"I initially thought this was just another Instagrammable hotel. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed upon check-in, as the service didn't quite measure up to what I've experienced at Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The room's location was just average, with many obstructions in front. I checked in on my birthday but wasn't offered a free room upgrade. The hotel wasn't crowded during my two-day stay, and the low guest density was quite comfortable. However, room maintenance was mediocre; there was a damp smell when I entered, frankly, it felt quite old. Also, the bathtub water didn't get hot enough for a proper soak. What truly deserves high praise is the unlimited complimentary laundry service, and the 24-hour in-room dining, available once a day, which was incredibly convenient – you just scan a QR code to order. Each person gets 2 drinks and 3 food items daily. The portions were ample, and the taste wasn't as bad as some people claim (for a Cantonese palate, it certainly wasn't unappetizing). The design and maintenance of the public pool were also excellent. I asked the manager, and he said the cliff elevator will be open in June, so future guests are in luck! Currently, they offer transportation to two beaches as an alternative, but I'd advise against it! It was super crowded, and the service was terrible – this was the only part of the trip that felt like a letdown. We wasted over an hour on two separate occasions and waited for half an hour standing at that Sunday Beach. In short, staying at the hotel is definitely better than venturing out. And don't worry about food; if you don't feel like eating at the restaurant, you can order takeout. Just inform your butler, and they'll deliver it from the hotel lobby to your door. The most important thing: tip generously (100k every time) and write down your wishes (even with limited English), and they'll usually be fulfilled. For example, asking for bags, toiletries, small gifts, etc. I also received a birthday amenity, a cake, and an aromatherapy diffuser. All in all, I was genuinely surprised and am already looking forward to my next stay!"

Hotel near Ubud,Bali
No. 10 of Luxury Hotels in Indonesia
Inspired by a traditional village Amandari is framed by jungle and rice terraces in Balis cultural heartland. Alang-alang-thatched houses some with pools - all with private tropical gardens - cosset guests under bamboo ceilings their suites elegantly decorated with teak and coconut-wood. The grounds are both sacred and essential to local families; children attend dance classes here and religious processions pass through regularly leading down the steps that spill below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger - a motif repeated throughout the property. Follow the road out of the village to hike or bike the emerald-green landscape or head further afield for artisan villages - hidden temples and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud. Overlooking a tranquil lily pond the Spas offerings range from massages and manicures to traditional Balinese treatments. Both Indonesian and Western dishes are specialities at the open-air Restaurant or dine intimately in the rainforest with a private chef. Set amid aromatic frangipani trees and the enveloping warmth of a Balinese village Amandari is perfectly suited to special occasions of all kinds.

"Stepping into a place that has gracefully carried its spirit for nearly 38 years into today was truly an unforgettable experience. Amandari is not just a resort; it is a timeless masterpiece, perfectly harmonized with nature and set in a setting that feels nothing short of miraculous. The villas are breathtaking—every detail thoughtfully designed, offering a sense of privacy, serenity, and understated luxury. From sunrise to sunset, each moment feels like a carefully painted scene, where nature and architecture exist in perfect balance. What truly elevates this experience, however, is your exceptional team. The genuine warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism of every member create an atmosphere that feels both refined and deeply personal. The culinary experience is equally remarkable—each dish reflecting a perfect blend of local character and world-class sophistication. In every sense, this was not just a stay, but a journey—one that touches the soul and leaves a lasting impression. Our hearts are with you. Thank you for this extraordinary experience."

Set in the lush wilderness of Buahan village in northern Ubud, one of Bali's most untapped enclaves, the adults-only Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape offers unique discovery experiences with a "no walls, no doors" concept in communion with nature. Each of the 16 bales (villas) features a 180-degree view of the Balinese jungle and majestic mountain peaks, a private pool and naturally sourced materials.

"Book the best valley-view room type! The basic rooms are at the bottom of the valley with average views, and they tend to be damp with cold pool water. The upgraded rooms are halfway up the mountain, offering excellent views, fewer insects, no dampness, and a constant 40-degree (Celsius) heated pool. Dinner has a lot of vegetarian options. The spa has a great ambiance and excellent service. The hotel staff are wonderful, and you can even spot many small squirrels. It's a perfect secluded getaway, a truly unique experience worldwide. Highly recommended! (Be cautious if you're particularly afraid of insects.)"

