I went to the US Consulate to apply for a visa. I booked this hotel. It is right next to the US Consulate, just a few minutes' walk away. It is very convenient. The hotel front desk was also very enthusiastic and responsible. They called and added WeChat in advance to send the location and provide entry instructions. The hotel room is inside the community, very quiet, clean and relatively large, and equipped with a sofa, refrigerator, and washing machine. There is a security guard on duty 24 hours a day at the entrance of the community, which is also very safe. It is also very convenient to eat outside the community. There are all kinds of food. The subway transportation is also very convenient. The Guangdong Museum can be reached by foot, and the Guangzhou Tower is one stop away by subway. In short, this hotel is a good choice for applying for a visa to the US Consulate.

This review is relative to what I paid.
The apartment is decent enough, clean, no smell of smoke, quite spacious and the location is great for downtown - literally a few minutes walk from Zhujiang New Town station and 5-10 min walk to river viewing point of Canton tower. The landlady provides you with a map of how to access, which is fairly accurate, however the name in the description on Trip.com is not the name of the building (it's Leiden Sunshine Apartments) ... Obviously it's not Rosewood at this price point but it makes it difficult to find the property .. though if you are in the right vicinity, if you show someone the map, they should be able to direct you to correct building .. then you ha e to go to an office and they can call the landlady. They are friendly but there may be some difficulty in translations, so ideal to have a translator app handy if you don't speak mandarin.
Other than that I think it was good for my one night transit, as wanted to explore the heart of GZ and this was central to what I wanted .. it's about 50 minutes from airport on line 3 (no need to change).
Overall it's a good choice if you know above points.

The hotel is conveniently located just 100 m from Wuyangcun metro station, exiting from A exit. It is also just two stations from Canton Tower metro station. Hence for the pricing for a hotel room so conveniently near to metro station, it is cheaper than most other hotels near to a metro station.
Surrounding the hotel are lots of good eating places is another added convenience.
Everything about this hotel is it is fairly new, very clean, is modern and thoughtfully designed. Even the room is elegant and well equipped that makes my staying comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast can be purchased and the ambience setting of the restaurant is very cosy. Guests can do their own laundry as washing machine and dryers are available free in a laundry room for guest's use. Coffee, refreshment drinks are freely available in the reception and in the room.
Their front desk and receptionist are friendly and helpful and so are those in the restaurant serving breakfast. Indeed a good hotel that I have enjoyed my stay there in Guangzhou.

The room is a newly renovated suite, so it's very comfortable to live in, but it doesn't match the style of the corridor because the corridor is still the original, more classical style. The location of the hotel is okay, next to a tributary and on the roadside, but I didn't feel noisy when I slept at night. , close to Huacheng Square and Canton Tower, the starting price of a taxi is only there; there is nothing delicious nearby, so it is more suitable to eat near the attractions or order takeout; the breakfast is very average, there are about 10 choices for the buffet, but considering that it is 30 yuan The standard cannot be too high; most of the hotel staff have very good service attitude. After contacting them in advance, they helped to reserve an above-ground parking space because I heard that the underground parking lot is very crowded and I have a 7-seater car with a lot of luggage, and the TV There was a problem with turning on the computer, and the staff were very enthusiastic to help solve it. I stayed here for three days and overall I feel satisfied. The main reason is the new decoration, and the price is very good for the 50 square meters of space. The location is very good and we had no overall problems with the room give or take a cockroach and a harder than average bed. After travelling a couple of weeks having the washing machine was a bonus. Our only problem was with the rooms having no sound proofing at all from the main corridor. Other guests were being loud throughout the night, going out into the hallway to talk on their phone or going between rooms and slamming doors kept me and my wife awake most of the time. The other issue was with smoking. Our room didn’t smell of cigarettes at first but as other guests would smoke in their rooms or the hallways our room would fill up with smoke in no time and it was as if they were actually smoking in our room which made us feel sick. it would be better if the floors can be separated into smoking and non smoking and even quiet and loud if people like to spend more time in the corridor than their room. Overall if you get more lucky with other guests than we had I would recommend, or if you are a heavy sleeper and don’t mind cigarette smoke this is an ideal cheaper place to stay in Guangzhou downtown.

Not bad for the price. Some of the details noticed where that the bed looked unfinished when first entered the room and water on the shower stays in the floor around the toilet which makes it very inconvenient. The alley outside the hotel looks a little sketchy but besides that the location is ok, near canton tower and accesible. Receptionist was kind and could speak english which made it easier.

Arrived early & was glad that 2pm could return for check-in instead of 4pm stated on Trip.com. Mercure at Beijing Road is at prime location with the MRT 5mins away & Tee Mall situated next to it. Being a relatively new year old hotel, rooms & facilities are new too! Like the spacious room with free drinks bar & two types of pillows. The toilet is japanese bidet type & the only small shortfall is the drainage of water in bathroom is slow.
Appreciate that housekeeping refills the mineral water daily as summer heat is intense. The free DIY laundry room at Level 30 is my saviour to wash my clothings before leaving to next city.
Conclude that the room have also one of the best soundproofing as I did not hear any sound from the corridor (despite a notice in room that states might have construction noise & provided ear plugs).
Overall, this Mercure Guangzhou is recommended.

