It was already my 5th time at the hotel this year, so I can say that the service is of a very constant factor. Check-in was again very smooth, and even though we checked in around noon, the rooms were already ready. Again I received a nice upgrade, and this room was also perfect. The rooms feel like you are coming home a little bit. The bathroom was also spacious and had a large walk-in shower. I had a great breakfast in the morning, and I can really recommend the chef who makes all different egg dishes, again a delicious omelet. Until next time.

We travel to Hamburg regularly for 2-4 days and will likely stay again at this Marriott: great location, feels safe even late to walk home, clean though unfortunately carpet, good bed, nice bathtub, water kettle and tea selection. American standard service attitude. Note that the bar at the hotel did not have a trained bar tender - they can only make drinks that are exactly on the menu. Not a big deal for us but surprising. We are still careful with Covid, staff wore masks, other customers mixed.

Recommended again and again! A real luxury hotel where (almost) everything is right. We have been there several times and are always very impressed with the room, staff and especially the breakfast. Only this time there was a problem with the heating, it couldn't be turned on, a valve was broken. Unfortunately, this was not fixed until the third complaint on our part. Defects can occur, no problem, but then they have to be fixed quickly.

Fantastic service from Paulina. She checked me into the hotel efficiently. Told me all about the services offered by the hotel. She was friendly and helpful. I had asked her to help me pay a traffic ticket that was written in German. She read the ticket, translated and helped me figure out how to pay it. Thank you. The hotel was under renovation but the room was very nice. It was quiet and had a nice view of the canal. The location is very central-walking distance to most sites and to the shopping areas. Would definitely stay here again.

As I travel very frequently for leisure and business I have a broad frame of reference. This hotel has positively surprised me. Many hotels still use Covid as an excuse to strip down their service. Not this one: extremely friendly, helpful and anticipating reception staff (big compliment and thank you to Uwe Ahlburg at the reception - one of a kind customer oriented top professional - really OUTSTANDING). You get water, slippers and full amenities in your room. They offered a second bottle at check in just in case that you dont have to walk down again. Hotel still offers desinfection everywhere. Room is clean and was desinfected. Beds are very comfy, room not huge but big enough, bathroom has sufficient space to deposite all items, light is good and magnifying mirror is effective. Only item to improve is the coffee was only decaf and not sufficient milk powder and I could hear a bit from other guest through connection door. Check in and out very effective. Asked for a taxi in a hurry and staff walked over for me to get it as fast as possible. Its not a luxury 5 Star super fancy place but if back in HH I’d still prefer it over those as in the end service makes the difference and not the price / look of the furniture. Excellent value for money.

The beautiful, large lobby, which reflects the long history of the hotel is hugely impressive whilst the rooms are stylishly modern. My room had plenty of room for storage (often lacking in many hotels), a very comfortable double bed and an immaculate, well designed large bathroom. Breakfast offerings were exceptional and it was good (and rare) to be able to have items cooked to order. The lobby cafe/bar was pleasant but service was disappointingly slow. Although these are difficult times due to the pandemic, it was a great shame that the restaurant and bar were both closed. Given that most other hospitality premises had reopened in Hamburg, I found it odd that the hotel had not been able to open them and had not publicised that fact more openly on their website.

Stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights 21st June / 23rd June and my stay was faultless. I had booked a single room, but was upgraded to a double. The room was very large and spotless, with a lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent with many hot and cold choices. The breakfast room was lovely and the staff were always clearing away the used plates etc. The staff at the check in were always smiling, and were extremely polite. I have to say the breakfast staff were the same. Be aware that the room key envelope also caters for your free travel ticket. This is one of the best Hotels I have ever used. Other Hotels could learn from this Hotel, re how it treats their guests. A faultless stay...well done to all members of staff.

Stayed here recently for a visit to the Hamburg Staatsoper, a 5 minute walk away. Although the decor is slightly dated, this hotel is spotlessly clean and very welcoming. It is centrally located within walking distance of the shopping area, several decent restaurants and cultural attractions. It is also a very short walk from the excellent U Bahn at Stephansplatz, giving easy access to the airport and the more distant districts of this fascinating city. I found the best rates on the hotel website and the breakfast included in all rates is fine. Covid protections were good. Whilst the Alsterhof may not be the last word in luxury, it represents excellent value for money. It is a comfortable 3 star establishment at the upper end of that rating, and I will have no hesitation in booking here for any future visits to this fascinating city.

The studio apartments at Citadines Michel are quite small, although it is good that the bed is actually in its own seperate room. In the whole apartment is only one small window, which makes the place quite dark. Apartment located towards the Ludwig-Erhard Strasse suffers from car noise, adn apartments to the opposite side experience church bells from nearby Michaelis 4 times an hour around the clock. You simply need to close the window to be able to fall asleep. Facilities are rgreat and includes a laundrette to wash and dry your clothes. It is possible to reserve parking at 19 Euros per night, but this includes free use of two charching stations, convenient if you travel by EV. Location is great, close to Prtugese Quarter and walking distance to the rest of the city.