Hotel near Ubud,Bali
No. 4 of Luxury Hotels in Bali
A Sanctuary to Relax One's Mind, Body, and Soul Located in Bali's cultural and spiritual heart of Ubud where the lush jungle meets the Ayung River, Mandapa is an exclusive journey inside an indigenous Balinese village, providing a sensory journey to wellness and nature. Mandapa offers 35 suites, 25 private pool villas, four unique dining concepts, including exclusive dining beyond experiences within the Reserve, and a restorative Spa and fitness center. Designed as a sanctuary to relax one's mind, body, and soul, Mandapa offers individually tailored spiritual, well-being, and health programs as well as activities to suit travelers of all ages, such as Mandapa Camp, along with the personalized attention of a dedicated Patih or butler. Focusing on three core pillars—wellness, gastronomy, and sustainability—Mandapa creates a holistic and immersive experience for guests seeking renewal, culinary discovery, and a connection to the local environment.

"Mandapa is nestled in the Ubud forest, surrounded by rainforest and built into the mountainside. It's a secluded sanctuary, perfect for cleansing the soul and allowing me to slowly and peacefully savor every day of my vacation. I was particularly impressed with their butler service. During my three-day, two-night stay, everything was meticulously planned for me, from the transfer service to and from the hotel in Jimbaran Bay, to my river adventure, spa appointments, scheduled photography session, and dinner reservations. My butler orchestrated everything, acting like a personal secretary. Furthermore, most of the hotel's restaurants are outdoors, allowing guests to dine amidst the forest. Surprisingly, the environmental hygiene and insect control were excellent, which I truly appreciated. The villa's cleanliness was also ideal; I didn't spot a single spiderweb, ant, small spider, or any other insect or dust mite within the 430-square-meter villa. The hygiene was superb. The overall ambiance of the hotel felt incredibly serene and relaxing, making it perfectly suited for couples to enjoy a slow-paced, leisurely trip. Regarding the food, I tried breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner at three of their restaurants. The dining atmosphere and food quality were consistently excellent. The spa lived up to the standards of a 6-star hotel! Given its Michelin 3-star status, the hotel truly meets that benchmark. One minor thing to note is that during dinner at one of their Indonesian restaurants, there's a traditional Indonesian dance performance where performers wear a deity mask. This might make some guests, especially those with young children, feel uncomfortable or even frightened. This is something to be aware of."

"This hotel is close to the black beach, the scenery is very beautiful, and there is a rice field view on the other side of the hotel, which is refreshing. The hotel's service staff is very warm, there is Chinese customer service, we have to participate in the hotel's paid activities, Chinese customer service also gave very effective and pertinent suggestions, recommend activities suitable for this season, it turns out that the waterfall hiking activities are very good, thank you very much. The hotel's restaurant has a service staff named Eri, the service is very thoughtful, let us feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of the locals in a foreign country. The hotel's pick-up and drop-off service is very good, and the drop-off service is full of details. But it is a pity that the cashier at the front desk of the hotel SPA is not very friendly to the Chinese. The whole poker face let me sign. The Chinese name I signed asked to sign the English name. This required me to cooperate. I didn’t expect her to speak Indonesian. Bad, just recorded by my translation software, This is intolerable! I read Xiaohongshu before and said that Indonesian hotels have discrimination. I didn't expect to be met by myself... a bit speechless. Reflecting the situation with the hotel and Trip.com , I still pay attention to the solution, but in fact, I am a little sad. I think of the warm and thoughtful service of other staff. I don’t want to deny a hotel because of one person, but I hope that this time is not pleasant. The hotel attracts attention. Don't let Chinese like me encounter such situations, affecting the mood of vacation. In addition, the hotel's beach is not a private beach, there is a stray dog, often looking for food on the beach, if you see this comment, you go to this hotel, remember to give it some food. This little yellow 🐶 is very friendly and a bit sticky. Its appearance also brings a lot of joy and good memories to my holiday. Thank you for your kindness. ~❤️ Trip.com platform, in the process of handling problems, very professional and patient, emotional value is full, like."

