I used it for 2 days and 1 nights, but I was able to spend a nice night with a panoramic view of Nagasaki. The size of the room and the size of the bed were more satisfying than the photo, and the bath provided in the room had a better view than the large communal bath. Of course, I was able to enjoy the night view even in the large communal bath and was satisfied with the hot springs. I think that if access to the hotel becomes better, the satisfaction as a hotel will increase further.
If you want to enjoy the scenery of Nagasaki 々, I highly recommend it! ✨
The hotel is located on a hillside about 8 minutes away from the train station. Be careful as the map will give you wrong directions. The hotel facilities are very old. Breakfast is 500 yen, but the portion is a small set meal. You can go out for street food. This hotel really has a nostalgic a**osphere.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Candeo Hotel in Nagasaki, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, making it a fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers.
Additionally, the hotel is just a short 2-minute walk from bus stops, making it easy to explore the rest of Nagasaki with ease.
The hotel itself is modern and impeccably clean, which greatly enhanced the comfort of my stay. The check-in process is unique as it takes place on the 11th floor. Despite the initial surprise, the process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional.
The convenience of having various restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance is a significant plus. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full meal, you won’t have to venture far to find what you need.
Overall, my stay at Candeo Hotel was delightful. The combination of its convenient location, modern and clean facilities, and excellent service makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Nagasaki. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of the city.

It is located just across the street from the west exit of Nagasaki Station. It has a great location. If you like shopping, there are Amu and Youme nearby. You can also go to the Nagasaki Museum of Art and even Oura within walking distance. The hotel is new, well-equipped, quiet, and the room faces Mount Inasa. The service staff is also very friendly. The only small problem is that the disposable slippers are relatively thin, and they make a thumping sound when walking in the uncarpeted area of the room. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong.
Check in email was not sent, luckily trip customer support responded very fast. Bathroom is clean and the most comfortable bathroom i had in japan. Given the price i dont think any other hotel can match, just take note that this is an unmanned hotel
With a stay at Grand Base Nagasaki City in Nagasaki, you'll be just steps from Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture and Shofukuji Temple. This apartment is 0.2 mi (0.4 km) from Nagasaki City Office and 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Fukusaiji Temple.
Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 11 guestrooms, featuring kitchens with refrigerators and stovetops. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and flat-screen televisions are provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include microwaves and electric kettles.
Clean room with stove, utensils and washing machine. Bed was slightly firm. Our room (101) was next to the road, but late at night it is quiet on the street.
Only 1 parking right next to the entrance that is slightly expensive. Surrounding open air parking lots were cheaper.
Entry is easy to miss (see photo) and self check-in did take some time via ipad.
The hotel is on the hillside opposite Nagasaki Station, about a 5-minute walk. There are three rooms in total. Self-check-in requires filling in emails and other information, which is a little troublesome. The hygiene is not as clean as the hotel. There is dust on the bedside and contact lenses left by previous guests, but the bed and bathroom are still quite clean. There is a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen utensils and tableware in the room, although we didn't use them.
Driving to the hotel requires high-level driving skills, and there are not enough parking spaces when arriving at the hotel on weekends. The waiter is friendly.

GGuest UserLove the design and maintenance. Staff are very.helpful and friendly. Will come again
LLai Hong MayThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to JR Nagasaki station n a grand shopping mall. The room is spacious n there's a pleasant smell when you step into their lobby. The old gentleman at the concierge was especially helpful about our enquiry. Thank you.
GGuest UserLarge hotel room! Staff were nice and friendly. This hotel provides a discount ticket to mount inasa for the awesome view! Hotel location was around a 10mins walk from nagasaki station, but was not an issue for us.
GGuest UserThe Staff are very welcoming with a vast knowledge of the local area and afar. Very friendly people. The hotel is minutes from the harbour next to a shopping mall which houses a food court in the basement with international foods as well as traditional local fayre. Next to the hotel is a Napalise Restaurant and a 7/11 supermarket.
The rooms are spacious enough for a single traveller with the usual amenities such as free drinking water, hairdryer, shower, clothing care products and for the first time ever I got a Bath-Bomb each day for the very deep bath-tub!
There are laundry machines on each floor which you enter your own made-up Personal Identification Number (PIN) 4 digits so that only you can open the machine, they take two hours for an average wash and dry for 600 Y.
I'd stay again without a doubt!!
Zzh3usWe were pitting this hotel against other chains like Dormy Inn and Candeo Hotels.
Richmond’s value proposition is that you pay less but have less amenities. The rooms are bigger that what we were comparing with but you do not get a public bath and you do not get free drinks and noodles. For the price I think that Richmond is good in that aspect. The hotel lobby is nice and pays homage to the Dutch visiting Japan eons ago as Nagasaki was the first place they came into contact with then.
It’s a typical chain hotel, but its located along the bar and nightlife street, though the events happening around that street didn’t bother us, I believe that the price is lowered due to the location of the place.
FFui MeiNo frills, simple yet fully functional amenities. My family thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread & quality of food served. Onsen quality is better than some branded hotels found in the main city area. Our first time trying Dormy Inn and w are looking forward to the next!
메메워니* Standard Family Room / 3 people (carry-on luggage: 2 x 28-inch suitcases, 1 x 24-inch suitcase)
The stay at Corusant Hotel Nagasaki Station 2 was really great. The location was great, from Nagasaki Airport, you could take a bus right to Nagasaki Ekimae, and it was within 10 minutes on foot (with luggage) after getting off the bus. Nagasaki JR Station is also close to the bus terminal, so it was good to take the airport bus again. The tram stop is right on the main road, so it was GOOD!
The standard family room consists of 2 rooms with double beds (the larger room has a large built-in closet, so you can hang clothes and store suitcases!), a common space with a kitchen and living room, a shower room, and a toilet.
Since it is a residence hotel, the rooms with beds were spacious and the common space was spacious, so there was plenty of space even after opening all 3 suitcases, which was really nice. You can also store suitcases before and after check-in!!
成成先生I picked this hotel because it was right next to Nagasaki train station which made it super convenient to arrive and check-in without a hassle. The hotel is your standard Japanese style: very clean, comfortable and small. The check-in/check-out process was done via kiosk so not much customer service to rate. The price of the room was very reasonable, however, the thing I didn't like was the early checkout time at 10:00am instead of the usual 11 or noon at most other places. Other than that, this is a great hotel to stay at if you're visiting Nagasaki.
HHKJWAt midnight, the woman next to my bed suddenly open my curtain, it happened twice!!!
She is so rude and I’m so afraid, since there is no staff at night, I cannot ask for help immediately.
This is such a bad experience for me.
Other facilities are very good, bed and room are clean.
I think I’m bad luck to have such a bad and crazy roommate!
