Although it is not a hotel, it is much better than ordinary homestays. The rooms are clean and large enough. It is worth mentioning that breakfast starts at 8 o'clock, but my brother will help us to prepare it at 6 o'clock everyday. It was also very good. One day we went to the Vatican earlier. The little brother also helped us to prepare for it early. I was very moved.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Art Hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and our request for our two rooms to be near each other was accommodated. The rooms were very comfortable and everything we needed was available. The breakfast choice was vast and very fresh. One annoyance: the restaurant chairs are very big and heavy; great for couples sitting at a table, but not brilliant for three or more people! The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere during our four night stay, with a great choice of restaurants, cafes and wine bars only a few minutes walk away. I don't often like to visit the same hotel twice, but if returning to Rome, would certainly book Art Hotel.

This hotel was in a really great location! We felt very safe and lots of sights were within walking distance. The Spagna metro station very close. We actually went from the Fiumicino airport on a train and then the metro to this hotel and found it to be pretty easy. The hotel itself was pretty clean and the staff was very friendly. The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner but overall good. They have a complimentary mini bar in all the room which included two bottles of water, a soda, and a juice. It also included to small snacks. The reason I’m giving it only 4 stars was because they told us that we had to move to one of their other locations because they had maintenance scheduled. I would think that the maintenance should have been rescheduled instead of a guest’s plans. With that said they arranged it all for us to take a taxi that they reimbursed us for. However, the hotel they sent us to was less than ideal. See my review for the iRooms Central Station location.

My wife and I stayed at Naman Hotellerie for a week. We never received any sort of communication from the hotel, and we had to try numerous times to contact them to confirm our airport transfers. It was frustrating, but this can happen when you are trying to connect with an 9 hour time difference, so I didnt really pay any attention to it. We arrived at the airport unsure of what to find, low and behold there was someone who was holding a sign with our names on it! Frustratingly the price we agreed to (50 euros) with the hotel manager was NOT what the driver told us (60 euros). When we got to the hotel, located in a cute, quiet cobblestone alley, we had no idea how to enter. We were never given the code to enter, if it weren't for the nice guest downstairs giving us the code it would have taken forever. We were never given our room number either. After calling the number we found online for the hotel, we were connected with someone who was able to give us the information. Finally in the room! The room itself was very cute, the main part of the room was well decorated and cozy. Beautiful paintings on the ceiling and nice finishing. Small detail, but the pictures of the room all included nice plants, those were not in the room. The bathroom was nice at first glance, but if you look longer than a minute you will find pretty bad water damage all around the shower. Housekeeping came every day, but again there was no way to indicate when or what we wanted done. The nice girl just said ”let me know what you need”, but she was not on site... so we just had to hope we ran into her as we were coming or going. Not really a great method of ensuring your customers feel comfortable. This isn't her fault obviously, she was very nice, but whoever managers her needs a better system. Our soap ran out in the shower AND the sink on the 2nd to last day and since we didn't run into her, we couldn't tell her we needed more. You would think this would get refilled as a part of clearing the room or prepping it for a new guest, but it didn't. So we ended up just buying a bar of soap at the local store. Another frustrating point was that the hotel manager again never confirmed what time our hotel transfer would be TO the airport. I tried to call and the number just kept telling me it was ”unavailable”. I used the gmail adress I was given to contact him and it would take him a full day to respond. When I asked ”Can you please confirm what time our transfer will be here on Monday to take us to the airport” he legitimately replied with ”Yes of course” and NOTHING else... like the TIME. Frustratingly I got an answer our of the phone number I found on google for the hotel. Nothing ever from the hotel manager. Again, the price for the transfer went up AGAIN (we started at 50 euro, then it was 60 euro, now it was 70 euro). At this point we just didn't want to email or call anyone anymore so we paid it and left. All in all I would give the room itself a 4/5. If not for the l