Hotel near Nusa Dua,Bali

Peaceful retreats located on Balis southernmost peninsula the Aman Villas at Nusa Dua are set within palm-fringed grounds and gardens with swimming pools flanked by aromatic frangipani trees. Modelled on traditional Balinese designs using local wood and stone the architecture is offset by the works of local artists. While the vibrant districts of of Sanur - Jimbaran - Kuta - Legian and Seminyak are all within easy reach. The Aman Villas at Nusa Dua are also the perfect starting point for a journey through Indonesia with Aman- Amandari - Amankila - Amanwana and Amanjiwo are all within easy reach. Massages scrubs and beauty treatments informed by Balinese traditions are available in guests suites. Cuisine focuses on local produce and seafood from nearby Jimbaran Market. Imbued with a sense of space and serenity each occasion is joyfully and gracefully choreographed.

"1. Lot: There is a 3-5 minute distance from the beach. The hotel can send a car to the hotel's exclusive beach club at any time. Very convenient, when I arrived at the club, some staff took ice water and ice towels to the tanning pavilion where the beach towels were laid, as well as mosquito repellent and sunscreen. The hotel is in the mountains, the scenery is very good, in the lobby and restaurant can view the scenery under the mountain. 2, design: Australian designers 25 years ago, today's works are still so elegant, temperament! 3, facilities: the pool is large, there is an all-day restaurant, a good library. I can’t see it completely 25 years ago, and it’s managed quite well! 4, service: Amman, these two words explain everything, no more multilingual! 5, value-added: I don't know the relationship between spring break, one day free charter service, and free shuttle service, solve many problems, very good value-added service experience! After staying for 3 days and 2 nights, it is regrettable that the driver who sent the plane on the last day learned that the landlord will be closed at the end of February 2018 because the landlord will not renew his contract. Very sad! But also very fortunate, AMANNUSA was chosen in the last hotel in Bali. Forever Amman! I hope that 150 employees in the hotel will be well!"

"One of Bali's iconic hotels, always bustling with people. The lobby-less design feels more personal. The first round of drinks in the suite is complimentary, and you can practically spend the entire morning lounging and eating at the breakfast chairs. My days here were simply filled with eating and drinking. The beach bar at night is one of the few on the island that allows children, and it's so relaxing to take a dip, order a drink, and watch the sunset from the pool."

Seven years ago, I had the pleasure of staying at the St. Regis Bali, and I was absolutely blown away by their breakfast. Now that my children are older, I brought them back for a return visit, and I'm thrilled to say the breakfast is still as abundant and exquisite as ever. Every dish is beautifully plated. We stayed for seven days, and every single day we discovered something new; the daily special hidden menu was constantly innovative. I honestly worried we'd be spoiled! The hotel butler service is incredibly thoughtful. Even though we didn't plan anything, our butler, Adi, provided excellent sightseeing recommendations tailored to our interests. What truly stood out was the Food and Beverage Director, who personally oversaw everything each day, curating dishes perfectly suited for guests. Every dish he created was a feast for the eyes and the palate, with rich flavors and meticulously chosen ingredients. Both of my children absolutely adored him. The hotel suites are spacious, both the interior and the balcony. They were cleaned twice a day, morning and evening, and were impeccably spotless. We were also delightfully surprised each day to find complimentary snacks and drinks thoughtfully left in our room upon our return to the hotel! All the restaurants within the St. Regis consistently offer hygienic and delicious food. We tried almost all of them. Beyond the unparalleled, luxurious breakfast at Boneka, which everyone raves about, there's also Kayuputi, an award-winning fine dining restaurant with breathtaking ocean views. From the decor to the cuisine to the service, it's absolutely flawless! Thank you, St. Regis, for an absolutely perfect holiday. See you next time!

