|15.3km from city centerThe hotel is located in the suburbs of Glasgow. It is very convenient to take a rest after coming down from the highlands. There are also delicious Asian dishes within 3 kilometers. The rooms are very simple and warm. The hotel is located in a small forest. There are plenty of parking spaces. When I was at the breakfast shop, I found that there was no Asian face. It was a good local experience.

|2.51km from city centerFor the first time ever I phoned reception to complain about the noise. There was a function going on downstairs that was so obnoxious. When I called reception the guy who answered just sighed, told me that he'd had several complaints and the music would continue until 12.45...
The corridor was SO noisy. All the doors are set to slam closed. And slam they do....
I was travelling with my 10 year old daughter. We both had a terrible night's sleep.
Staff didn't ask how my stay was or how I'd slept when checking out. As a frequent traveller I think that's the first time this has happened. Probably just as well as I'd have told them....
The room was clean but there was no shampoo in the container in the bathroom. Very basic.
Saving grace was the swimming pool. Especially with a 10 year old. We were allowed to swim in the morning which really cheered her up.

|0.53km from city centerOverall experience was great. the hotel has a lovely first impression when you walk in, and it smells lovely.
Checking in quick and easy, staff very friendly.
Only a small problem was when we checked in. I was asked if we would be using the car park, which I said yes we will be, I was told it is £15 per night, which I had no problem I then paid by card with the parking.
The staff member never asked us for our car registration plate at the time, but I didn't think anything about it.
Also, be aware that while parking in the car park, our car rear window got smashed as there are mental pipes sticking out of the very low units. The hotel wasn't interested at all as it's park at your own risk.
After my husband spoke to someone at the reception desk about our smashed rear window, he proceeded to look at our reservation, and there was no log of a car registration, but we had already paid. My husband explained this, and the person at the reception said we should have been asked our registration plate prompt to fill something in, which we weren't.
A few days after we arrived home, we received a fine through the post for using the car park without paying, quick call to the hotel and it was quickly rectified. A few issues that shouldn't have happened.

|0.92km from city centerHaving stayed here a few times before due to its location and reasonable price, I was left disappointed this time. I had booked this hotel because for some reason every hotel in Glasgow that weekend was unusually expensive. Hotels I would have expected to pay >£100 were £150/180. The jury’s was £111. A warm welcome from reception staff and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were allocated (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious because it was an accessible room, not at our request so maybe why it was cheaper than others. The above two points didn’t really bother us because it was just somewhere to sleep as we were attending a gig. Unfortunately we did not sleep very well. The windows didn’t do enough to soundproof the outside street noise, the walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours talking, plugging and unplugging electrical items- all minor quiet stuff which you shouldn’t really be able to here. Our room had a buzzing noise coming from the vent in the room which kept us awake til 7.30am… and then the neighbours started getting ready to check out. We never complained during the night because we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were back to sleep, it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated, and for this reason I don’t think I’d chose to stay here again.

|1.13km from city centerMy wife and I planned a night out in Glasgow for our friends 40th birthday and booked this hotel for the night. I must say this hotel wasn't what I was expecting the front of house staff were really friendly and professional however that manager needs to learn she is in her position because of the customers and she should learn to speak to the customer in a more professional manner. In the space of 10 minutes while we were checking in we both saw her being disrespectful to 4 different customers. THE BAR and RESTAURANT The choice of drinks were ok however there was no draft beer available. They also had cocktails in the fridge however the barman refused to sell any to us due to the management not allowing him to do so. We paid for morning breakfast and they had a choice of continental or hot breakfast. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. THE ROOM The room was very simple. It had a small TV with standard free channels. The issue I had with the room was the staff only put 1 towel in the bathroom. If there are 2 people staying it should be policy that you get 2 towels. I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are fixed and I will not be returning.

