"My husband and I, along with our Golden Retriever, spent a long early May weekend at The Hummingbird Inn that was perfect in every respect: lovely Victorian house with beautiful gardens, an inviting wrap-around porch, artistic inner decor, comfortable clean room, and a superb unique breakfast prepared by the talented chef-owner Eric. He and the manager, Mary, and the rest of the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making their guests feel very much at home. Even Eric's dog, Birdie, shared her toys with our dog who was allowed in the lounge and breakfast room. When they say dog friendly, they mean it! The inn is conveniently located near Easton's historic downtown with many wonderful restaurants, superb art galleries, and gardens. It's an art lover's paradise. It's also within easy driving distance from Blackwater Wildlife Refuge with its wildlife drive and hiking trails and Assateague Island National Seashore with its free-roaming horses, both of which we visited. We were the only first-time guests at Hummingbird that weekend, but we'll be back to join the long list of repeat guests!"