My sister, brother-in-law, and I stayed at Hotel Manfredi in early November 2022 and we could not ask for more in a hotel. My hotel room was perfect, roomy, and comfortable; after a long day out, it was great to come ”home” (yes, I thought of it as my home in Rome). The breakfast, which we were lucky to enjoy a few mornings was delicious (it's not just a donut and coffee - I mean I am talking a full spread including eggs, tarts, cheeses, bacon, hash browns and more) so filling that we could skip lunch, which saved more money to spend on dinners. The staff was very kind and attentive to our needs. When my brother-in-law suddenly had a health issue, Roberta came to the room to make sure he was ok. He needed a doctor later and the hotel staff helped arranged for one to come to the hotel room! Made a scary time, less scary. This review is long over due. I will be returning to Rome soon, and I know Hotel Manfredi is where I want to stay. And did I mention that it is in a beautiful historic building? The wide elegant stairs are gorgeous and makes you think you are in another time. The hotel location is fantastic on Via Margutta, very near to where parts of a ”Roman Holiday” was filmed. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. I also enjoyed the Italian tradition of passeggiata after dinner every evening - I didn't gain one pound even though I was eating upwards of three gelatos a day, and a huge amount of pasta. You feel safe walking around the area because everything is still mostly open after dinner and lots of people are out strolling or eating again. The food in Rome is amazing, but I don't have to tell prospective travelers that!! Come to Rome and stay at the Hotel Manfredi! I will again soon.

This was the second time staying here for my family of 3; the first being six years ago. So we obviously liked it enough to come back. The location can't be beat, near the Spanish steps, many good restaurants, walking distance to many other city attractions. The furnishings are charming if busy and the reception generally friendly. The building has a lot of old world charm, including the elevator, and the food at breakfast was adequate. The hotel is also old and tired. ”Historic” needn't mean run down and dirty. When one arrives, it's unclear how to enter the building, whereas the other hotel that shares that building has clear signage for where to go. Our ”triple” room had a 4th bed crammed in, which required the desk to be shoved against a wall and made it even harder to move around in the room. When we asked, they told us they couldn't remove the bed or change our rooms. It also had a piece of gum on the desk–GROSS! How did the cleaning staff not notice!? The breakfast room had no or minimal air conditioning, when temperatures in Rome were in the mid to high 90s F / close to 40 C. The staff person working the breakfast room also grew upset when we chose to sit at a different table from the one she wanted us to use; what did it matter? We chose a table for 3! The food at breakfast was adequate at best. By 9AM they had run out of plain croissants. The ”mini bar” consisted of two bottles of water, and the only cups were plastic. There was a lot of pretension of being classy, but ultimately too many small annoyances where the hotel had the onus, had they so chosen, to do better. I imagine it's a very affordable place for the location and will therefore continue to keep its rooms filled despite average to mediocre service.

Pantheon
Rome

We booked boldly Torre Caparanica despite quite a few of the TripAdvisor reviews, which we have thought were based on unusually unrealistic expectations, and we were not wrong. First the location- so central and so quiet at the same time, on Piazza Capranica, in the middle of the middle of Pantheon area of Rome! The room was spacious, greatly decorated, without even mentioning a superb masterpiece on the ceiling and the upper parts of the walls. The staff were extraordinary welcoming, friendly and helpful. everything worked like a charm, from airport transfer to the reception. As we were entering the building I was trying to figure out what were all those complaints in reviews that I had read about. The area is super safe, the entry to the building is quite grandiose, and the room that we stayed in was marvelous. And no, I do not think that the elevator is small in contrary, I though it just added to the feeling of cosiness of the entire building. All in all, a great experience, worth maximum rating!

Good location, very convenient by bus, walking to the Colosseum is also very close. When I arrived at night, I couldn’t find a place to live and die. I didn’t think of the hotel in a church. When I was sleeping, the quilt was very thin. I felt that all Italy was a thin quilt. Breakfast was not good. I drank the most difficult coffee to drink so far. I suggest that I should find a cafe outside to enjoy breakfast.....

