|2.33km from city centerWe stayed here specifically for the waterpark. My 11 yr old son loved it and had a blast. Even I enjoyed going down the slide with him. The pool area was quite clean and there were always staff available. Our room was standard but clean and the beds were comfortable. They showed breakfast as an amenity but there was none when we were there. We had a good stay and will come back if we visit Sioux Falls again.

|4.89km from city centerMy wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving before 3PM to a welcoming receptionist who checked my ID, processed my payment while I filled out a liability paper, then presented the key cards. We took the elevator to the 3rd floor. Room #316 had new carpet, clean with a comfortable king, desk & chair, easy chairs, clothes bar and medium sized refer with micro & coffee machine. Opening window view to the side parking lot. The fully outfitted bathroom had a tub/shower and powerful fan. The medium sized TV had a hotel guide with 52 channels(CNBC, CNN, ESPN, HGTV, MSNBC, networks, etc). Good secure wifi, ample outlets, good lighting and under window AC/heat. The 7AM breakfast was very good: OJ, apples, raisin bran, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, bread and coffees. Overall, we had a quiet night’s sleep and enjoyed our stay.

|4.83km from city centerI can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff at this hotel are so I’ll tell you my experience. I booked through Expedia and i booked the wrong night non refundable! The concierge helped me change the reservation and even honored the rate I booked. He then suggested a local restaurant, the frying pan, which is walking distance and also really good. I left in a hurry and had a big journey ahead. It was 3-4 hours before I even noticed that my wedding ring was missing!!! I panicked and scoured my car for awhile before I retraced my steps and realized it could have fallen off while I slept. I called the hotel and asked if they had seen it. They said no but they would look for it. Not only did they find it but they mailed it back to me with insurance to make sure I’d get it back!! I’m so impressed and forever grateful. Stay here if you’re going to stay anywhere in Sioux Falls.

|6.81km from city centerStayed here October 17 & 18, 2021. We stay at Holiday Inn Express locations a lot and this was the absolute worst we've ever been to. It is no where near the level of other HIE facilities we've stayed at. Property was understaffed, to be sure. Check-in person not exactly helpful. Other (limited) staff seemed quite good, though. 2nd floor Room very dated and not the cleanest. The carpet was separated from the floor in places (see photo). Very low hot water pressure in bathroom (see photo). Did not try the shower. Breakfast was sp**** and hot food consisted of a limited amount of reheated breakfast sandwiches only, and no pancake machine. Coffee seemed to be yesterday's. Most food was gone by 7:30 and not re-stocked. To top it off, the south outdoor entry door mechanism was sticking and did not latch properly. This would allow access to someone without a key-card. Informed the desk clerk and he said that they were aware of this, but the repair part is back-ordered (as many things are these days).

Sioux Falls
|4.75km from city centerI have stayed in Sioux Falls many times and typically, I stay at one of the hotels closer to the Empire Mall. This time, I have tried something diffierent. This is probably one of more difficult reviews I have written because there are both goods and bad parts regarding this hotel. I will begin with the good. I found the management and front-desk staff very helpful during my stay. The friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable. Likewise, the modern and clean ground floor was very welcoming. Last good, raised the issue of about the room being cleaned and management immediately addressed it. It is not until you get to your room that some of the issues are noticed. I found the room to be very outdated. The furniture was very worn and old. The carpet looked, as though, it was there since the 80s. For a lack of better description, it had a very cheap Motel 6 feel to it. To add to Motel 6 vibe, the room was only cleaned once during my 2 week stay and it was not cleaned very well. To make it worse, cleaning staff never stopped by, every few days, to see if I need coffee or towels. I raised this issue and it was addressed. From staying there and talking with staff, the hotel is going through an upgrade. This was appearent with the work being done while staying there. Another drawback was the kitchenette. While it had 2 burners there was only 1 frying pan. This made cooking a meal very difficult, like breakfast. Finally, the big drawback for me, is it is not very near anything. While yes, it is near a few restaurants and WalMart. If you do not have a car, the walk is a good 5 - 20 minutes and if it is winter, then it can be a very brutal walk. As for me, would I stay there again? Not sure, I might be willing to try it again once the refurbishing is done. However, it will not be my preferred hotel and the lack of cleaning the rooms has really put me off wanting to say here. Plus, the hotel does not offer breakfast, which with a kitchenette you do not necessarily need. However, the option is nice because if you have a busy day, with one frying pan, then having the option for breakfast take the pressure off of you plus it helps defray the cost of an extended stay. My advice, consider carefully the lack of cleaning of rooms, no breakfast being provided, and the distance from restaurants and shopping against the room rate. It is not the best hotel and it is not the worst. However, the lack of amentiies can be fraying especially if you are staying over a week.

