Is a nice hotel, with a bunch of available services. Was a pity they don't have a biguer room or family rooms available , so we get a tween room, that was fine also. Restaurant is good, breakfast have a good varaiaty of food . Location is great, not far for many interesting places in the city.

This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

The staff at the front desk were really kind and English was also comfortable. The room was spacious enough and comfortable, especially with a bidet in the bathroom. However, I stayed on the 10th floor, but it was a little disappointing that the room with a bad view of the building in front was blocked, and I turned on the heating, but the cold wind kept coming out, so I asked for a separate heater, so it was less cold. Hotel facilities such as saunas and restaurants in the hotel have great convenience like a global brand five-star hotel, especially because it is located in the center of the city, so it was very convenient wherever you went. The hotel was famous, so the taxi drivers quickly found the location and arrived quickly. I am thinking of using it again when I come to Dalian next time. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

The ”please clean” sign was placed at the door the next day. After I went out, I found that the cleaning sign was still at the door. The aunt did not clean it. Call the front desk, The front desk actually said that it was my problem... I'm sorry for nothing! ! Then talk about the things that need to be paid attention to when you first check in. The bedside lamp and the table lamp have a total power switch, and then the bedside (Figure 1, 2). If the mobile phone is on at night, the main switch for charging at the head of the bed should be turned on, otherwise it will not be charged. Secondly, the drainage of the bathroom in the room I live in, if the switch is not working well, you need to use the suction cup of the foot pad to suck it out (Figure 4). Finally, there was a room opposite the window of the room where I lived with a mirror, which was always facing us. My husband is a Chinese, and he said that this is not very good in China (I don't think it is much).

We Visited Dalian during our Summer vacation & we loved it. The place is a little hidden so it took us a little while to find it. When we arrived the receptionist was welcoming and spoke English which made checking in easy. The Room was tidy and everything was Smooth we will definitely come back when we visit Dalian. Thank You to the ladies at the Reception their service was by far better than the service we just experienced at a 5 star hotel.

Most of the nearby bus and subway attractions are covered. The hotel facilities are perfect. The room is clean and tidy without any peculiar smell. I am very satisfied. Focus on the service. Because I am relatively weak, the rain switch can't be turned, so I asked the front desk attendant for help to turn it off. The next day the hotel staff called me and said I was sorry for my poor experience, so I was upgraded to a deluxe room for free. To be honest, there is nothing wrong with the standard room, it’s just that I can’t turn the rain switch with weak hands, but the hotel upgraded the room for me so that I also felt valued and thoughtful service. Next time you come to Dalian, the first choice is Liangyun Hotel. Good Luck Hotel will get better and better in the future.
