Hotels near Baan Dam Museum, Chiang Rai

The room that we booked was cleaned but unfortunate that the smell was not good, but Khun Ice receptionist was super helpful and move us to another room. We have impressed the service and concept of eco friendly of this hotel a lot. We can refill our water at the hallway. Unfortunate again the room and the hotel is not yet ready to accommodate due to most of the rooms and facilities still under renovation such as the swimming pool, gym, and rooms that not yet finished. We would love to stay here again once they are ready with full service.

I stayed here a few times before and love it here. I am happy to see that they can make it looks as good as what I have in my memories, after the big floods. The river may not be the most beautiful river but the landscapes of the hotel gave a very good complement to it. Breakfast was very good, as always.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The room was really nice. The staff was also friendly and helpful. They have a bike that you can borrow to ride around the area.

Excellent location, quiet and yet a short walk from everything: bars, restaurants and massage shops surround the hotel and the night market, Saturday market, clock tower and bus station are all very near. The breakfast buffet was decent for a hotel in this price range. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time. It would have been very classy 35 years ago, but now the elegance has aged. The control panel next to the bed no longer turns on music and you have to work out what the other controls do. (e.g. the switch marked ”TV” operates the bedside light.) Rooms are large with a decent bathroom with a proper bath. I stayed there twice, in a Superior room (the lowest level) and then a Deluxe. While the Deluxe had a few tiny improvements in fittings, the main advantage was having a decent number of power points. The Superior had no spare power points whatsoever in the bedroom, just one in the bathroom. Fortunately, the maid was able to give me a power board. (She didn't know much English, so I showed her a picture of one on my phone and she raced off and got one.) Then I was able to plug in everything via the socket the TV uses. The pool is strange, cold and stark, surrounded by concrete walls and situated on the ground floor. It's not even obvious how to get to it! There's one entrance through the restaurant and another from the second floor down a big flight of stairs. The only real negative is the wifi. It's atrocious and extremely weird. I had multiple devices connect to the same access point, yet get directed by DHCP to different routers! My phone always connected to one that worked (slowly), but my other devices would mostly get connected to one that didn't do anything. Of course, the front desk staff had no clue what was going on. Broadband on your phone in Thailand is cheap (150 baht/month for AIS 4G) so it's not the big deal it once would have been.

Good location,about ten minutes walk from the bus station/night market area.Good value for money,perfect for a short stay in Chiang Rai.

Hotel was clean, staff were professional and friendly. Location of hotel was walkable distance to everything we needed and wanted to explore. Nearby cat cafe, night bazaar and market, restaurants, massages and bus station. Forgot one of my items of clothing at the hotel and they were kind enough to mail it to my hotel in Bangkok for me to pick up. Quality service.

　It is located on the north side of the old airport site, a little farther from the center of the city, but the price is reasonable, one of my regular lodgings, and I use it for long stays. There is a bathtub depending on the room category, but if you don't book early, you will be sold out. The pool is large and there are children and is popular in the local area. There are also some types of breakfast. 　

Hotel molto bello e molto pulito, personale gentile e cortese (ti aprono la porto, ti prenotano Uber, ti chiamano in camera per svegliarti quando sanno che hai un’escursione). Ottimo per il senza glutine, io sono celiaca e mi hanno fatto pollo, verdure e patatine per pranzo e per la colazione dei pancakes con miele, oltre a succhi, frutta, yogurt ecc Se vi trovate a Chang Rai consigliatissimo!

I stayed in a family room. Everything is very good except for one thing that I don't understand why it had to be designed that way. The bathroom door has no lock. Which if I stay with friends or other people I would probably choose to book another hotel. The cleanliness and newness of the hotel is very good, there is indoor parking, close to important places, next to the Central Department Store which you can walk without having to drive.

The hotel room was nice, and staff were extremely friendly. You would definitely need transportation from and to the hotel. There isn’t much around. The gym was good, older equipment but still good.