The hotel itself is great - large rooms, a bed which was bigger than expected (their double bed is at least the size of a U.S queen and was one mattress not 2 twins pushed together which I encountered in other hotels in Italy). Upbeat, colorful decor was nice to return to after long day. Breakfast buffet was good, as was dinner the 1 night I ate there; front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Overall ambiance of hotel was nice. Only drawback was location, was a bit of a walk (~35 minutes to Colosseum, slightly closer to heart of historic center) to the main attractions. I normally don't mind walking so thought this would be fine, however, most of these attractions also involve walking so you are essentially on your feet all day, and the distance made it difficult to return to hotel for a break/shower. It was 90 degrees every day I was there despite the fact that it was October, which also contributed to the distance seeming too far. There is a metro stop nearby, which I used once and I suppose I could have used more; cabs are difficult to find and less appealing because of all the traffic. If I had it to do over again, I would probably book something closer to the center, even if it meant paying more or staying in a less nice hotel.

This place was more than amazing!!!!! The check -in was easy ( we arrived early so the owner said please come by and leave your luggage and we will have your room ready when you return) the lady who met us at the door was very cheerful and ready to make my sister and I comfortable and see if we had any special needs. When we returned the owner Jon Carlo met us with a very warm smile and showed us everything and informed us of where to go in Rome. I must stress that I am a seasoned traveler and for fifteen years was a flight attendant , and Jon Carlo is the most hospitable host I have ever encountered. During my stay, which was at the end of a sixteen day cruise I came down with a severe sinus issue and did not feel well, Jon Carlo called his family personal physician and had her come and examine me in my room. The physician spoke english and was very personable, and told me I needed antibiotics, and asked me to call my doctor in the USA to confirm that my regular physician approved. Jon Carlo, was so supportive and kind to me and said he would pay the physician and add it to my bill so I did not have to pay cash. The location was at the top of the Spanish Steps. You walk out the doors walk less than 200 feet and you are looking at the square and walking down the Spanish Steps. My bedroom window overlooked the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. This is a wonderful, wonderful place. Clean, Quaint, and it feels like HOME.

We booked this hotel for a three night stay before our cruise. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our corner room had a cute balcony and the décor, furnishings, and vibe is sexy modern. They have a fabulous restaurant where you can grab the breakfast buffet. So many amazing choices. We also had dinner here one night and drinks another. It's tucked away in a very lively and fun neighborhood. Around the corner are tons of restaurants and shops. It's a 6 minute walk to Piazza di Santa Maria where we bought souvenirs, ate gelato and pizza, and hung out with the night crowd. The main street around the corner It's a 35 minute walk to the colosseum and a 45 minute walk to the Vatican. We did each of these on different days. It's definitely centrally located and I would stay here again.

Accommodation is always important and I must say I had a great experience with this hostel. Sometimes I even forgot it was a hostel. I had a single room and a private bathroom. The room was small and cute. Always clean and housekeeping came everyday. I was reluctant to choose a hostel when visiting Rome because I had a unpleasant experience when I visited Sydney but if other hostels provided the attention I was given such as Radio hotel, I would most certainly not be reluctant prior to booking. There was a little issue with a small leak from the bidet in the bathroom and when I mentioned it to the front desk, it was fixed immediately. Every single person I encountered at the front desk were very nice and provided me with great detail how to explore the city and best travel options to get there. As a single female traveler I did not feel uncomfortable at any time. The train station near to this hostel is Roma Travestere. About a 8 minute walk or so from the hostel which you can buy train tickets to visit other cities if you wish. There is also the number 8 tram near the train station which will take you directly into the hotspot where you can roam and see great sites like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps etc. Thumbs up to this place.

Fantastic village, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Train station is around a 30 minute walk from the village where you can get cheap trains to Rome and the airport. Great place to get a good night’s rest and good value too. I stayed there between flights so it was convenient as it is only 1 hour 15 minutes by train to the airport. There are restaurants, plenty of toilets and even a shuttle bus. I didn’t use any of these services because I just needed to sleep but there are lots of amenities. I stayed in a basic room which had 2 beds, table, light and power socket. That’s all you need. There is a heater and blankets for when it gets cold. A generous amount of toilet paper is also provided which can be used in the shared toilets. Staff are friendly. All in all a great place to stay!

