Останавливались на Маврикии в трёх разных отелях, поэтому сравнивать есть с чем. Ocean Villas оставил смешанные впечатления: сильное расположение, но слабая материальная база. Один из главных плюсов — расположение. Отель удобно расположен рядом с ключевыми туристическими точками и лучшими пляжами Маврикия. До столицы Порт-Луи и вертолётной базы можно добраться быстро и без лишней логистики. По транспортной доступности — уверенные 10 из 10. Отель расположен в тихой бухте. Имеет собственный небольшой пляж, но ухоженный, со стильными кроватями и лежаками — свободные места были всегда. После насыщенных дней мы регулярно возвращались на берег и спокойно отдыхали — атмосфера действительно располагает. Нам попался номер на втором этаже — просторный, с большой ванной, но ощутимо уставший. Отель нуждается в реновации: мебель, отделка и общий вид уже не тянут на комфортный уровень. Ключевой минус данного отеля - чистота и дезинфекция. На ужине на шведском столе заметили разгуливавших рядом с блюдами тараканов. В номере за последние две ночи так же было обнаружено два огромных таракана длиной около 5 см, из-за которых заснуть было проблемой (одного из этих усатых представителей можно увидеть на фото). В других двух отелях на Маврикии таких ситуаций не было, что однозначно указывает на пробелы в дезинфекции и санитарном контроле. Этот момент серьёзно омрачил проживание. В целом, сам отель простенький, но видно, что персонал очень старается. По вечерам играет живая музыка. На ужине выбор блюд невелик, но меню не повторяется — каждый день готовят что-то новое. В итоге голодными не уходили. Ocean Villas выигрывает за счёт локации, пляжа и стараний команды, но теряет позиции из-за состояния номеров и критичных вопросов к чистоте. Потенциал есть, но без реновации и усиленной дезинфекции рекомендовать отель можем только тем, кто ставит в приоритет бюджет и размещение, а не комфорт.

The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

Typical Mauritian complex hotel very well arranged and charming which offers many activities and well located to shine in the North of Mauritius. Everything is available to ensure that your stay goes perfectly (assistance, activities, visits, taxi, etc.) Several restaurants available on site (buffet restaurant and restaurants highlighting local gastronomy) included in the price for half board and all in. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and varied and also highlights local cuisine. The staff is attentive and very helpful. For information, ask to book restaurants to be able to taste the different local cuisines (Indian, Mauritian and Chinese).

We stayed at Residence Le Point Choisy in January-February 2026 in an apartment with a kitchen. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything guests could need. The kitchen was fully equipped, even including spices and oil. Drinking water was freely available with coolers located in the common hallway. A big plus was the breakfast, which was included in the price and served from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. There's a mini-market in the same building, but on the opposite side from the main entrance. You can buy vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat, sweets, alcohol, and more there. The apart-hotel also has underground parking, but you need to inform the staff in advance if you require a parking space. The beautiful public beach of Mont Choisy is very close by, just a 10-15 minute walk. The owner and staff are very attentive to their guests and try their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Beach towels are provided in a special bag, which is very convenient for carrying them to the beach. You can also request beach chairs and an umbrella. But that's not all! Upon check-in, you receive a special folder with all the useful information to help you settle in with minimal fuss. We had a wonderful two weeks and hope to return to Mauritius and stay at Residence Le Point Choisy again.

First of all, you want to start with the positive sides of this hotel, their two beautiful and well-designed territories, as well as a beautiful interior in the room and delicious meal on the menu at dinner. On this the pluses end. It was our third hotel on the island in this category and therefore there is something to compare with. The most unsuccessful place on the level of service. Of course, if you are a non-critical restorant, this place will be appropriate. We thought it was a very low level of management processes inside the hotel and savings for everything. The room has capsules and a coffee machine that are paid (only two capsules of coffee are free for the entire stay). All the drinks at dinner are paid, even water. The food is delicious, but it is important to note that at dinner many times it has been time to wait for two hours. We have expressed our dissatisfaction on several occasions and are not ready to sit in the dining room for two hours, as we have work and we are very limited in time. Probably the cook just can't cook so much food for such a load of the hotel. Some people just got up and left without waiting for dessert. This is an extreme disrespect for the guests. In the first days we noticed that shampoo, soul gel and other items were not replenished after cleaning, asked for respiratory measures, but only after a written complaint they took action and began to monitor cleaning more closely. Thank you for the operational reaction, we are pleased that the hotel is reacting and listening. Probably I would recommend this hotel to take initially without food or just breakfast. The hotel offers free kayaks, catamaran, on which you can swim along the beach, Hamam. There is a tea pause (mundice): the first day is free, then 350 rupees a day. The staff is friendly and keen to help, but it is necessary to work immediately quickly and clearly so that the guest does not have an unpleasant impression.

Absolutely perfect! 100% recommended. We loved everything: the setting, the welcome, the services, the food. This place is like paradise! The staff is lovely and the trip was magical! This is our third stay and we will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful family stay at Lux Grand Baie. The welcome was warm and professional from the moment we arrived. The hotel is magnificent, modern, and perfectly maintained, with an atmosphere that is both refined and friendly. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well-equipped, ideal for a family stay. The various pools, the beach, and the activities offered delighted both children and adults. A special mention goes to the quality of the food, with a wide selection and delicious dishes. The staff is always smiling, attentive, and available, which made the experience even more enjoyable. In summary, it was a truly great experience that we highly recommend to families looking to enjoy an idyllic setting in Mauritius. We would be delighted to come back!

Great place! All I think is missing is hair dryer for hair, a bigger bed and then laundry room to do laundry. Also, better lighting in rooms will be useful if you like to do makeup. Other than that, great stay😊Definitely recommend this place! People super friendly and helpful!

had a wonderful stay at Domaine de Grand Baie. The property is modern, beautifully maintained, and offers a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making the stay very comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile.

A beautifully integrated structure in nature ...with a beautiful swimming pool ...good breakfast ...restaurant on the paper ...free parking ...i.e. a great price/quality ratio for anyone who wants to visit the north-west part of the island.