|2.04km from city centerOur trip to Glasgow was only to attend a concert at the SSE Hydro arena, so we booked our stay based upon that event. I found the Campanile Hotel online as one of the closest hotels surrounding the arena and the price was good compared to the other hotels, which was the main selling point. I read reviews that it was a ‘no frills’ hotel which was fine by me as we didn’t plan to be in the hotel other than to sleep and for breakfast. On arriving I knew we couldn’t check in until three but we arrived at one knowing there was a lounge area to hang out in until our room was ready. The bar didn’t open till half 2 which was slightly annoying and there wasn’t a great area for ‘lounging’ but fortunately we were informed by the person on the desk that a room may be available sooner if house keeping had finished, so we managed to get in to our room for half 1 which was good! I did unfortunately notice a group of girls trying to check in at half 1 after being told online they could pay for early check, only to find out on arrival that no such thing existed. Our room was basic but fine for what we needed the room for. Could have been cleaner but again, I didn’t expect much when I booked. The bed was comfy and the pillows were good. Considering we booked the hotel based on a concert it was a surprisingly quiet sleep once the event was over. We knew there could be a chance of other noisy guests but gone midnight the hotel quietened down and I had a good sleep. We were first down for breakfast at 7am. Breakfast was very basic, again, no frills but did the job with all the usual options of a hot breakfast buffet style and a few cereals/pastries. The hotel were happy to book us a taxi for our return to the airport which was useful. Going on my personal experience our trip to Glasgow and our stay at the Campanile was good, couldn’t have gone better BUT I was very aware of other visitors not having the same experience with a few visitors having issues checking in. The hotel couldn’t be better situated for events at the SSE so I would recommend based on location, but everything else I would mark as average at best.

|0.82km from city centerAnother birthday stay at this hotel, club room dinner B&B. Room was spotless, all staff were helpful, friendly, professional and polite. Needed some assistance with a lamp in the bedroom when we arrived and reception addressed this in minutes. Staff were so attentive. Restaurant just launched a new menu and food was outstanding, breakfast also outstanding. I have stayed in numerous Mal hotels for years and Glasgow is my favourite. Lovely little touch with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne for my birthday and a card from the team in room on arrival, thank you!

|0.82km from city centerI've stayed here a couple of times. On the edge of Glasgow centre but an easy 10 minute walk. Really nice touches of design in the communal areas and in the bedrooms. I got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the same restaurant. Only negative was that the dinner service was sometimes a little slow.

|3.83km from city centerI like the service very much in a purely British hotel. I have to check out at 11 o'clock because the flight is still early. I negotiated with the hotel for a late checkout. The hotel originally said that it would charge 15 pounds for every hour of delay. Later, the hotel paid the delay fee. It’s worth recommending if you don’t need it.

|0.71km from city centerThe city center is cheap and there is a bar on the first floor. And it's 20-30 meters away from the train station center where I'm going to the meeting. This geographical location is absolutely amazing. The house is consistent, always English, but the security is very good, there is a bathtub in it, but the heating is not sure if it is broken or I will not use it.

|22.93km from city centerWe celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday with a fabulous party in the Cameron Suite at Castlecary House Hotel on Saturday 7th September. Fiona & Gerry were very helpful throughout the booking process & ensured everything was just perfect! The venue was stunning, the buffet was delicious & the music was fantastic! A big thank you to the DJ, kitchen staff & bar staff. Our family & friends were very complimentary! Jo, Sarah, James & Jamie you did a fantastic job! We had an early family dinner in the beer garden & Cary Bar. These are both nice spaces to dine. The menu is really good & the food was delicious! We stayed in the Islay Suite & enjoyed a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning with our family. It was a perfect end to an amazing weekend. We would highly recommend Castlecary House Hotel for dining, special events & overnight stays. Marie & David

|0.88km from city centerThe location of the hotel is good, very close to the shopping street and several train stations. Although it is an old hotel, but the decoration is not long, the room is large, spacious and clean, the bathroom is also very large, and with the kitchen, there are dishes, wine glasses, etc., there is an induction cooker (that is, no pot), with a range hood, microwave oven. Every floor of the breakfast is very high. In short, very good hotel, first-class service, first-class hardware, very willing to recommend.

|2km from city centerDue to a flight diversion, I unexpectedly arrived in Glasgow at 1am. Quickly, it became clear that the large convention in the city meant that hotel availability was going to be a real problem. After several failed attempts to find a room, I arrived at the Courtyard and Javier from the from the front desk kindly let me in (door was shut as it was 2am by now) and found me a very comfortable room. He was very understanding of the travel challenges I was experiencing and checked me in quickly and efficiently and gave me a complimentary bottle of water. The room was modern and bed extremely comfortable. There were a lot of well positioned plug and USB sockets. Great shower and amenities. This is a great hotel and Javier is a credit to the Marriott brand.