|4.21km from city centerStayed here during the worst Winter I have ever experienced (Think Antarctica!). Yep, that is -47 degrees! The room was ready and was perfectly fine. The temperature of the room was a different story. The window (s) were not sealed and there was so much cold air coming in that the heater could not keep up. I had a twin Queen so I used those covers too. The front staff was very helpful. They offered me a space heater and had that cranked all the way up too. The next day they moved me to another room and that was SO much better. They are remodeling so construction materials all around, but I expect it will look great when finished. I WOULD definitely stay there again-just not there, or anywhere in a SD winter. BRR, just thinking about it.

|6.5km from city centerThe hotel was very clean and relatively new. We had plenty of space in our suite. Every time someone on our floor closed their door, it created a vacuum effect and sucked our door against the door jam creating a bam. We also heard the footsteps of our neighbors upstairs. Besides the noise, front desk was great and the rooms were lovely.

|5.14km from city centerOne night stopover on our drive through the state. Room was well appointed with a sitting area separated from the bedroom. Desk area is the separation. Tv is between and can swing between the two sides. Can use your phone as the remote for the tv. A small bar area with microwave and fridge. Fridge didn’t have a freezer. Bathroom had a nice shower. Spacious with good towels and water pressure. Nice lighting throughout the room. Could be dim or bright as you wanted. Bed was comfortable and clean. Only one side had a bedside table. Room darkening shades on the windows. Even though it was close to the interstate it was quiet in the room. The usual breakfast type things in the lobby. Nothing special there. Has a pool and exercise area.

|6.27km from city centerWell done, Hilton! We stayed here one night since we arrived in the city one day before our convention started. This was a superb choice. The staff was great, and everything was clean and well vacuumed - not like so many hotels these days that seem to go days before the floors are cleaned. The room was bright and cheerful, and the bed superb. The breakfast is a true breakfast like you’d find in a restaurant. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

|6.8km from city centerI visited Sioux Falls as a part of a road trip in the mid west. I stayed one night at the hotel. The location is easy to reach. I needed to do the weekly laundry and I used this facility. It costs $3 for the washer and drier ($1.75 for the washer and $1.25 for the drier). They have just one washer and one drier, but I didn't see other people using it and didn't have to wait for my turn. The breakfast was standard with an omelette and bacon and potatoes as the hot choices. There was the regular pastries, cereal and yogurts as in other Hampton Inns. To drink you could get a few types of coffee, hot tea and cold juices. The room was spacious, but nothing special. The bathroom had a shower. The room was clean and I didn't have any issues with it. There were car noises from the area that reached the room, but when I went to bed, around midnight, it was quiet. The reception service was good on check in and on check out.

|4.89km from city centerWe had a king bed with sofa, microwave, and refrigerator. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. We were able to adjust the AC to our comfort. The woman who checked us in was very welcoming. However, this facility is in need of an update. Much of the wood trim and doors are scuffed and scratched, which not a good look. Breakfast was standard for this type of lodging, but the milk was about to turn sour. We were a little concerned about some of the people who were wondering around outside, as well as the patrons of a bar across the street, but didn’t experience any problems related them. It’s a very convenient location, right off I29.

