Think this is a 4-5 stars hotel locally. The lobby is decent, not posh type. The rooms are cosy and beautiful. Kids like the kids room, toys and the sport car bed. All toiletries are provided and have kids version. Very thoughtful. Have a welcome fruits n snacks platters with high class mineral water. One thing we didn’t like about the hotel is it has a weird smell when we stepped out of the lift and walked towards our room. Like ‘salted fish’ smell. Not sure if it is from carpet or some food brought in by others. The smell was also in our room. The hotel is at a busy road junction facing Songhua River. Around there are many local eateries. We had a hard time finding suitable food for us and kids as their local food are mostly beef, lamb and duck innards and spicy. End up we took a taxi and went to a restaurant called Sheng Tian Fu, recommended by the driver. Taxi drivers not many are familiar with this hotel, and have to show them namecard. Not too difficult to get to attractions such as Harbin Polarpark, Sofia church and Zhongyang Street. More convenient to travel by taxi as these places are not exactly very near hotel and it can be cold walking a distance of 1-2km. Hotel provides decent breakfast with reasonable variety. Waitresses are friendly and proactive to chat with you and recommend you what to eat. One of them is called Xiao Liu, nice middle-age lady. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and may go back if we go to Harbin again and if the pricing of hotel is cheaper.

It happened to be my child's birthday today, so I wanted to book a parent-child room to make him happy. The room was very large, and the decoration was great. Many of the previous reviews confirmed. We arrived late at night but were able to check in easily. The location was spectacular near many coffee shops and Russian restaurants. We even stumbled upon a nearby karaoke bar on the pedestrian street! It is near enough to walk to the Sophia Cathedral (which is seemingly closed). Ice and Snow World is far enough to need a car but close enough that it’s a quick ride. After hours of touring in the cold, the heated floors were much appreciated. The bathtub was also very nice.

Grand Mansion 1903 Hotel 🏨 is still as good as ever. I stayed here with my children in 2019. The children liked it very much. Both the decoration and the service of the hotel are very good. Have breakfast in the hotel's century-old wine cellar. Freshly fried steak and omelettes are the specialties. They taste very good and there are many varieties of breakfast. When I came to Harbin again this year, I chose the Grand Gongguan 1903 Hotel. When I checked in, a handsome guy with a very nice attitude saw me bringing an old man and two children with him, and he even offered to give us a breakfast. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good. Across the road from the north gate is the Songhua River Cruise Terminal, and next door is the Swan Castle Crossing Cableway Station. The downside is that the hotel is old and the carpets are dirty. There was a caterpillar popping up on the first floor where I lived. It's so close to the river and it's humid.

Huge room. Wonderful. The location is perfect, its off the Main Street so you don't get the noise but its a 5 min walk to the main shopping / tourist street. A 10 min walk to the park where you can access the cable car. Really the location is great. 24hour store opposite also, so really useful if you want to keep warm in the room and eat snacks. Speaking of warmth, the room we had was a little cold, but we didn't notice the heater in the room, but once we did, everything is fine. The place is clean and the service staff are friendly - although we didn't need to use them a lot, they always seemed keen. The reason facilities is not 5/5 is just due to the fact there was no breakfast, but as there are stores always nearby and the Main Street is super close, it really doesn't matter. It's a really nice place and especially for the money, its superb value. Would stay again - very easy decision.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay here. The staff was very helpful when I arrived; they assisted me with signing up for the local health code app and when I needed to find a location to test before leaving Harbin the provided me with an address and phone number for the local test center. Major Pros: - Bed is Super comfortable, clean and they provide you with 3 different types of pillows (each filled with a different material) perhaps for finding your best fit... - 2 bottles of water free per day and a hot water kettle - Paraben free shampoo and body wash & toothbrush - heating in the room is super warm - Incredible location... central so you are not far from any attraction 2 hour walk (in winter) to iceland and only like 10 rmb taxi ride back to hotel from there... 3 hour walk to tigers. and again 10-15 rmb back to hotel... 15-20 minute walk to Sophia's Cathedral and the shopping food street. Dragon tower less than an hours walk. Cons: - No Hot Water :( Neither in the sink nor the shower... I ran it both directions for several minutes... ice cold... had to shower my hair and then towel wash my body because it was too cold... biggest con. - No breakfast available... not even for a charge... food room in picture was not seen during my stay... not sure if this was because of the Holiday or what... but I was there 5 nights... - Sink was marble like material and had clearly broken in half. It was glued back together and then taped to hold it back in place.... not an issue... just strange. SORRY I had intended to take more photos but I forgot. Great place if you don't need luxury. Very comfortable stay.

Originally, the hotel facilities, environment, and hygiene were all very good, but I couldn't understand the waiter's service attitude. Less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel is the side entrance of the Snow Expo. We asked the waiter how to get to the Snow Expo. She asked us to take a ride-hailing car from the hotel to the main gate in about seven or eight minutes and then go in. We would come back in the evening because the hotel Due to the location, online appointments and rentals were not available, so we had to walk with our children for nearly half an hour in a temperature of about minus 30 degrees Celsius. Our hair and hat were covered in ice, our eyelashes were often covered in ice, and our clothes and scarves were all covered in ice. It was freezing, so I walked for nearly half an hour before returning to the hotel. The next day, I discovered that there was a gate to the Snow Expo next to the hotel, and I suddenly felt very depressed.

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of the city, near to all the main shops and restaurants. You can also walk to St Sophia's cathedral. This place has a lot of charm and character! TV didn't seem to have any movies or anything beyond the regular channels but it was nice and comfortable. The set breakfast was ample and tasted good - it looks as if they have abandoned the buffet style. Staff cannot speak much if any English but I can speak enough Chinese and they were friendly. Overall it is clean and worth it for the price.

I was a bit hesitant to stay here after reading all the recent negative reviews, but we had an amazing stay and absolutely nothing to complain about! Room was clean and very comfortable, the service was great, location couldn’t be better. The room temperature was perfect, shower could get very hot, and even when we showed up to breakfast ten minuted before end they would still refill the different dishes. 100% recommend

The room is clean and the bed sheets are hygienic. Each person has to change his or her own suit. The room is very warm and comfortable in autumn and winter. I stayed for two nights and will stay here again next time I come to Harbin. It is close to the Central Street and Hongzhuan Street Morning Market subway stations, within walking distance, and the transportation is convenient. The front desk service attitude is also very good. We also went to the Volga Manor to experience the Russian style.
