Munich Magnificent left people speechless. I booked 2 rooms for 2 days on Ctrip for 9.3-9.5. The order clearly included breakfast. When I checked in, there was a girl with dark skin who looked like an Indian at the front desk. She told me that breakfast was not included. I showed my Ctrip order, so she called and asked me to send her the Ctrip confirmation email. After some operations, she told me I can do it. The whole process takes a long time. When I checked out on the 5th, it was the same girl who showed me the breakfast bill in Figure 1, totaling 558 euros. I said that the order included breakfast, so she said that there was a mistake in the breakfast fee for September 5th and she would not charge it. However, the printing time of the breakfast order for the 4th is 11:01, and including lunch, the charge is 332 euros. We pointed out that our order time in the morning was 9:40. Even if breakfast ends at 11 o'clock, using this as an excuse to charge me a lunch fee does not comply with the standards of most hotels. We insisted on asking her to communicate with the hall manager. She said it would take 20 minutes for the hall manager to come over, so we insisted on waiting. At this time, a German girl next to the girl, who was also the front desk, said to her: Cancel this order. German girls speak German. My friend has lived in Germany for 30 years and understands her well. Then the order was cancelled. The whole incident is very illogical. Such a luxurious hotel and such service are so disappointing! !

The good stuff first: the location is amazing. It’s on a very quiet street but just a handful of minutes away from restaurants, sites, shops and Marienplatz metro station. The room is clean and has a kettle, fridge and complimentary water and coffee. You can earn coins by opting out of housekeeping that you can use for the coffee vending machine at the lobby. It is expensive but one of the cheapest I found in the Old Town area. The staff are super helpful and friendly. It has an elevator so you don’t need to worry about carrying luggage up stairs. Things to consider: the room is on the smaller side, but it’s good enough if you don’t have a lot of stuff. The double bed is made up of two singles and the mattress that we got was really worn out in the middle so we kept on sinking towards the gap. It’s tolerable enough for a few night’s stay.

Munich was the last stop on a long journey and I arrived sick. The person at the check-in desk noted my condition right away and offered me any assistance I needed. I spent the entire next day in our room. I cannot say enough about how kind to me each and every staff person was. It seemed like they all knew I was sick and went out of their way to help me to be comfortable. I ordered room service which was delivered promptly and was quite yummy! They even brought me hot tea. To pass the time, I was able to stream Netflix directly from my phone to the television, which is a feature I have never seen before in a hotel. The hotel is in a great location, and everything was spotless. Very comfortable bed. An in-room bar, not a mini-bar! They even had real ice cubes in the fridge. But the real draw was definitely the staff.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Antares in Munich on Dec 7-8 2019. The location of the hotel is not bad but not great. The hotel was clean and most of the staff was courteous. The staff was not able or willing to give any advice or assistance with anything outside of the hotel, subway, restaurants, attractions, etc... The main thing to keep in mind is the room size. We had a standard double room and it is small! They do give you the size of the room in sq meters so there is no deception; but keep in mind the furniture takes up most of that space to the point that our bed was against the wall at the head and left side of the bed. Also, they requested that you leave your room key at the desk when you left the hotel, we found that a bit strange. When we return to Munich, we will stay further from the city center at a hotel that is convenient to the subway; lower cost and more convenient.

The hotel is small with just 20 rooms. The location is great. Our room was clean and tidy. There are no tv’s this wasn’t a problem as it’s been years since I have watched tv in a hotel room. iPad has kind of replaced that. The WiFi worked well. There is an honesty bar. We didn’t actually use that but there is one. There were a couple of slightly odd things. First was an email saying that the front desk was open till 9pm but if we were checking in after 2pm we needed to email them for an access code. Well check in doesn’t start till 3pm. When we got to the hotel there was a sign asking guests to call a number to check in. I called the number and was told just to come in. I went into the hotel slightly embarrassed. But why leave the sign out when the front desk is open? I received an email offering online check out. However it didn’t actually work this morning. We went down to the front desk to check out and there was a notice saying that we should put our room keycards into the envelope we were given at check in and leave them in box. I still had the envelope but that was because we were only in Munich for one day. Next time I visit Munich I definitely would consider staying here again. As I said the location is great

Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring. In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. A wonderful visit to München during Wiesn(Oktoberfest). The hotel is perfectly located in the old city center. There is easy access to everything, whether walking or taking public transportation. The hotel itself is exceptional with friendly and efficient staff. The food and drinks are outstanding. From breakfast to fine dining. The restaurant, Pfistermühle, is Michelin recognized and delivers marvelously. The traditional Bavarian restaurant is also special with a variety of freshly brewed beers and delectable traditional menu items. I would recommend reservations for both. The beds and pillows make for a very comfortable and restful sleep. The only glitch would be that the lobby bar and room furniture could be more comfortable and updated.