Sioux Falls
|7.12km from city centerThis particular TownePlace has been our go-to hotel for years when we come to Sioux Falls to visit family. The biggest draw for this property specifically is that they have 2-bedroom rooms for pretty affordable rates. This is a perfect room for families traveling together, particularly those with teens, and helps avoid the cost of having 2 separate rooms. This is why we have historically stayed at this property time and time again. The last couple of times staying at this property, our experiences have been not so great. The time before our most recent stay, we got to our room, and one of our kids went to use the bathroom, and the toilet had NOT been cleaned from the previous occupant. They had gotten sick in the toilet, and the evidence was still very much present. We called the front desk, and the manager was the one working at the time and immediately came up to clean it. He did what he could in his power to make this situation better for our family. We were satisfied with his efforts to remedy the situation. However, I really wonder how this was missed by housekeeping prior? My family is of various heights, and we all could see the vomit still splattered in the toilet. It makes you wonder what other shortcuts they are taking, honestly. My most recent experience was a solo trip to visit some friends. I got into the hotel around 10 pm and walked to the front desk to check-in. I stood around and waited for the employee to come to the desk, which was about 2-5 minutes; I could hear her around the corner in the office. I received no ”Hi or Hello” simply ”checking in?” I'm aware working at a hotel on the overnight shift isn't the most glamourous or satisfying job, but a simple 'Hello' after a long drive is appreciated. She asked for my ID, clicked a few buttons, told me to swipe my credit card, and handed me a room key for the 2nd floor. Our Marriott profile has a high floor room indicated, and I know there were some available as the people who checked in after receiving a higher floor room (we rode on the elevator together). The sound dampening between the floors of this particular hotel is not the best, so if you have someone above you that has children or is a heavy walker, you will hear it through the floor. I promptly check the bed as I do every time I stay somewhere away from home and find no mattress protector, simply a fitted sheet on the mattress. Exhausted, I shrug it off and go to bed as I had an event the following day. Partway through the night, I awake to a stifling hot room. The thermostat is not located in the room's sleeping area; instead, in the entry area is motion-activated after an unknown amount of time. Before turning in, I had turned the fan on high for air movement and noise, and the room was silent, hot, and stuffy upon awakening. This is not a game one wants to play when trying to sleep. This occurred the next night and is extremely frustrating and provides for a restless night. Why did I not talk to the front desk about

|3.15km from city centerWe live three hours away and just needed a decent room for the night prior to an early morning medical procedure. We chose this hotel for its location fairly close to the Medical Center and for the reasonable rate. I was concerned by the heavy smell of cigarette smoke just outside the entrance, but there was no trace of smoky smell once we went inside. The lobby and our room appeared fresh and clean. It looks to have received new floor coverings in the lobby and a fresh coat of paint throughout. The staff was welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Although this is an older hotel and shows some wear, the recent face lift has given it new life. Our room and bed were clean and comfortable. This Sleep Inn is located on a busy intersection yet no street noise penetrated to our room. I made a couple trips to the convenience store across from the hotel entrance and was pleased with the staff there as well. I felt perfectly safe. I cannot comment on the pool or exercise room as we did not use them. Both areas appeared clean, but I did notice a sign reporting that the hot tub was out of order. The breakfast fare offered a nice selection and is pretty typical. We were pleased with our stay and would recommend the Sleep Inn for a pleasant stay at a reasonable rate.

|6.33km from city centerWe have stayed at this hotel in the past. Each visit proves to show neglect of the hotel. It was dirty. Even the elevator buttons were dirty our room needed to be swept the hallways and main lobby are was unkept The doors to the rooms, elevators, and glass doors needed attention. The coffee was not drinkable. The breakfast was good and the counters were relatively clean. We did enjoy the pool. This is the only hotel on the east side of Sioux Falls, which is very convenient for us. We usually drive into Sioux Falls to stay because the last couple of stays here were not nice. The staff is very kind and pleasant. Although we noticed one guest received water and snacks. We were given those at check in.

|6.63km from city centerReason: Family Road-trip to Mt. Rushmore Location: This hotel was about 15 minutes from I-90 so a little bit of a drive from our main thoroughfare but we were closer to River Falls Park. Starbucks and a liquor store are across the street and a couple of gas stations are two minutes away. Hotel and Room Setup: Hotel and room is pretty close to what is shown online. The room shows a little bit of age and wear but for the most part it is in good shape. The room we stayed in was a suite, the bedroom was separated from the living area and there was also a kitchenette in the room with a fridge, stovetop, and dishwasher. The hotel itself shows some wear on the outside but the inside is clean and in good shape. Food: Coffee, tea, and water are served all day. There is also a minimart onsite to buy snacks and drinks. Breakfast was pretty good, a nice full hot breakfast. It included waffles, real eggs with cheese, biscuits and gravy, sausage, oatmeal bar, and an assortment of breads and fruit. Pool and Other Amenities: The pool and hot tub area was really nice and the whole family enjoyed it. The pool was heated which is always a bonus and the hot tub was pretty huge. Pool towels were thick and soft. Price: Price was a little steep for one night - $150 bucks a night. I used Hilton Honors points so we didn't pay a dime so it didn't bother me too much. Overall: There are a lot of choices in Sioux Falls so it all depends what you are looking for in a hotel. We like the suite style of room with a separate bedroom and a nice hot breakfast so Homewood Suites fits our preferences.

