleaner, and the aircon/heat pump wasn’t working when we checked in on a Sunday. It took a couple of days to get fixed, but the team did provide a fan and portable heater in the meantime. Overall, a decent spot for short stays with a central location and warm hospitality.

We arrived early at the hotel , the staff were very friendly and checked us in early which was great! It is perfect location for flights as the hotel is actually in the airport, lift straight to check in and departure lounge. There is a shuttle bus that goes from airport to Wellington station and stops at locations in between for museum etc. Stayed here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend.

Had a great visit to Wellington. Enjoyed the hotel and the service was excellent. As with most Hotels we have stayed at recently they are a bit dated. Room was very clean, room service was good and the bathroom was excellent and looked to have been renovated in recent years. All in all very happy with our stay.

A very satisfying stay experience, a very old hotel with a long history and traditional culture. I am very happy to experience life in this environment. There are no windows, no landscape design and a big bed.

It's a great experience. The value for money is there and the location is wonderful with next to zero noise at night. Staff is friendly and helpful and daily housekeeping is on point. It would be better to provide body lotion in the room, and TV produce some flashing light from the back after turning off can be slightly troublesome. I also try the food, they have daily deals and happy hours.

Room is very clean. Daily room service is good. Mattresses' comfort could be better. Location is great, close to Lambton Quay, lots of shops and restaurants. We particularly like the luggage storage, very convenient. Will stay again. Front desk staff very helpful.

It's a nice place to spend a night. A drink in the bar before dinner helps. I don't know much about the food as I had a pizza only. An average meal. Oh, the conference facilities are good.

Hotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.

MM_PorschaI stayed at Boulcott Suites for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent — plenty of eateries nearby (many Asian options), a New World supermarket just around the corner, and Cuba Street all within walking distance. For those driving, private parking is available at NZD 29 per night, though it does need to be booked in advance by calling ahead. The room itself was well-equipped, with nearly everything listed on their website provided. Amenities included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an infusion tea selection, a coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, clothing rack, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer. There’s also a convenient kitchenette with a stove and full set of utilities if you’d like to prepare meals. Do note that some basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and bottled water aren’t supplied. I just drank the tap water, which seemed perfectly fine. On the downside, I felt the room was a little dusty, which took away slightly from the otherwise good presentation. I had also requested a baby cot during booking and was told it would be included, but it never arrived in the room. It wasn’t a big issue for me personally since the bed was large enough to co-sleep with my baby, but it’s worth mentioning for others who might rely on that service. All in all, Boulcott Suites is a convenient and comfortable choice in the heart of Wellington, with great amenities and an ideal location. With a little more attention to detail on housekeeping and guest requests, it would be close to perfect.

GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly, welcoming & very efficient. They took the time to go out of their way to make us comfortable. The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!

GGH LAlso called QT Hotel, because of its name, the museum hotel uses a lot of modern art works in its decoration, especially in the public areas, which is unique and full of artistic atmosphere. The hotel bar and restaurant are OK, and the front desk is open 24 hours. Since it is a serviced apartment hotel, there are kitchen equipment in the room, as well as washing and drying machines. There is a large supermarket ”New World” outside the hotel, which makes it very convenient to buy vegetables and cook by yourself. Everything is good. It is located in the bay, only 500 to 800 meters away from the city center. There are many restaurants on the pier, as well as a food city. One of the seafood restaurants with Antarctic crabs as a gimmick is good.

GGuest UserWe are an 65. We can't turn on the TV if you say down load an app. I fancied about throwing the remote at the TV after 2 hrs of trying. How can i SIGN INTO MY OWN UTube or sign into my own NetFlix. IF I DONT HAVE IT... WAS NOT HAPPY. We were getting the ferry in the morning. We came down at 7.20am in the hope to get breakfast and the place was closed up. No breakfast ? When we arrived a young girl took my $35. For the parking and said we could come back in the morning if we wanted.. if you want to park your car it very safe but watch the door closes at night so someone has to get out to open in on the busy rd. You need to park on foot path and it's a tight turn in if you have a big ute like us. Shower was the best part of the room. Bed was very high as was on a HIGH wooden bottom. Everything was very clean and tidy. I guess we are not used to going to a hotel that has no reception to ask about the TV. Not sure if we would return.

YYUNSHENGMy daughter said that the hotel we booked this time is the favorite, the surrounding environment is beautiful, quiet, very close to the city and tourist attractions. Go to the museum, the Capitol is more than 20 minutes walk. Mount Victoria is just behind the hotel and it is 1200 meters walk. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Wellington and the scenery is beautiful. Going to Cuba Street, convenience stores, and supermarkets are very convenient. Because we don't have a car and don't want to take the bus, it is very convenient to choose here. I can walk to any attraction. The boss is very warm and kind. He said, ”He and the Chinese have worked together for ten years, just like a family.” What moved the words, he is very kind and friendly to the Chinese, and he gives it daily. We have prepared a free breakfast, we have to stay here for ten days, my daughter likes it very much, safe and hygienic. The kitchen in the restaurant can also be used free of charge. You can buy food and cook for yourself. It is a good place to take your children to travel. When I first came to check in, we took out the documents and showed them to the boss. He said cheerfully, ”No need to look, I know who you are,”. I think he may be a Chinese character with the Chinese for a long time. You don't need to go through any formalities to stay here, it's as simple as going home. We also choose here for the next vacation.
