I was a very first guest of Cicada Ubud, an Autograph Collection by Marriott Bali Ubud and I came here for the staycation on August 22, 2024. First, from the arrival side review, the review result was excellent and beyond expectation, i was warm welcomed and greet by the General Manager Ibu Reka from the main door of the lobby hotel, this was making me so special, valued and having so memorable arrival experience with Autograph Brand, especially with Cicada Ubud. Also a huge thanks to Ophan, Kartika, and Ina from the front office and guest service, the check in process was so excellent and flawless. I also enjoyed my welcome drink made from a refreshing butterfly pea , its very refreshing, warm and pampering welcome experience of Cicada Ubud. This is a hidden gem for a serene hideaway for a couple traveller. Truly a huge and tremendous guest recognition also coming from Gus Ari, Kris, Ratna, Agus Wira, Angga Permana, Chacha, Candri, Anie, Dewi, Ace, Yumi, Satra Yana and all front office team during the arrival. Then, from the bed room and bathroom side review, the review was also excellent. I love the idea of the bed room and bath room which made us unite with the serene of nature. A tremendous and huge thanks also for our welcome amenity in our room villa, i love the magnificent and wide panoramic view in our room villa. The bathroom and bed room cleanliness also exceed expectation, as the bed was so fresh and clean and the bathroom also clean and spacious. In terms of space, the bedroom villa was so spacious and so fresh, i can easily enjoy the fresh and clean air of Ubud and still the bed room was so clean and fresh, thanks to exceeded services from the Housekeeping team and Wayan Candriani as well. Definitely an intimate serene hideaway retreat for a couple traveller. Also from the food and beverage side review, the review was also excellent. I love my time when having a meal and peaceful retreat at Verdant Restaurant and Tangelo Restaurant. A huge and tremendous thanks to Suta, Novy, Dony and Tria , as she serve me as a family, as a very closed family, and this is an asset for the hotel, they serve from the heart, and they serve me like their family. From the food quality and food taste side review, the review result was also excellent, Autograph Hotel is a premium brand, but Cicada, Autograph Collection Ubud put a great value of the food taste and quality as same equal with a luxury brand level, a tremendous and huge special thanks to Chef Buda, Dewa Putu, Elma and Putu Rama the Bartender at Tangelo Restaurant who always bring the quality and food level of Cicada Autograph Collection Ubud in to Luxury Brand level, awesome and always go exceed my expectation. We do also love the ambience of our dinner time in Tangelo Restaurant especially a special dinner with balinese dance entertainment, absolutely will do coming back again even only stoping by for a memorable diner experience in Sebatu Tegal Alang area. The direction and road leading to the resort can be tasting especially at night. Narrow road and no streetlamp. It's a sanctuary by itself and it's excellent just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Far from any amenities and it's inconvenient to move around. Private chartered car is a must; no Grab no Gojek; unless you take local taxi booked via hotel. Moving from room to lobby and dining areas requires much walking up the slope/stairs (cos the hotel is like perched on hil). You can ask for a buggy service (they have 2) and are subject to waiting time if many requests. Room was splendid and view was canopy. WiFi was strong. Room came with complimentary packs of chips and 3 cans of soft drinks. Toilet has no door and showering could be cold cos of air-conditioning. Breakfast was simple. Buffet spread of basic menu like drinks and pastries. One could order from menu. I find this was good cos less wastage Overall, resort personnel were polite and attentive!

It’s not a bad hotel. To summarize I’ll write pros and cons- Pros- service, quiet area, amazing staff, very helpful. Specially Dewi, Arira or similar best staff ever. This hotel people only come for the service but everything else is just below average. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. But this experience made me do so. Cons- Wi-Fi doesn’t work! Even after asking the IT guy who said he’ll do something but actually didn’t do anything. As it had speed or 3mbps and kept on dropping. - Buffet breakfast - very average, the staff tries hard to please you. But the food is very very average. I mean not even 1 proper bakery items. Balinese coffee just doesn’t cut it. I’ll give it a rating 3/10. - Rooms are basic, pretty old, beds make squeaking noise, suites have nice view but everything looks old. - There is no afternoon tea although there is a sign in the lobby that states there is. - shuttle only runs twice a day 11am and 4pm. This hotel is about 8kms away from Ubud main shops. And the shops around the hotels aren’t many. - Spa at hotel - OMG don’t even try it! I had booked and got this oldish lady “Ayu”. Who basically was just touching my body and not even putting any effort. I literally had to leave the massage after telling her about 10 times to put more pressure. And then she tried to charge me for the whole hour which I disputed and then she said ok I’ll charge you for 30mins. I asked her if she has another staff which I did see when I started the massage. And she says no we don’t have anyone. Worst massage ever!!! - You must rent a bike to enjoy if you do decide to stay in this hotel. - Food and beverages are expensive compared to shops around the place but the service is amazing. For example an Ice coffee is $5.50AUD which is what I get in Australia. And veggie Pizza is around $10. Bring your wall plug converter if you are staying at this place. Villas were amazing as due to great staff I got to see inside them. Suites- are just standard bedrooms with balconies. Rooms have jet pumps to wash ur bottom, has hair dryers, small empty bar fridge. House keeping staff are amazing. The shuttle to Ubud shops you must book them before hand. There is a river that runs but you won’t be able to see it as the small trees that grew around it has blocked all the view. Pool is small but nice, there are towels and hot shower options. - TV only has channels which aren’t in English and the network is so bad that you can’t even watch it. Very old TV’s in suites. - you can rent small scooters for about 100k IDR from hotel.