FIRST of all I'd like to say that we went to this guest house expecting that it would be a small room with minimal amenities. DO not expect a 4 star hotel.. The room and beds were very comfortable..air conditioning worked well once it was turned on. The bathroom also clean and a reasonable size.. We had an unexpected added addition, a mini balcony overlooking historic Roma. The fridge had beverages to purchase if we needed.. We didnt use the tv so can't comment.. The guest services Reception Julius was wonderful, he made our stay much more enjoyable as we had a lot of questions and concerns that needed to be addressed. Breakfast was ok no hot foods and coffee came from a machine.. Now for the not so great part.. The hotel actually is on the 3rd floor..its almst 5 flights of stairs so if you want to get in shape this hotel is for you..there is an elevator but if you are claustrophobic this is not for you..If you have a lot of luggage this wont work for you...if you want coffee in your room in the morning good luck..both coffee makers brought to our room would not work..Great cafes everywhere though...If you like getting soaked before entering the shower this is for you..shower head water fall off wall and shower wand sprays in your face when you try to switch over or during your shower the wand may switch back to rainfall shower so wear a shower cap if you dont want to wash your hair. Only 1 plug to use all others are being used..dont forget your 3 prong euro adapter.. Get a tutorial on how to open the Guesthouse entrance door or you may be sleeping there as the door is locked after 8 pm til 8am. Added highlights close to everything..5 min from Republic station metro and 10 min from Termini Station. Lots of restaurants everwhere..

1, location, TERMINI train station is very convenient to take the A line, get off in less than ten minutes. One of the best choices for the Vatican Museum in the morning, it's convenient for Tete, and you can walk in three minutes. It is strongly recommended to make an online reservation in advance, with the printed order entered, and the automatic machine exchange ticket inside. 2, breakfast, very good 3, service, very good 4, the price is very good, it is two nights with very high cost performance. 5, the surrounding environment, found a very good steakhouse, Chinese food is also good, Sichuan cuisine is still authentic 6, other traffic: when you go, a certain rickshaw delivery station is also very convenient The hotel front desk also has its own recommendations. The door is not big, the bathroom is not all Mingwei, but it is very clean.

The shuttle service into Rome is a good value, $15 round trip but only runs 4 times per day, does not leave early enough to get you to the airport for an early flight and returns at 9pm, just when the Romans are waking up. The shuttle also stops at 2-3 other INH properties, which causes it to sell out days in advance ( frequently). If the shuttle is full or the times don’t work, now you are into serious dollars to hire a taxi into Rome center. Depending upon where you are going, $45-60 one way ( for 2). We also paid $50 taxi fare from the airport each way.so over the course of the 4.5 days at the hotel, we spent $250-$300 for transportation just to get to town. If I were not staying on points, I would consider an in-town option.

This is a really very good hotel. I enjoyed the quality of the staff, the room ,the location and general quality of the Hotel. It would have got 5 stars but for 2 things.. and both relate to Cielo bar..a superb place for a visitor to Rome staying in the hotel to enjoy the great views of Rome particularly at sunset and a drink. Firstly,we arrived at the rooftop bar to find it full of people not staying in the hotel and there was no priority whatsoever for guests of the hotel. Here the bar and the views were filled with locals paying 16 euros for a drink and the guests paying hundreds of euros each night could not get a seat..and the Restaurant above not open till 7.30. Secondly, the appalling loud music at the bar was totally disruptive to a sophisticated enjoyment of the view trumpeted in the hotels advertising.. It detracted from the general quality of the hotel.. The Hausler next door has a total priority policy for guests next to the De La Ville on their rooftop and indeed our existing hotel in Portifino the same,. Pity it detracted from our stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The friendly and attentive staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The lobby has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, complemented by a pleasant fragrance that immediately sets a relaxing tone. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast experience; not only was the food delicious and varied, but the view from the dining area was simply breathtaking. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast or a quick bite, the panoramic scenery added a special touch to the meal. Overall, my stay was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel again for my next visit.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn, the airport shuttle was not available to bring us from the airport but we were able to get it back so can't really complain. No problems with check in, the ladies on reception were very friendly as was everyone we encountered at the hotels. Rooms were good size, very clean and serviced every day. Breakfast has plenty of variety there is something for everyone, honestly if you couldn't find something to eat its not the hotels fault. The hot food isn't exactly hot but the hotel caters for large numbers so its not a cooked to order type of place and again if you want a full English this is not the place to go. We ate a few nights in the restaurant and to be honest if was very hit and miss, pizza was good as was the pasta dishes. we had the chicken one night and it wasn't the best. Kids eat free so added bonus. The gym is well equipped. the pool was being renovated so we got to use the pool a few minutes walk from the hotel again it would have been nice to be informed that the pool was being renovated just so we would have had choice about our booking but again nothing major about a few minutes walk. The bar is really lovely to have a drink and chill but the hotel when we stayed was very busy so didn't get a real opportunity to sit and relax there. No major complaints from us but would have loved a fridge in the room it was super hot outside and would have been nice to have the complimentary water chilled. On our last night a tour group arrived so there was a lot of banging of doors and people talking in the corridor late in the night, nothing the hotel can do about loud individuals being inconsiderate to those asleep but other than that a very nice stay. Reception sell the train tickets into Rome and the station is a short walk away. The area is a bit run down but that's nothing to do with the hotel. We would be back to see the renovations in the pool area. Thank you