This is a lovely warm hotel. We arrived late due to rail strikes, which made transport to the hotel a pain. However, once we were checked in, we were straight up the the room which was toasty (really toasty!). Breakfast was a continental buffet style with plenty of everything and some of the items changed on a daily basis. The hotel bar was open on Saturday and Sunday, where their barman, Boris was extremely friendly, warm, polite and helpful. He also takes a keen interest in football. I would also like to give Filip and his team at reception a shout out as they were extremely helpful. For those who read the reviews saying they could not speak either English or German, we found this to be simply not true. Their English was fluent as was their German. We had wanted to come back out to Munich specifically to stay here again this year but unfortunately that will now have to wait until next year. If you want the u-bahn, it is a 2 minute walk from the hotel reception (turn left from the door, left again, cross at the lights and you are there).

Easily found after alighting at the Marienplatz station. There are stairs when entering the hotel and from the lift to some rooms so it can be a challenge for those with heavy luggage or have difficulty going up and down stairs. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was great. However, the toilet had some smell like something damp kept within an enclosed space. Location was great as you can easily walk to most attractions.

The best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly its location. The quality and variety of food were quite good, and we enjoyed the delicious spread they offered. However, the hotel has a peculiar policy of reserving a specific breakfast time during check-in. The rooms at Hotel Wallis were decent, but we encountered a significant issue with the noise level in certain rooms. Another notable downside was the absence of water in our room. And just keep in mind that they don’t know english that well

We first arrived in the afternoon on Sept.15th for a two night stay, we stood at the desk for about 5min. The two employees at the desk where talking to one another, we patiently waited for them to finish. So the man looks up and says to my husband ”WHAT DO YOU WANT” in a very harsh tone. From that point it only got worse, our room was like being in a youth hostel, bunk beds with 1 chair, so my husband and I wanted to play cards, so he ask the front desk can we please have a second chair, he is told he needs to return it before 10pm, which was fine. Next night we wanted to play cards after coming back from Oktoberfest, so my husband goes into the little restaurant to get a chair and the women starts screaming A$$hole in German at him, he says to her that he'll bring it back before 10pm, but she kept on screaming. So he left the chair alone. The only good thing about this place was the water pressure.

The hotel has its lights and its shadows. Honestly the best of all is the location/price. Of course, after having been there, I wouldn't pay more either, like the prices I have been seeing in the same hotel for the same room days before arriving. The hotel is renovating some of the rooms, and the noise from the construction was a bit annoying. But since we were hardly in it, we didn't give it any more importance. What I didn't like was the room they gave us, very small. Everything about her was uncomfortable. The shower was narrow, with a curtain that stuck to you and on top of that the water regulators were poorly placed, which further reduced the space and were very old, which you had to be careful not to touch because you could get burned. The beds were very uncomfortable, if you sat on the bed, you could feel the springs. The duvet couldn't be older, it was missing filling everywhere. Plus the pillow had the same problem as the duvet. And another inconvenience, at the beginning of winter, the bathroom radiator did not work. It would have been good for us. I have paid for hotels with a very good location and a similar price with (at least) comfortable beds. The hotel staff is very nice and charming, and they have luggage storage, and they let us check in early because they already had the room ready, which is also a plus. Don't expect luxuries, it looks more like a pension (it is completely in need of renovation). Since it is not available from many services either. Despite the inconveniences, I would return to the same hotel, since the location was perfect and I don't need much when I travel.

It was absolutely pleasant short stay in February 2023. We made booking by mailing the hotel directly. The reservation person , Ravi, was very helpful during the reservation communication. The hotel has a very convenient location - few steps from Central station.-so one can move around the city with no issues The check in was very smooth, Daniel, receptionist, was very welcoming and efficient at the same time.Thank you, Daniel. The room was of right size, clean and cosy, bathroom was tiny but shiny clean with all amenities one might need during the short stay. WIFI is good, stable signal. Highlight of the stay - breakfast: so delicious options to choose from! Dear restaurant team, thank you very much for fabulous breakfasts! Good value for money paid. Definitely recommend for short stay.

