Shangri-La Hotels with Balcony

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, and I can't recommend it enough! The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special by helping to pre-decorate our room in advance—it was such a thoughtful touch that made our celebration even more memorable. Since it was our first time visiting Shangri-La, the hotel staff proactively checked in with us and provided useful advice, including information about high-altitude sickness and recommendations for interesting places to visit. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and well-prepared for our trip. Additionally, we were allowed to check in early, which was a huge convenience after our journey. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, with cozy floor heating that kept us warm despite the chilly weather. The room was very comfortable, with a strong internet connection, making our stay both relaxing and convenient. To top it all off, we even received a free gift upon checkout, which was a lovely surprise! Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations with its outstanding service and attention to detail. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shangri-La!

The hotel is situated close to the North Gate of Dukezong ancient town. There is a service which gets your baggage to and fro the hotel. It’s an amazing hotel with a superb interior and incredibly hospitable staff. The lady at the reception was so nice that she helped us walk through the slippery staircases when we checked out. I loved everything about the hotel - also the great view of the city and modern sanitation facilities. It was great value for money too. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay at Shangri-La Anxu Garden Holiday Home (Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City Branch). Not directly located within the ancient city so you won't have to worry about the noise especially during high season. Ancient city is only a short walk of less than 10min. Staff are super welcoming and helpful. We truly truly enjoyed our stay here. The view, the animals, the staff, everything was great. We had to get used to the climate but after 1 night, everything is well! We're Muslims and the hotel prepared a vegetarian breakfast for us. The hotel also prepared us tea time, evening special drink sent to our rooms. It was really enjoyable. They were not stingy as well. Sent us to the nearest farm for horseriding experience, gave us goody bag when we checked out. We even had a free photoshoot, complete with traditional costumes! The hotel is about 20mins away from dukezong town, I think it's ok! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The location is super convenient cuz it is only a few walk to the Moonlight Square - the heart of Dukezong ancient town. The family host is very very friendly and helpful. One day, when we came home around 7pm after a road trip around Napahai Lake, the auntie lady - mother of the owner ( a young male) invited us to have dinner with them and we did have a very warm hearted noodles dinner with them. In the next morning, we had to leave early for the flight back to Kunming, the uncle - father of the owner woke up early to drive us and luggage to the square - where we can take the taxi. He also prepared some boiled eggs for our breakfast. So grateful. The facility of the room is extraordinary modern. Though the temperature during our stay was -10 lowest, the room has heating, floor heating and shower heating. Just relax and enjoy the warmth. The tea set in the living room was amazing too. 100/100 points

We stayed for 4 nights and it was a very enjoyable experience. We were upgraded to a starry night room and it was interesting to be able to view the night sky in the room. There was night time drinks (ginger tea or warm milk) served nightly. During the day, they also offered coffee or fruits if we passed the reception area. Room was cleaned well daily. It felt clean enough to walk about the room barefoot. We booked this hotel as we were concerned about developing altitude sickness and noted that the hotel had oxygen supply facilities. Thankfully, we did not require it. We did not notice during booking that the room did not have AC and was shocked when the staff offered to bring us a standing fan as it was a hot day, after showing us our room. Luckily, it was much cooler in the night, and we could rest well by keeping the air ventilators ( so that the cool air from outside could be brought into the room) on throughout the night. What we appreciate was that the owner was a no nonsense kind of person and was not salesy. He did not try to sell any tours nor drivers to us even when we enquired. He simply mentioned the cost and left it for us to decide. Location was good. Hotel was accessible by car and just 5 steps from the old town. Lots of food options, convenience stalls and other amenities available. We will definitely stay back at this hotel or the owner’s other hotel at our next visit.

You must stay at this B&B when traveling to Shangri-La. The experience is great. It's very close to the ancient city. It's about 3,400 meters away. Don't stay in the ancient city when traveling. It's messy and the roads are very difficult. It's convenient to go anywhere outside the ancient city. The boss lady is also super nice and very considerate. The hotel has breakfast, which is very convenient for people going out. Where do you want to go here? The boss lady will give you some ideas. When we left, the landlady had already come to our hometown and gave her a unicorn brooch. She hoped that we would all take our dreams as horses and have a bright future, and good luck in the new year.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming accommodation. The place is very near to the main road where the taxi can drop you off right at the doorstep. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Zhang Hui 张慧 and her husband who made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing helpful tips about the area and checking in to see if we needed anything. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort. The rooms were  exceptionally cozy, spacious and  warm. We really appreciate the heated floor! Overall, our experience was nothing short of wonderful. This place truly has it all: a clean and comfortable room with skylight, a stunning courtyard and amazing hosts who really care about their guests. Can't wait to return for another stay!

The best B&B I've ever stayed in! First of all, the boss is like a big brother, very enthusiastic and considerate. He called me several times in advance when we were still in Dali, and kept confirming the time to arrive at Shangri-La High-speed Railway Station with us. There is a pick-up service as soon as we exit the station. The service is really perfect! The location is very good, right inside Dukezong and a few minutes walk to the street. You can also see the panoramic view of the ancient city from the room. The boss upgraded our room for free and took us to choose the room type we wanted to stay in. I have never had such an experience when staying in a B&B before! The environment is impeccable, with a modern design feel. It feels like staying in the boss's own villa. The furniture, table lamps, and records hanging on the wall all reflect the boss's taste. The sanitation is absolutely clean, and I, who have a slight obsession with cleanliness, can stay here without worry. Whole house intelligent control. The floor heating and oxygen supply equipment are very new. When I had altitude sickness in the middle of the night, turning on the oxygen supply really helped relieve the pain! Overall, it was a very good accommodation experience! Highly recommended!

Excellent stay. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Love that it provided oxygen, humidifier as well as heated floor. The shower area was also heated. Location is near to ancient city. The service of the innkeeper & his wife were commendable. Plus point taxi/DD can stop in front of hotel.
