XXingqitianzailiulangThe hotel's location is excellent, in a quieter part of the city, and there are plenty of dining options within a two to three-kilometer radius.
**Service:** Fantastic, incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic! A big shout out to all the staff! 👍
**Cleanliness:** Very clean.
**Facilities:** Has everything you could need, including a laundry room and a gym.
**Breakfast:** The variety is extensive and caters to pretty much everyone.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right across from the Yellow River Park. A ten-minute walk along the park leads to the Dunhuang Art Museum. The hotel staff were also very helpful. However, the hotel needs to improve its communication with guests regarding important operational details. For example: 1. In some room types, the wall power outlets for the hairdryer aren't powerful enough. Guests need to use an additional outlet installed inside the drawer. This isn't communicated in advance, so how are guests supposed to know? My hair stayed wet for ages, and I couldn't tell if the hairdryer was broken or if there was another issue. 2. While relaxing in the room, all power suddenly shut off, the curtains closed, and the room became completely dark, which really scared my child. The power also went out again in the middle of the night. This happened in both rooms we booked. After inquiring, we were told that if the power card isn't inserted, the smart infrared sensor automatically cuts power if it detects no movement in the room. The premise of this design is that the infrared sensor must function correctly; otherwise, a sudden power outage significantly disrupts normal use. At the very least, guests should be informed of this mechanism beforehand. 3. The air conditioning in the room wasn't cooling, and I didn't know why. After a technician came to the room, we learned that some room types have a hidden dual-channel control switch. The AC's in-room control needs to be set below 23 degrees Celsius to activate the cooling mode; otherwise, it only operates as ventilation. This also needs to be communicated to guests in advance! I hope these issues can be improved.
GGuest UserTraveling solo during the off-season, I booked this very comfortable hotel for just over 100 RMB. I recall they offer a shuttle service, so transportation isn't an issue. There's also a great breakfast spot nearby (serving 'Beef Xiaofan'). After a day of sightseeing, you can enjoy a foot soak to ease your fatigue in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangye!
(The photo shows local scenery in Zhangye. Most attractions, except for the Giant Buddha Temple, are quite far from hotels in the city, so I recommend self-driving or joining a day tour.)
GGuest UserThe newly renovated room was incredibly stylish. The desk and partition were integrated seamlessly, and the sink, bathtub, and toilet were all separated, providing excellent privacy. I particularly loved the washbasin's unique material – water drops created a lovely chime. A room of this size in Japan could easily be two separate units! The mini-fridge was very handy for storing food, which was a lifesaver for our early 8:45 AM slot at the Mogao Grottoes Digital Center. The outer walls were 48 bricks thick, providing great earthquake resistance and insulation. They also had all the amenities, including a smoke escape mask, razor, and bath liner. The pick-up and drop-off service was an added bonus. The 9th-floor restaurant terrace offered fantastic views.
A special shout-out to Xiaodai, who arranged our airport pick-up. After booking our flights and hotel on Ctrip, I confirmed the pick-up with the hotel. On April 2nd, flying from Chengdu to Lanzhou, then Lanzhou to Dunhuang (with a stopover in Jiayuguan), our flight was delayed three times due to strong winds. Xiaodai kept in constant communication with me, even confirming again when we were pushed back and taxing in Jiayuguan. We finally arrived 4 hours late. The moment I turned on my phone after landing, I received a message from driver Mr. Wu, who picked us up smoothly and got us to the hotel. Following Xiaodai's advice, we left at 7:50 AM for the Mogao Grottoes Digital Center, making it to the 8:45 AM first show. We then successfully got tickets for our desired special grottoes and visited all the open areas of the Mogao Grottoes.
On April 4th, I went to the front desk to ask about the bus to the airport and happened to find Xiaodai on duty. She told me they could arrange a drop-off. When I gave her my room number, she recognized me from our earlier pick-up arrangements. My interactions with Xiaodai showed me the hotel's excellent service, with attention to every single detail. If 10 is the highest score, I'd give them a 12. Dunhuang is a place you'll want to visit more than once or twice.