|0.65km from city centerWe walked up from Queen Street Station in less than 10 minutes and were met by Dave the Concierge who lifted our bag in to reception. Chelsea on reception was very kind with a great upgrade due to status and that set us up for a marvellous return trip to the Kimpton Blythswood. The old Scottish Automobile Club building is lovely and the sunny views out onto the gardens in front were very welcome, though the windows in the Salon could be doing with a wash...... Our room was superb, very clean with shower and tub. And some Tunnocks wafers to go with our cuppa. Nice touch. During the social hour we were served by Dave who brought our wine up to the Salon - the old 80m long drawing room on the 1st floor. I had hoped the Salon Bar would have been opened after our last stay, but staffing seems to be the issue. Breakfast in the morning was very good with attentive and engaging staff. We left as we arrived with Dave opening the door and taking us to street level, with his usual chat and charm. We felt special. Thanks.

|1.97km from city centerThe Sandyford Lodge was a perfect location for visiting someone at the University of Glasgow--great restaurants and pubs nearby and on the main bus line. We could also walk to the City Centre car rental location to rent a car for the weekend (when parking was free on the street in front of the establishment). The front desk is available 24/7 and the family is very accommodating. The key thing to know though in choosing Sandyford Lodge is that this is not a commercial brand hotel: there's no elevator, no amenities (ice machine, gym, etc.), and the rooms are minimalist. The beds are comfortable and there is a desk & chair, small closet (with plenty of hangers), TV, electric teapot, bars of soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower--but there are no extras (no table, lounge chair or couch, fridge, safe, iron, countertop, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, decorations, clock, etc.). The windows are big and can be opened, which is very helpful as there is no room thermostat and the room's electric lighting options are limited. The one challenge was the shower, which is extremely tight (and the door would not probably allow someone who is particularly stout to even enter). That said, the facilities, cleanliness, and service were at the right price for our extended stay.

|0.59km from city centerI had a single room booked without breakfast for $149. It was extremely small and uncomfortable. The furniture was cheap particle board and plastic. The mattress and pillows were thin, there were no amenities like a refrigerator, toiletries, bath mat, no coffee on the tray just tea bags with sugar no milk. No place to store your suitcase. No luggage rack available. No shelf or ledge in the bathroom to place anything. One small light shining down on the top of your head in the bathroom, making putting on make up an adventure. You get the picture. Thrilled I was staying only one night. The location isn't the best unless you need to be close to central station. The hotel website claims this is a luxury property. Nothing remotely luxurious about it. There are far better choices to stay in Glasgow than this place.

|3.56km from city centerDO NOT BOOK! If I could give it a zero I would. My partner had 2 hotel rooms booked with the hotel in which he gets told there’s only one available after booking on the website stating 2 were available. My partner told them he would like to cancel the room as he needs 2 not 1. They were really rude on the phone no manners and told him it’s not there provlem it’s *********** fault. *********** said it is the hotel when we phoned to ask as we were advised. The hotel after did not pick up his calls anytime he phoned so when we went up there to explain the situation staff were trying to change the story up and finally after battling with them they said the manager would phone us on Monday. It had been 3 days and no phone from anyone. When I tried to phone off my number I asked who I was speaking to and got immediately hung up on and now my calls aren’t getting answered eother. Im afraid I can’t keep wasting my time trying to get the right to our money back when we didn’t check in or out and will have to complain higher up. Would NEVER go back there again. And to too it all off they are removing my review off their actual website ahaha

|0.32km from city centerGreat common spaces, fantastic coffee and excellent service. The shower is good but bedroom cramped and the bed is against three walls so if there are two of you and you need to get out of bed in the night you need to be young and/or athletic. Also nowhere to put luggage and smart tv breaks up and loses sound. A triumph of style over function. But still an enjoyable place to stay unless you get up a lot in the night

|1.92km from city centerOur recent stay at Moxy Glasgow SEC was comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. The availability of heavily subsidised parking next to the hotel (which must be validated by asking at reception) was an added bonus - only £8/day! The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward, with friendly staff at reception. Accessed with a key-card, our room, although compact and overlooking the aforementioned car park, was modern, clean and provided good amenities. The view from the room didn't detract from our stay, as with the curtains drawn and window closed, any car park light/noise could be avoided - this was necessary the nights events were on at the SEC. Our room was a 'moxy twin sleeper' (two single beds) - though the beds were really close together. Additionally, there wasn't really any storage space, and the use of paper cups instead of the use of mugs could have elevated the room. Despite this, the room was well-decorated and met our needs during a four-night stay. Overall, the Moxy Glasgow SEC was well-priced, and the modern, clean rooms helped us to have a pleasant and comfortable stay!
