My wife booked this hotel for us for our weekend in Beppu. We selected this hotel based on the price, parking, and location. It is within walking distance to the train station and down town area. They have parking here which is a plus. The staff was very friendly, the individual helping us spoke great English which made check in/out easy. They have breakfast here, because of COVID, it was not buffet style, but the trays were nice and the food was great. The rooms were perfect, they were modern, spacious, and had everything we needed, plus the bed was comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay here.

The Beppu Hotel I stayed at for the second time was very close to Kitahama and within 10 minutes of Beppu Station. There are also large supermarkets, bamboo tile hot springs and other facilities nearby. It is a relatively large old-fashioned hot spring hotel. The price is not expensive. The facilities are a bit old, but the service is very good. The front desk and hotel staff will smile and say hello every time. You will be very comfortable during your stay. In addition, if you need to take a bus to Jigoku Onsen or Yufuin, please note that the bus station number on Google Maps may be wrong, so be sure to confirm it at the station before getting on the bus.

This time, six people from our family came to Beppu to travel, we slept in three double rooms, the room is not small, not much worse than other Japanese affordable hotels, even I think the cheapest room type than APA is bigger! Don't expect the toilet to be big in Japan, just one person can squeeze it. This hotel has everything to offer, everything to pay for, so don't worry, grandparents at the problem counter will help you too! Some people commented on the old hotel, in fact I think only the elevator feels a bit slow, the room is really new, and there is no spider or dirty place during the stay. Finally, I really recommend that if you have come to Beppu, you can consider living in this room. If you want to live in a very advanced hotel, it is different. But if you ask for a high CP value, this is really super recommended!

The location is good. It's a little bit of a walk from Oita Station, but it's tolerable. When I checked in, I had to wait about 20 minutes because the cleaning hadn't been finished yet. The breakfast was delicious.

Because it was located in a quiet place, I felt a quiet rural atmosphere. It may feel far away because it is located at the end of an uphill road from the station, but it is located right in front of Kinrinko Lake, a famous spot in Yufuin. I made a reservation at night and used it, so there was actually no inconvenience! Also, we all go to the shared public bath early in the morning. Since it was just my family, it was also unintentionally private. As expected from Yufuin, the hot spring water was very good and neat and clean. Even when checking out, the owner greeted me kindly. Even if Jim Carrey is carried to the first floor just like the first time... I'm really touched in many ways,,,🥹 There are many ryokans in Yufuin, but this is a really great ryokan for the price. Next time I visit again, I want to experience the first floor as well. I'm planning to re-book ㅜㅠㅠ It was such a friendly experience,, And there is a soba restaurant with the same name right next to the bathhouse. It looks like they only sell lunch, but this place is also really good and there is a long wait, which is a shame since it is located right next door. 🤭

We booked 2x Japanese rooms for 3 nights, over the rugby period. Obviously all hotels were charging a premium, but having booked 12 months in advance, at a cost of virtually £2,000 (excluding breakfast and dinner), I expected the hotel to be pretty good. The staff were very pleasant, but the communication was a problem - appreciate that this is our fault as much as theirs! The rooms were very shabby in our opinion, the furniture was badly marked and it didn't seem very clean. The worst problem was the smell in one of the rooms though, the staff told us it was from the tatami matting, but it clearly wasn't, as the other room had the same floorcovering and didn't smell. We ended up thinking it was the drains - but it was very unpleasant. The bathroom was pretty basic, and not well maintained - dirty grout around the tub etc. We stayed at 5 other hotels in Japan, and generally the standard was as expected - this was the only disappointment when considering cost vs. quality. The futons were more comfortable that I had expected - I slept really well.

I was satisfied with the local menu of Oita Prefecture, including dango soup. There are two indoor baths in the large hot spring bath with a spacious space. There is also a whirlpool bath and a Louis Bosti hot water of the incense hot water. The open-air bath has natural rocks on the side facing the garden. The hot water temperature is a little hot and has a feeling of slimy. What is it in the indoor bath! Yunohana. Yunohana, which crystallized the hot spring ingredients, was in bloom in the bathtub. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.