The location is good -- quite yet close to main attractions. there are no restaurants nearby and it feels a bit ”suburby” at night. you have a feeling that you are not in a major city. rooms are clean and spacious; bathroom is fine and modern. the biggest disappointment is WiFi - basically, it is unreliable. the hotel clearly does not want to invest in a high speed WiFi. what it has reminds the 1990s - you do not have to dial up, but the speed is the same. unworkable. the second biggest disappointment is AC. rooms get hot very quickly in the summer. there is no way to cool them down. air-conditioning is like WiFi - present but dysfunctional. maybe this is a hotel for winter stays? So, if you do not plan to work or stay that much in the room, this is not a bad deal. otherwise - look for something else. the place needs to be re-thought and re-made. i notice that the same complaints have been made for several years, which it means the owners do not really care. so, maybe, it is the time to go elsewhere or insist on a deep discount!

Breakfast was excellent. You can find Mediterranean breakfast; olive, tomatoes, lettuce, fried eggs. There are many more alternatives. The hotel is located 2 minutes from U-Bahn station Theresienwiese, very close to Oktoberfest venue, and 20 minutes easily on foot to Marienplatz. For the price we paid you will not find a better one in the central area of Munich. The room was ready before noon when we arrived. While reading other guests' comments, I wonder if we stayed at the same hotel? Some of the guests complained that they were freezing, sleeping with their coats over blankets – however it was quite the opposite! Because of these comments I took my warmest pyjamas with me that I did not wear at all, as it was very warm in the room (we stayed 5 nights in December). The radiators can be adjusted manually as you please, from cold to super warm! Some other said they had only one towel per person, we had two and one for the floor, and they were changed whenever we threw them on the shower floor. Room was cleaned daily, and it was quite large, with nice seating area, perfectly quiet (our room was facing the yard, 3rd floor), with comfy beds, super Wi-Fi (very strong signal). It is not luxurious, but nothing was lacking in the room (even the hairdryer was there, obviously other complaining guests could not find it, as it was in the desk drawer). Breakfast was standard and decent, the only minus for us was the lack of scrambled eggs. Staff was very nice and helpful and I would recommend this place without hesitation!

When we checked in, we were told that the rooms were full due to the peak season. Our three rooms could not be adjacent to each other, but only on the upper and lower floors. I had no choice but to accept it because I was a little tired with my baby. But after moving all the luggage into the room, I found that it was not the room type I booked at all, and it was in the annex building! I immediately went back to the front desk to ask, and was told that other room types were indeed arranged because the room was fully booked? ! It was so funny. This was the first time I encountered someone who downgraded the room type without authorization, and we stayed in three rooms for 5 consecutive nights, and the room fee was paid in advance. The white guy at the front desk was very good and kept apologizing and explaining, but this wave of operations was a bit excessive, so I insisted on changing rooms. Later, he asked the manager and arranged the original room for us, and it was on the same floor. Putting aside the unpleasantness of the stay, I was quite satisfied with other services of Westin. It is said that there is a subway at the entrance of the hotel, but I have not experienced it. It usually costs 20-30 euros to take a taxi to the scenic spot. The German restaurant downstairs tastes good, and it can be used as a canteen if you are too lazy to go out. In general, the price-performance ratio is OK

I'm really conflicted about this hotel, in some ways it's a great hotel and in others not so much. I'll start with check in, I booked a ”Queen bed” which to me means bigger than double especially as there is an option for just a double. so had to pay to upgrade to a ”executive room” which had the bigger bed, so another €60 on to our bill, but was discounted from €90. room was big, bed was very big and very comfortable. had to ask for a kettle (had a coffee machine but no kettle) had a minibar so a fridge which the first room didn't have even tho website says a minibar. all rooms have balconies but no furniture out there so I had to ask for chairs, also dont think the balconies have been cleaned in a while, i left foot prints in the dust. bathroom was old and needs refurbishment, shower pressure is rubbish, water drains very slowly and bath has all gone rusty. our first room was right next to the second room and overlooked some car park but then right next to it is a factory and then behind that some excavation work is taking place, the 1st night all was quiet as it was Easter but the second night from 3.30am lorries with there reversing noises where going on and that night the factory noise went on till almost 10pm. this is not the hotels fault- but if booking a room I would ask for a different location for room. breakfast was beautiful, everything u would want, all presented lovely and u could have omlette made to order. we used the resturant the 1st night, the food was very nice but very expensive- but we later found out this is how Germany is. Husband used the gym- mini gym as they call it and it is mini but it kept him happy for an hour. pool is a added bonus but pictures make it look bigger than it is, Sadly it was far too cold for me to get in and the steam/sauna are only turned on at certain times and we missed the time slot but they both looked good sizes. all the staff we came across, from reception, to restaurant and breakfast staff and especially the cleaners were lovely, very polite and helpful if u have any questions or requests. we would stay here again if it was the original price for the larger bed and if we had a different room location.

