Hotel is a convenient walk from the nearest bus stop, and it provides a comfortable feeling within the hotels itself. The buffet was delicious, and they feature daily changes on the rice to give an insight on the type of rice you can get from which part of their prefecture. Hotel service was great, and the comfortable night gown was a perfect touch as you wear it to call it a day when you sleep. Only thing is that there was no laudry facility in the hotel, but it was, in general a great experience.

Very good design hotel, transportation needs to be booked one day in advance through the platform. There is only one trip at 15:15 to Echigo Yuzawa Hatago Isen Hotel. Isen is opposite Echigo Yuzawa Station and is also the hotel of Long Yan's family. After explaining to the staff, you can rest and wait in the hotel. This pick-up station is not fixed and can only be made by appointment. The ride takes about half an hour. After arriving at the hotel, there is an efficient and warm reception. I booked a basic room type with one night and two meals. The room is very large and spacious. The hotel is a tangible cultural material of the Hakkaisan Wine Industry. The ancient farmhouse mansion was rebuilt. The design was awarded, and it protects history and pays attention to the protection of the surrounding environment. I like it very much. It is simple and fashionable. Tea and snacks are provided in the lobby. Plum wine and sake are provided at 5 pm. Now we don't have bento in the room, we eat in the restaurant. Dinner is Japanese style. I think it is very attentive and exquisite for the per capita charge. The environment is beautiful, the service is standardized and enthusiastic, the wine and beverages are cheap, and I had a very happy and satisfying meal. I think it is better than the Japanese restaurant in Tobira Onsen Myojinkan, which costs more than 4,000 yuan per person. Breakfast is a buffet, with one of three main dishes to choose from, and the rest are buffets. The quality is excellent and the taste is very good. There is a shamisen performance from 8:30 to 9:15 in the evening. The couple sings and plays the guitar and is professional. The hot spring has a large public bath and a private bath. The private bath is open when the lights are on, but it is often full. Check out at 11 o'clock and the shuttle bus will take you to Echigo Yuzawa Station. It is very comfortable and convenient with the shuttle bus. The designer may be a commercial designer. There are some shortcomings in the accommodation. There is a lot of light leakage. When the lights in the room are turned off at night, the lights in the corridor and public areas will shine through. You don't need to turn on the lights to go to the bathroom late at night. The windows and doors are not soundproof. When it rains, the eaves drip a lot. Fortunately, I prepared eye masks and earplugs. When it rains, the air conditioning heating room is set to 30 degrees and it can't be warm. It can only keep it warm. It is normal for Japanese hotels to have curtains without light blocking. Overall, a very good hotel.

Location, food, outdoor and services are all top notch. But if you are skiiing/snowboarding, it’s not the most convenient. The whole hotel uses tatami set-up, from check-in counter, meaning you have to take off your shoes and drop equipments immediately, then carry them across the hallway to the lift. And there’s no drying room.

There is not close to Murakami Station. I contacted the hotel to book the pick-up station. My luggage was heavy. Thanks to the driver of the pick-up service. The hotel is some years old, but the room is very spacious and cleaned up, and the family seems more suitable. The hot spring is very comfortable, and the carp swimming board in the corridor is very interesting. The breakfast dishes are very delicious. The room has a tour map of Libo Hot Spring Street, most places can be reached on foot, the sidewalk is very narrow, you need to pay attention to passing vehicles. Although the sun is very hot, the sunset sea view is really beautiful.

Was given a room with 2 single beds. When I checked with the reception, they said their level 10 was under renovation and that my booking doesn't give me a choice. This is the first time I was told I don't have a choice to the bed configuration. Rooms are not sound proof. We could hear voices from next room.  Room is spacious by Japanese standard, and location is good, near to Bandai Pier and fashion shopping. We could walk to the train station in 10 minutes.  Enjoyed our stay.

Extremely satisfied! The hotel may be small, but it's full of warmth and personal touches. The staff were always proactively greeting us, asking if we needed a shuttle, and even offered to call a driver for us wherever we went. Even though we only stayed for a short two nights, we'll definitely be back. The open-air bath on the fourth floor was incredibly comfortable and simply amazing. All in all, it's super convenient whether you're heading to Gala Yuzawa ski resort or Echigo-Yuzawa JR station.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel provides a shuttle bus from Echigo Yuzawa station therefore it is very convenient via Shinkansen from Tokyo. I do like the room design, it felt showa-era Japanese with a mix of western scifi at the same time, kinda like the film space odyssey. The receptionist was very kind and gave us discounts for ski lifts. Ski lockers were included so we could keep all our gear downstairs. There are many restaurants to choose from, best meal was the steak paella with the option to add extra meat at Edelweiss. Breakfast view from Kiyotsu restaurant was majestic, got to see the early birds ski while enjoying our meal. We were at the slopes pretty much from the morning until after the sun sets because there was night ski! After a whole day of skiing, resting at the outdoor onsen overlooking the snow garden was surreal, all the pains and aches just disappeared. To end the night, we watched the fireworks display from our room. We went to Naeba to ski but received far more than I expected. Thanks to all thestaff for the wonderful experience. We will be back soon and already planning a return.