|0.71km from city centerThis is located right along the river and you have to get out there and go for a walk. The path leads all the way down to the falls. It is worth the walk - it is only about 6 blocks or so. The artwork or sculpture right out back is really cool. I am not an art guy, but that is cool and they change the lights on it every night.

|5.22km from city centerWhen I got into town, it was late, I was tired as I was traveling for hours and when I checked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and courtesy as I was being assisted by Jen the overnight Night hotel receptionist. Jen made my my checking process, smooth and seamless she even offered assistance by gaveling me advice on some of the questions that I had pertaining to the things I needed accomplish in the city. As a veteran and a person of color I really appreciate courtesy and professionalism whenever I travel and stay at hotels and I was grateful that Jen was all of the above and she showed it in her care, concern and mannerisms when interacting with me she made it easy for me to choose to stay at this hotel the entire time until I had accomplished what I came to do! The daytime receptionist Milan is also very professional, very helpful, very courteous, and he also helped me by giving me much needed information which helped me in accomplishing my task, both Jen and Milan made my stay here very special and memorable. The facilities are safe and the rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. It’s not a continental breakfast. It is a full hot breakfast with a lot to choose from. I will definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Sioux Falls area as you will not be disappointed, as the staff is completely professional and friendly! Book your say, I give them 5 stars, thank me later!

|4.53km from city centerWe have been on a month long road trip and are using Hampton Inns whenever possible. This hotel is right off the highway and near lots of places to eat and shop. Some within walking distance. Also just a short distance to Sightseeing and downtown. Lots of brewpubs to choice from. Our room had a smaller bathroom than most HI hotels we have experienced. Very clean, but less counter space at bathroom sink. The breakfast buffet was a little disappointing from our last stay which had healthier options in the bread and bagel department. Here they only allowed two waters for our three day stay (all others allowed water for each day of stay- even more if I asked. They do not allow late check out for silver members but check out is 12noon anyway. I love the digital (contactless) check in/out and being able to pick out your room.

|4.45km from city centerRented a suite— very spatious & nice room. Close to everything & can walk to several eateries & shops. The only negative was around 9pm at night they would turn on the security lights in the parking lot in front of the hotel & they shined (way too) brightly into one’s room. They essentially are floodlights! Would be nice if the lights were directed downwards! The breakfast is wonderful! They have an assortment of hot food items including omelettes, sausages, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, French toast & the usual food fare. I liked how they put pairs of sliced bread, bagels and English muffins in zip lock bags for sanitary purposes and how they had hand gel dispensers in the lobby and near the entry and exit doors to hotel. My only suggestion is that they extend the breakfast hours. An end time of 9:30am is way too early especially if you have been out celebrating a special family function such as a graduation & want to sleep in. 😉

|3.02km from city centerMy wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Sioux Falls-Airport at the beginning of February. We were there for two nights with a large group. The quality of the hotel was surprising as it was much better than I had anticipated. The rooms were nice and clean, the bed was ridiculously comfortable, the ”black out” shades were divine, and I was pleased with the quality of the restroom features as well. I truly did not anticipate this level of quality from a Holiday Inn. The one downside to this particular weekend was the fact that the hotel had no real way to accommodate a group our size for getting together in the evenings for drinks and socializing. It would be nice if there was some sort of conference room area for this as they didn't like us being in the rooms, but didn't want us in the lobby either. The group was roughly 40 people, so there is going to be volume when drinks/socializing happen, so I understand the disturbance factor from the rooms. A specified area for this type of gathering would be great because no one wants to get out of the hotel when it's -10 degrees.