The apartment had a separate bedroom, living room with desk and futon couch and chairs, plus a separate cooking nook. There was also one and and extra half bath which was helpful. The room was quiet. A Rewe grocery store was right next door which was very convenient. The Baldeplatz bus stop is just a couple of minutes walk away. The 58 bus will take you to the Munich Hauptbahnhof in about 15 minutes and the 68 goes the opposite way and will take you to the Munich Ost (East) Bahnhof. The 132 bus runs to Marienplatz. You can also take the 58 to Goeteplatz or walk there in about 10 minutes for the U3 and U6. The Isar river is just across the street with nice walking paths. The room was up to date with good carpet and nice wall coverings, nice tile in the baths and has a hair dryer. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we received cleaning service once a week. There are 3 washing machines and 2 dryers in the basement that operate through the WeWash app. It is convenient once you figure out the app, but is pricey, just under 5 Euros per wash load and 4.10 to dry a load, however you do not have to have soap as that is included with the machine. Also, we sometimes had to wait for open machines. We had a few small issues which I will detail, so give a 4 rather than a 5 rating. The issues were: 1) The AC did not work all that well on hot days, however, we were also provided two room fans, plus the windows will open either with the top open or full open (double hinged if you know how to do it), which let in a nice breeze; 2) While the kitchen had a fridge, a built-in two burner hotplate (which requires you to turn on the timer to use), microwave, coffee and hot water pots, there was no oven or toaster; 3) The dish and utensil service was meager. Although the apartment is rated for 3 people (because of the futon), we had two forks, two knives, two small spoons and two larger spoons. The dishes were also on the short side with two large, two small plates, two soup bowls and two cereal bowls, two ceramic cups and two small and two large glasses. There was a paring knife with a bent blade and a serrated knife for cutting. It was difficult to prepare meals without some extra forks, knives and spoons, plates etc. We had to wash between preparation and eating and also had to buy the dish soap and dishwashing detergent (at Rewe). It would be nice to have a few extra utensils, plates and bowls. We found ourselves using the dishwasher much more than normal (and using much more water), because of the inadequate number of utensils and bowls. The frying pan was also not non-stick. There were also two pots

The staff was very friendly. The biergarten was lovely and open until ten. You could bring your own alcohol or get drinks from the bar. The room was small (slept 3), but served our purpose. AC was very weak.... By American standards, so we were uncomfortable trying to sleep while sweating. The beds were pretty comfy. Not a great location for going into Munich. 15 minutes walk to train station. But parking on street was available for free.

Very comfortable bed, bedding and great pillows which were perfect after a long day of sightseeing. The AC was perfect and the amenities were adequate (a better selection of coffee/tea in room would be great) Bathroom was a little small (but expected). A larger rack to put things in the shower would be much appreciated. Housekeeping were fantastic The hotel reception had also kept a letter of mine (containing concert tickets) safely despite it arriving a full week before my check in. Thank you to the front desk team A small qualm was that the hotel was undergoing external refurbishment, and it would have been nice if customers were informed of this while booking. Had I known, I would not have opted for the courtyard view as it was blocked off by scaffolding

Perfect for one night on trip to italy, We had a double/connected family room, it was very good. Personally missed the airconditioning but that was no surprise as is was not on the list for the room. Restaurant was good for diner and breakfest, food and drinks are good. Charging electric car is no problem, space for 4 cars next to main entrance.

The breakfast area is small, but very elegant, close to the street on the first floor. It costs about 18 yuan per person. If you need to buy, it is more cost-effective to buy when you book the room. There is also a cafe next to the hotel, and the price is similar. The theme of the hotel is a picture of beautiful women in classical oil paintings. Each door is a picture of beautiful women in famous paintings. The specific allusion comes from a palace in Munich (I forgot the name, it is a scenic spot, you can visit), there are parking spaces on the roadside, and the hotel The location is very good, just near the Olympic Park, and it's also very close to walk.

The hotel is located just a short distance from the city centre and is comfortable to reach. You can be positioned along the main road behind the hotel without paying or leave the car in the car park. The rooms are new, clean, wide. We had no breakfast, they offered it when we arrived but at a cost per person of €18, and we preferred to give up (i.e. I guess it was wide and quality).