It is really not a cover to say that amankila has great stamina. There are views everywhere. The three-story swimming pool and beach area are very beautiful. There are quite few people, and the sense of vacation is full. Various special activities and individually customized dinners are quite surprising. The service is so exaggerated that all the employees know you, you don’t even need to sign a bill for any consumption, the room will be cleaned how many times a day, and there is a car to pick up and drop off to the airport or other hotels for free.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were beautiful with lovely little details. Afternoon tea was a lovely touch. A la carte breakfast was delicious. Staff were so helpful at all times, nothing was too much. Pool facilities lovely. Overall a very relaxing and calming hotel but still in the middle of Ubud. Would definitely stay again!

Money value. Complete amenities. Rooftop pool. Perfect location. Lot of food and shop around. Spacious room for two people. Clean. Staff is professional and quick response. Maybe can improve the breakfast for more various menu. And if you driving car, the parking area is small and the road traffic in front of the hotel is stressful.

Very good hotel. One of the best in Candidasa. Thanks to the staff for their attention. Breakfasts with a view of the sea. In the evening delicious food in the restaurant near the sea. Clean rooms.

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

Stayed at Brits Resort Lovina in preparation for my wedding; having our WO, MUA, and Photographer coming all around our rooms. The space in the room really made us still feel comfortable even having people coming in / out our rooms. Service was great, room was immaculate despite being slightly outdated, public areas including garden, main pool, and pathway to beach were spacious, and breakfast was decent. Highlight would most probably be the Restaurant team who assisted us during breakfast. We were informed that breakfast opened at 07.00 but I needed to be up and got ready early. Therefore, I visited the breakfast restaurant at 06.30 hoping just to get some breads in preparation for my big day. Instead, they opened the buffet early for us and gave us full breakfast service. This is really appreciated. Thank you Brits Resort Lovina team and we are looking forward for our next stay.

THE BEST OF THE BEST. Komaneka is pure paradise. I'm 59yrs who has travelled to 35 countries and covered 20 States in the USA, so I have stayed in a lot of hotels. Komaneka at Keramas Beach was amazing. Their attention to detail was faultless. We stayed for 30 days and the quality of service did not slip once throughout our stay. The Komaneka's philosophy is to welcome you in as if you are family, but this is a big understatement. We were treated like Royalty for the whole stay. Every member of staff knew our names as we met them for the first time. All the staff greeted us when passing anywhere on the grounds, from the maintenance, cleaners to the restaurant teams. They worked constantly cleaning, sweeping and pruning all the lush tropical vegetation that surrounds the complex. The villas are perfectly designed, so nobody overlooks you from any angle or direction, giving complete privacy. They are equipped with big walk in showers and separate free standing baths. Big walk in wardrobe/dressing area and large comfortable beds. We had a view of the sea from our bedroom at the front and a view over the rice fields from our private infinity pool at the back. The onsite restaurant had an extensive breakfast and all day dining menu. We also visited 4 outside restaurants within a short walk along the beach to the east. Komaneka is positioned directly on the beach at Keramas. It has volcanic black sand that sparkles like diamonds in the sun and moon light, its totally magical. Komaneka is 45 minutes taxi drive to town of Ubud to the north and 45 minutes to the city of Denpasar. It was a perfectly secluded retreat for me to escape my busy life in the city of London. The spa treatments were excellent with easily to book availability. The warm swimming pool was an impressive 33 mtrs long. The management have pieced together a wonderful respectful team. I truly believe that most top London hotels should send their staff to Komaneka for training. The best of the best. SUKSMA.