This was the most perfect hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were all friendly. I had dinner at the aperitif, a French course meal. It was called ”Mid Journey,” and it was a truly enjoyable meal, as if I was on a real trip. On my last day, I went to Ubud Monkey Forest, but it was so hot. I returned to the hotel, grabbed my luggage, took a shower, and headed to the airport. I was so grateful for the refreshing return. The private pools in each room were so nice that I didn't even need to use the public pool. I'll definitely be back next time!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Regent Bali Canggu. We came here to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be such a special and memorable trip. The room was beautiful and super comfortable. you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The service throughout the stay was excellent, everyone was warm, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. We also had dinner at CURE and it was honestly one of the highlights. amazing food and a great experience overall. The Beach House was another favorite spot, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the vibe. Overall, everything just felt easy and enjoyable. Would definitely come back again next time we’re in

Having visited Bali four times, this cliffside hotel offered the best experience, on par with Amankila, where I stayed a few months ago. With only eight villas in total, we booked a two-bedroom ocean view villa. It had a huge living room and even a game room (though we only played a racing game for a bit, unfortunately). The hotel's environment is beyond words; the ocean view is almost identical to the Alila I stayed at previously. My only regret was being overconfident based on past experience. Previous Chinese New Year trips to Bali were always sunny, but this year, Chinese New Year was late, and by the time we arrived, it was already the rainy season. We stayed for four nights and only got half a day of sunshine to explore the cliffside road; the rest of the time was gloomy and rainy. Important advice repeated three times: NEVER go to Bali during the rainy season, NEVER go to Bali during the rainy season, NEVER go to Bali during the rainy season, or you'll question all your life choices. Special shout-out: The hotel's in-room dining is incredible! The Tomahawk steak was the best I've ever had, far superior to even the most expensive French restaurants in Beijing. The portion was very generous, and the grilled lobster was also excellent; I had it three times. The value for money is exceptional, not expensive at all compared to Icon Bali mall. The only minor drawback was the lack of a Chinese-speaking butler. We've stayed at nearly twenty hotels in Bali, including Four Seasons, Amankila, Soori, and Banyan Tree, and this cliffside hotel would still be our top choice for a return visit.

Stepping across the suspended boardwalk, I entered the mystical realm of the Ubud rainforest. ✨ The rainforest villa, nestled amidst lush valleys, exuded a sense of Zen with its teak furniture and handmade textiles, while the private pool reflected the layered greenery. Waking up to bird song in the morning and falling asleep to the gentle murmur of the Ayung River at night, this tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle is truly a balm for the soul. The riverside restaurant was an even bigger surprise. Facing the river valley beneath swaying palm trees, the slow-roasted Balinese duck with satay sauce was incredibly aromatic, and the French gratin incorporated local spices, offering a double feast for both taste buds and eyes. As the evening breeze swept through, listening to the symphony of flowing water and chirping insects, this is truly the relaxation a vacation should embody~

Review for The Legian Bali, Seminyak– Exceptional Service Beyond Expectations! I cannot say enough about the incredible service at The Legian in Bali. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful surroundings, luxurious accommodations, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What truly set them apart, however, was their unparalleled attention to detail and genuine care for their guests. During our stay, my daughter lost a sentimental earring, and despite searching, we couldn’t find it. We mentioned it in passing to the staff, not expecting much, but to our absolute surprise, two days after we checked out, I received an email from the resort—with an image of the earring they had found! Their dedication to customer service, even after we had left, speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful and proactive team, and this experience alone guarantees that we will be returning to The Legian on our next trip to Bali. If you’re looking for a resort that truly cares about its guests and goes the extra mile, look no further. A huge thank you to the amazing staff—your kindness and attention to detail made all the difference! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was my birthday month, so I booked a pool villa for one night. I communicated via WhatsApp in advance to reserve a seaside table at Segaran for dinner, drinks at Akasa, and a Rindik session at 5 PM. I was told the Rindik class was fully booked, but the hotel was incredibly thoughtful and arranged a private Rindik session for me at 1 PM. Check-in time was supposed to be 3 PM, but because they arranged a class for me and it was my birthday, they gave me the room at 12:30 PM. The room design was maxed out! The pool was quite large, 10x5 meters. There was a handwritten card, and after turndown service, they brought a cake, replenished coffee and tea bags, and the team even did mosquito repellent treatment during turndown. The pool bar is beautiful, right below Dream Beach, full of tanned, muscular men and women surfing [full moon R]. The staff offered various complimentary popsicles and small drinks, and placed insulated bags with ice water and cold towels at the base of the beach chairs. There were also hotel lounge chairs and staff on the cliff above Dream Beach. Segaran is the breakfast and main restaurant. This time, I got the best table. The menu mainly features Indonesian and Mediterranean dishes. The sunset was incredibly beautiful, and after dinner, the staff even sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and presented a cake for me to make a wish. Akasa is located at a high point in Jumeirah, a proper cliff bar. From below, it looks like the Temple of Athena. The first drink on the menu is 'The First King,' their signature. The view from Akasa is spectacular; you can see the waves crashing against the cliffs, the entire Jumeirah area, and Jimbaran in the distance. Oh, and breakfast was delicious too! 😋 It's à la carte plus a fruit and pastry buffet. There are three sets: Japanese, Balinese, and Middle Eastern. They have four types of honey, four types of eggs Benedict, and all sorts of sugars.... Besides, both check-in and check-out were incredibly smooth. I processed everything from a booth overlooking the ocean – it was fantastic! A perfect blend of Middle Eastern luxury and Balinese style, very unique with top-notch service. The public areas are excellent (you can see my previous post). While the food and drinks weren't mind-blowing, they were at least 85% good and not expensive. You could even say it offers good value for money.