PPeiban shizuichangqingdegaobaiThe hotel's location is excellent, and its facilities are comprehensive and thoughtfully designed. It even has a gym and a laundry room. The front desk staff were quiet but incredibly meticulous and helpful. They managed to switch our two rooms, which were originally on different floors, to the same floor, which was a great convenience for me as I was traveling with elderly family members and children. The sleep quality was excellent, the shower was comfortable, and the toothbrushes provided were good quality. The surrounding area is bustling with unique cultural and creative shops and特色餐饮 (specialty restaurants). It's also just a ten-minute walk to the Danghe River. Our room was right next to a luxurious bathroom that looked like it belonged in a multi-million dollar home.
DDingdingxianmaoThis hotel truly lives up to its reputation as the 'Haidilao of hotels'! The service is exceptional. It was the only hotel during my Hexi Corridor trip that delivered my luggage to the room and explained all the room's features – a service I usually only expect from luxury hotels. The lobby is pet-friendly, with cats and dogs roaming around. My room had a humidifier and a foot spa, and the upgraded room even came with a treadmill! The breakfast was great; we left early every day, and breakfast was ready by 6:40 AM. From 9 PM to 11 PM, they also offer complimentary congee, cold dishes, and steamed buns. Each guest received a free bowl of delicious noodles during their stay. Ordering takeout to the hotel was also convenient. Although it's not a luxury hotel, the service left a lasting impression. No wonder so many families with children choose to stay here; we even saw a study tour group! I stayed here for 3 nights, and they were the best 3 nights of sleep I had on this Hexi Corridor trip. There are washing machines and drying racks on the 6th floor, and the room also had a place to hang clothes.
AAnonymous UserThere were a lot of people in the hotel lobby on the night of check-in. The front desk said that they had received a study tour group of 500 people, which delayed the check-in time. To express their apology, the front desk gave me some souvenirs and promised to take me to the night market in the evening. They were really sincere and I could see that the service awareness came from the heart and was not forced through training.
GGuest UserThis is a fantastic hotel with excellent amenities. They have a huge parking lot in the back, and there are many restaurants nearby. But the absolute highlight is their breakfast. My wife and I have been on road trips for years, staying in hundreds of hotels, and we've never seen a breakfast like this. They offer over 50 different items, including both Chinese and Western options. They even have things other hotels don't, like salmon, 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' soup, boiled prawns, fried chicken nuggets, and fried fish. Everything is incredibly fresh; when the salmon runs out, they immediately bring out more. And all of this for just 28 RMB per person! The owner is truly thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and cozy, with all the amenities and furnishings being complete and exquisite. The hotel staff, both at the front desk and behind the scenes, were polite and always greeted us with a smile. They were highly responsive to our requests, promptly addressing and resolving any needs we had. The breakfast, in particular, was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices. It felt like enjoying a high-end, star-rated hotel experience at the price of a regular hotel. My overall experience and sense of satisfaction were greatly enhanced. I'll definitely come back again.
GGuest UserI chose this hotel for my trip, and the room was thoughtfully furnished. The twin beds were very spacious, and two adults could comfortably stay in one room. The bedding was clean, pure white, soft and gentle on the skin, and provided just the right amount of support. After a long day of business travel, I could fall asleep immediately. The upholstered headboard was a thoughtful touch, preventing discomfort when using my phone at night. The placement of power outlets and switches was also very convenient, making charging and controlling the lights easy. The hotel's attention to detail was evident; the throw pillows and bed runner were stylishly coordinated, not the generic hotel furnishings, but rather a comfortable and inviting touch. There was also a lounge chair by the window, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun or enjoying a cup of tea. Cleanliness was impeccable. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless and odorless, the floors and surfaces were impeccably clean, and the bathroom was spotless and tidy, giving me peace of mind. The staff were also very attentive, checking me in quickly and patiently answering any questions. Overall, the service was excellent, making me feel very comfortable.
It's very close to the museum and Crescent Lake, making it very convenient to get around and providing a great experience. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend choosing this place!
