038038The Fairmont, one of Accor's top-tier hotels, despite its age, is meticulously maintained. The room provided six complimentary bottles of water, and upon returning after dinner, turn-down service had been completed with a glass and water by the bedside. Used coffee pods were also replenished – truly 5-star service. Thank you for the birthday cake service as well. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a rich variety of international dishes. I would love to stay here again if I ever visit Manila. The location is excellent too, with a large shopping mall right across the street that includes a supermarket and shops selling Filipino goods, making it easy to buy souvenirs.
Tawinan S.Tawinan S.I had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and nicely designed, making it a great place to relax after a long day. Ps. I got upgraded to bigger room at the residence side as my previous room having an issue from the noise of the maintenance.
The breakfast also offered a wide variety of options, with something to suit different preferences.
What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Their attitude and hospitality were exceptional across every area. Everyone was warm, attentive, genuinely helpful, and always welcoming. The level of service really made the stay feel special.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely be happy to stay here again in my next visit during October.

Joshua even accommodated my request to switch one of our rooms to a twin-bed type. My only concern was the bathroom. The water pressure wasn’t that strong and it was very basic. Could have been better.
Guest UserGuest UserThe Manila Hotel has an old but elegant and luxurious style. Marble and stone finishing, tall ceilings and a grand piano at the back with a musician playing pleasant music greets you as you walk through the entrance.
Lacking points from my personal experience:
1. The carpet floors need to be replaced. I had to change rooms because the first room I got had an unpleasant smell to it (they quickly changed my room after I went to the reception, so it wasn't terrible) and although I didn't notice until the end of my stay, the new room's carpet was frayed at the edges.
2. The night mode of the lights (many switches) completely cuts power to the power outlets. I didn't know and ended up waking up to a phone and power bank with a dying battery and needing to stay in the hotel a couple of hours until they finished charging. Maybe just a warning in the future?
The good parts:
1. The service! People are SO accommodating, pleasant and efficient. Reception staff, waiters, bell boys and basically everyone greets you with a smile and tries to solve any problems with utmost focus and cordiality.
2. Traditional pride. Traditional fashion exhibition at the front was a great touch to my visit. The whole place (restaurants, pools, spa, rooms, etc) add to the experience. I could have stayed in the hotel and felt like I hadn't missed Manila's charm.
3. Excellent location. I realised early on that I could literally see every single thing from my ”1 day tour of Manila” from my hotel room. Nothing says great location like this.

Honestly, the location alone makes this place worth it. It’s super close to the Mall of Asia, MOA Arena, IKEA, and SMX—you can easily just walk over, which saves you the massive headache of dealing with grab traffic or parking after an event or concert. It’s also just a quick 15-20 minute ride to the airport.
The rooms are surprisingly huge with tons of space to move around, and the beds are really comfy. Plus, having a 12:00 PM checkout is a major lifesaver if you want a relaxed morning and don't want to rush out early. The breakfast buffet has a pretty good spread of local and Western food to fuel up for the day, and the staff here are genuinely nice and helpful.
The only downsides are that the property is starting to look a little dated in some areas (wallpapers, older TV setup, etc.), and the Wi-Fi can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on your room. The pool is also a bit on the small side with not much shade.
But for the price, space, and convenience? It’s a great value. Definitely a solid, hassle-free choice if you need a spot to stay near the arena or airport. Would stay here again!Trending Searches