Hotel in a lovely neighbourhood, the restaurants in the area are good especially Taverna Sacchetti . Only 10 minutes on the train to the Vatican. The view from the balcony is also good, the staff are not the friendliest and don’t recognise any sort of Marriott loyalty.

I arrived with several other people and checked in at the same time. Wendy were all booked by the same cruise line. Their rooms were all ready, mine was not. I was told I would have to wait an hour because mine room was being cleaned. Check in was at 2pm, it was 1:45pm. Many people came in after me to check in and all had rooms ready. My room is finally ready and I walk in and it smells so bad that I almost vomit. Coincidentally, that is how the room smells. It was horrible. I went to the front desk and told them that the room smells awful. They lady I spoke with was not rude. She told me to wait one second and she asked who I think was the manager who was not very nice. They told me to go remove my bags and come back and get a new key. I got my bags, went down to the desk, handed a key and they said nothing. No apology nothing. I go to the new room, doesn’t smell but was not that clean. I used a colored wipe to clean the table and desk and it was filthy after cleaning 3 things. The bath tub was also dirty. I had lunch in the hotel restaurant and ordered a pasta and pesto dish. It was so salty that I could only eat one bite. It was not edible. The server ask what was wrong and I told him that it was salty and I couldn’t eat it. This was after someone else had just told him their pasta was too salty. I was charged for my dish even though it was not edible. They also charged me for 2 bottles of water from the shop when I only had one. When I told them that I didn’t eat the lunch and only had one water they keep asking me if I had two lunch’s and 2 purchases from the shop. I had to explain to them 3 times what happened and what I got from the shop. They even went to go ask the restaurant about my lunch as if I was not telling the truth. I didn’t not care for their hotel and if I could go back I would definitely chose a different place to stay.

Good location - walkable to most tourist attractions. Really nice cafe across the street. Small rooms, but clean, quiet, and nice. Amazing pool area with a view of the Collesuim. It closes at dusk which is unfortunate - but it is really nice up there, especially after a long hot day of siteseeing.

This hotel is a lovely oasis away from the tourist areas of Rome. There is a shuttle bus into the centre which is very efficient and we used this every day. Well worth it. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, although dated and we found it very strange that they provided every amenity apart from the two essentials we like in a room - tea/coffee making tray and bottles of water. They did supply 2 tiny bottles which were it till the next day which was nowhere near enough for 30 degrees heat! Very odd for a 5 star hotel to restrict water bottles.... On arrival, we were told our luggage would be sent up to our room but after an hour waiting, went to concierge to try and locate our cases but were told they were too busy and would have to wait till they brought them up. Couldn't take cases up ourselves. The staff in the foyer bar and light dining were excellent and the cocktails were first class. As were the housekeeping staff on our floor who always greeted us with a smile and 'buongiorno'. Breakfast was served either at pool terrace or inside and was extensive choice and very good quality . The scrambled eggs were the best we have ever had in a hotel! Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Cavalieri and would definitely return .