Thank you for providing the comfortable hot springs and clean accommodations, allowing us to relax and unwind during our trip. However, our service during this stay fell short of expectations, and we would like to offer some sincere feedback as a reference for your pursuit of excellence. First, it must be acknowledged that the hotel's facilities are indeed commendable. The excellent quality of the hot springs, and the consistently clean and tidy public areas and guest rooms, demonstrate a five-star hotel's commitment to basic quality, which is impressive. However, the core of a true five-star experience lies in the service provided by the ”people,” and this is precisely what we found most regrettable. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we experienced an unexpected ”self-service” atmosphere. We were carrying a lot of ski equipment, making movement quite difficult, yet no porter offered to help us unload our luggage or provide guidance. We had to carry our heavy ski equipment and luggage piece by piece from the vehicle to the luggage cart ourselves; the chaotic process contrasted sharply with the attentive and welcoming service we had expected. After check-in, several attempts to contact the front desk for inquiries were unsuccessful as the phone remained unanswered for extended periods. This communication breakdown inevitably caused anxiety and helplessness at crucial moments. Furthermore, occasional obstacles were encountered in communicating with staff in English, leading to unnecessary misunderstandings. The most obvious example was a notification letter we received regarding upcoming maintenance work in our room; the English version contained significant translation errors regarding the dates of the work, causing initial confusion. These details reflect room for improvement in the hotel's international service standards. Additionally, adding hot and cold water dispensers to the common area, particularly in the coffee corner, would be beneficial.

It's been a while since I last bothered you. The breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and nice. Although it was raining, I was able to go from the station to the arcade without getting wet. It would have been better if there were amenities such as makeup remover.

GGuest UserNot the most modern. But very cosy and warm, impeccable service and hospitality. Child play facilities inside the hotel (up to 6 or 7 years old). That's a bar for the adults too, open tab until the night. Private onsen is available for 1000jpy for 45 minutes, and is adjacent but separate to the public onsen that is available to hotel guests. Parking is just outside the hotel. Restaurants and snow gear rental is available down the road.

SSze Yu FungMy wife and I visited this onsen resort in 2023 and we loved it. My wife especially likes the many onsens they have. We have always wanted to come here again and finally did after 3 years. Like three years ago, the room and facilities are very clean and well maintained everything just as they were. One thing did change and we are quite upset about it, is that the staff is not as enthusiastic as they were (there are some familiar faces, many new ones). I still recommend this place to everyone, Futaba is still the best compared to the other two onsen resorts we’ve visited in between. Hope they can figure out some way to motivate the staff and offer a better experience to guests.

OOlivier - GillesNothing very new to tell since all the previous reviews say it all. The price is too high for the service. The best aspect of this hotel is its closeness to the slopes. The rooms are so-so, the lack of hooks is astounding for ski-oriented accommodation, the beds aren't particularly comfy, the breakfast isn't super good nor well supplied, there's hardly any WiFi reception anywhere, the common spaces are chilly, and let's not talk about the onsen. The staff do try hard to make a difference, but meaning well doesn't always cut it. I'm still a bit disappointed by being offered no meaningful commercial gesture after agreeing graciously to switch rooms at the manager's request; in retrospect, as I'm writing this review, a ¥700 bottle of wine I didn't ask for made me feel a bit cheap. I ended up offering it to the staff during check-out. We decided to ignore all the previous comments because we organized our trip late and are usually easy to please. But quite frankly, I don't understand why some issues haven't been fixed yet, even simple ones such as adding WiFi repeaters and adding hooks in the rooms.

大大小小东游西逛One of the nicest hotels we stayed in Japan. We had stayed in a traditional japanese room with Futon beds with an amazing view, compared to some hotels stayed in Tokyo, staff here were so kind, patient and helpful. We had come here to Ski which was wonderful as the resort comes with its own ski garden and lift passes which we were given (so generous and kind thank you!), there is also a lovely onsen onsite for hotel guests to use (free). Even though this resort may seem like a walk to the train station there is a timely shuttle bus service to and from with lovely staff there to help. Would recommend and definitely would come again!

GGuest UserI chose it with rice and source hanging water in Uonuma. Anyway, the hot water was good. The hot springs that you can enter while cooling in the open air are exceptional. My skin became chewy and I was happy with the smoothness. The building is old but the interior is clean and I like it with fashionable furniture. I also like the service between reasonable distances. The rice for dinner was as good as expected and delicious. However, the set meal was fried meat and fish and fried fish oyster set meal, but it was heavy for me. But all the side dishes were delicious with 4! I thought that there was an attractive okazu in the single item, and if there was a set of rice miso soup side dishes, I could assemble my favorite dinner with a single item 〜. It was a nice inn where you can see the rice fields after harvesting and the autumn mountains 々. The heron was taking a rest on the roof.