Excellent boutique resort located next to a small stream/river deep inside the rain forests of Ubud. The resort staff were simply excellent and made our stay so comfortable that I can't say enough thanks to each of them. My kids simply enjoyed the stay especially the cottage pool. The breakfast in the resort is not a buffet but Al carte and free, which makes it simply amazing. Everything was so organized and clean. Each cottage had its own privacy. Will return for another visit.

A stay defined by quiet elegance and genuine care My stay at Alila Villas Uluwatu was a truly beautiful and memorable experience — but because of the quiet elegance and genuine care that could be felt throughout my time there. What makes Alila special is the invisible, refined service — the kind that does not overwhelm, yet makes you feel deeply seen and cared for. Every interaction felt natural, thoughtful, and sincere. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Maya, whose warm presence and attentive approach made me feel truly welcome. Her professionalism and grace left a lasting impression. A special thank you to Ratih, who kindly introduced me to the villa and took the time to explain everything with such patience and warmth. When she noticed I was not feeling well, her thoughtful gesture of arranging ginger tea with honey and ensuring I had enough water was deeply touching. This level of care goes far beyond expectations. Alila Villas Uluwatu is a place where luxury is expressed through calm, respect, and attentiveness — never intrusive, always refined. I left feeling restored, appreciated, and already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a serene and meaningful experience.

For three adults with three breakfasts, Ctrip's quoted price already included an extra bed. So, upon entering the villa, an extra bed had already been set up in the living room. The private pool in the villa isn't small (pic 3), but there are no lights in the pool, making it unsuitable for swimming at night. The view looking down from the cliff is stunning (pic 2). The elevator down to the bottom of the cliff is fantastic. However, the beach at the bottom isn't great; it's all pebbles (I've been to the paid beach at Uluwatu, and it's also all pebbles). The sand is coarse. The Rock Bar directs villa guests to the topmost circular observation deck (pic 1). However, if you try to book via the Ayana app, you'll find you can't get the good spots. This is because no matter how early you book, the best seats on the circular observation deck are reserved for Europeans. If you're Asian, they won't let you sit in the prime spots. I went very early but was still assigned a seat partially obstructed by a pillar. Europeans who arrived later were directly guided to the best spots. Two Korean couples even got the best seats after arguing. Also, Dava Restaurant (exclusive to villa guests) is located behind the villa lobby, next to the infinity pool. The food is good, and there are live singing performances in the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for villa guests. No reservations are needed; you can just walk in. The buffet in the non-villa area has a decent view, but the food is mediocre, it's crowded, and the restrooms in the restaurant tend to be dirty. If you don't mind, one visit is enough. Another positive point is that the deposit was directly deducted from our expenses (unlike at Bulgari, where they don't deduct the deposit from your bill, and it takes two weeks to get it back).