AAnonymous User**Disappointing Stay and Missed Airport Fetch at Kyriad Marvelous Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport)**
I recently stayed at the Kyriad Marvelous Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport) for two nights. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of the positive reviews I read online, which makes me question their authenticity.
**From the very beginning, the check-in process was unpleasant.** The staff displayed a rude and unwelcoming demeanor. When they provided the initial Wi-Fi username and password, it turned out to be incorrect.
**We returned to the lobby to address the Wi-Fi issue.** Instead of simply providing the correct credentials, the staff member became impatient and took our phone to set up the connection themselves. When we politely requested the username and password for our computer, they responded with a dismissive attitude, stating they ”already set it up” and questioned why we needed the information. We explained the initial credentials were wrong, and they finally provided the correct username and password written on a piece of paper, further demonstrating their lack of courtesy.
**Housekeeping was another area of disappointment.** After our first night, we requested room service. Despite confirming our room number and promising to clean the room later, housekeeping never arrived. Returning to the hotel in the evening, we found our room untouched. We ended up having to replenish our own water bottles and toilet paper.
**The airport fetching service we booked was another source of frustration.** We arrived in the lobby early for the arranged pick-up time. However, when the pick-up time approached, we were informed that the car had already left for the airport without us!** There was no apology or explanation for this missed pick-up. Thankfully, another driver was present in the lobby and was able to arrange alternative transportation to ensure we reached the airport on time. This incident was a stressful and concerning experience.
Overall, my stay at the Kyriad Marvelous Hotel was a frustrating one. The staff's unprofessionalism, the lack of housekeeping service, the missed airport pick-up, and the initial Wi-Fi problems significantly detracted from the experience.
**In light of this experience, I would strongly advise potential guests to manage their expectations and consider alternative hotels near the airport that offer reliable airport fetching services and provide a more welcoming atmosphere.**

AAscotThe hotel is spotlessly clean, inside the room especially. Super quiet, did not hear a soul from outside the room. Same goes with watching the airplanes take-off and landing, not a sound at all. The shuttle service is number 1 for personalized service. It is worth staying at, with a bus stop on the road virtually directly out front, great eateries next door as well.

We enjoy the orange theme of this hotel, provided orange scent shampoo bath gel, toothpaste also in orange flavour, orange cookies, orange soft candies, all time free flow orange juice and good quality coffee.
About 6min walk from Yue Xiu mrt station to hotel.
Very convenient to travel around like bei Jing lu.
Their free laundry area is so convenient to us. Free washer and free dryer. No need to buy detergent.
Counter young man and young ladies very patiently providing us great recommendations of place and food.
Love their Robot service too. So high tech.

GGuest UserLocation is very convenient. Walkable distance to the river and some parks. There are plenty of places to eat at the hotel or inside the building(k11). The room was nice, better than the hotel photos. On a cloudy day you may feel yourself inside a cloud. The lights of city in the evening are especially good looking from the this hotel. I like the ambiance of this hotel. The vibe is a relaxed sophistication. The artwork in the hallways, elevators and public spaces is very nice. Sometimes, i find the public spaces and hallways of this hotel to be more beautiful than the room, haha. The room is well reserved and relaxing , whereas public spaces are more energetic. Probably, how it should be. The great asset of this hotel is all the staff. And that would be the first reason i will be back to this place. A special thank you to Pyotr, Kimy and Aimee for your kindness, professionalism and a human side!

The customer service when checking in was extremely lacking. The guy at the counter was not friendly or helpful.
The entrance smelled of cigarettes.
Someone came ro knock on my door early in the morning.

The bed was comfortable.
The room was clean.
Overall I do not recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an excellent location. It is within a reasonable distance from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk and 7 minutes to walk to the subway station. The hotel actually occupies three floors of a residential building. The room is really not flattering. There is a bed as soon as you open the door. There is only one bed in the whole room. Two people can only sleep on the bed in the room. There is no place to put it in the room. The toilet is small and pitiful. One person can't take a shower and the other person can't use the toilet. . This is the smallest room I have ever booked on Ctrip. The order indicates that there are windows, but there are no windows, and the area is definitely not 20 square meters. Won’t book again, poor experience

CChengxiqu88clean and nice remodeling. But this is not a 5 star, rather 3 to 4 star. Actually it’s a weird hotel. They completely lack the windows. The hallways are zigzagging and has a huge risk if fire breaks. I don’t know how the city government allows this kind of hotel. They turned off the heater and keep saying they turned it on. Latter they provided a space heater. I would not recommend this hotel.

SSeh KiatVery good location next to the Beijing Lu Pedestrian Walk. In the older part of the city. The surrounding is very nostalgic yet very well kept by the city.
My room is a river view high floor and it was exactly what I got. Full height window and a Tatami bed. It also came with a washer and a separate dryer. Unfortunately the dryer had to be placed in the bathroom which made it a bit cramp.
The room itself is well maintained and what I suspect to be toiletries left behind by previous occupants are displayed for subsequent travellers.
I had great sleep, unfortunately I could not enjoy the great view because it was fogged out during my stay..
Overall, think Airbnb apartment.
The building is quite aged, so the lifts are a bit slow in coming. Add to that, the entire building seems to be occupied by numerous similar operators.
BTW Check In and service desk is in apartment 1813, at least for now.
