Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort

Hilton Head Island|6.61km from city center
A good resort is defined by things like beautiful grounds, a relaxing pool, access to the beach, delicious food, and excellent customer service. The Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort certainly has all of those things. But, an excellent resort is defined by its people and their willingness to make everyone's experience, no matter how long, a lovingly memorable one. Here, the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort exceeds all expectations. Our family decided to switch our usual annual vacation from somewhere else in SC to HHI, and after plenty of research, settled on the Omni. Ahead of our visit (September 5-10, 2022), I emailed with Lucy K., the assistant rooms manager, about celebrating our son's recent birthday. Lucy was our superstar of the entire vacation, ensuring that when we arrived into our beautiful suite, there were pool toys for him, bubbles, crayons, and a super cute towel sculpture of a birthday cake. The head of housekeeping was in our room when we arrived, leaving a much-appreciated card for our family signed by the staff. Not only did Lucy set up such an amazing arrival, but she arranged for a later checkout for us on the last day as our flight was later in the day and our little boy needed to nap in the early afternoon. You have no idea how much stress this took off of our minds that last day. Lucy single-handedly made our family vacation (the first major one as a new family since the pandemic ended) an awe-inspiring experience. Besides Lucy, John S., the recreation manager texted us and arranged a very VIP experience of meeting the resident mascot Duney the Dolphin and gave us our own miniature plush version to take home (our son STILL plays with him on a daily basis three weeks later). Other props go to the nice gentleman at the Seaside Shack who always said hi to our son and provided him with a couple of little toys throughout the week, as well as Sydney, the resort's loyalty ambassador who texted to check on us during the week. The resort and our suite were super clean and gave our family the room we needed. I loved sitting out on the massive balcony and enjoying not only the waves, but a couple of morning dolphin shows! We loved the stunning courtyard, grounds, and three pools. Our little guy spent a ton of time visiting with his new ”friends” at the splash pad. I believe every single team member of the Omni we encountered over the course of a week greeted our family with a smile—from housekeeping to poolside servers to bellhops. We loved the zero entry of the main resort pool and the two large umbrellas allowing you to seek shelter while enjoying the water. Besides that, the abundance of umbrellas around the pool are hard to find at other resorts, and the poolside music was EXACTLY what you want when relaxing (fun, chill, and just kind of ”there” in the background without annoying anyone). The beach in front of the resort is pristine and peaceful. We also liked the food offerings around the pool, but don't sleep on the delici

While I can't say that this hotel was horrible, the bare-bones state of the room and a pretty disgusting bathroom really soured my experience. The front desk experience was very nice, and you can tell that the hotel earnestly tries very hard to make its guests feel welcome. The front desk attendant called once we got to our room to check if everything was ok -- but this call came RIGHT as we entered, so we hadn't had a chance to really look over things. I stayed in a handicap accessible room that had a king bed and an accessible shower. When we got to the room, it was a pretty basic/economy space that didn't feel very comfortable -- mostly because the floors are bare. The A/C and head worked fine. The television worked, and we had a microwave and fridge in the room. A lightbulb was out in one of the sconces. The bed was covered in clean linens and was generally comfortable. There was no privacy curtain, only a blackout one, so we pretty much kept the blinds closed the whole time. The bathroom was the worst part of the room, and in need of some fixes. When we entered, the bathroom had a slight smell of sewage, probably from not being used in a while. The floor was very dirty, and the large drain for the standing shower had visible signs of rust. In the morning, it made me just want to leave. I think my experience is unique to the room I was in, but it will make me very hesitant to stay at another red roof inn.

Marriott's Barony Beach Club

This hotel was by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I stayed with my husband and two children and our villa was gigantic and everything was in perfect condition and perfect cleanliness. The pools were amazing, service was amazing, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. At one point the general manager even helped me find a spoon for my toddler to eat his yogurt. We will absolutely be back! The only unfortunate thing that happened here was the pool grill closed at 7 on the first night we were there and I found it difficult to find food nearby. However the staff had made an announcement, I was just too busy enjoying the pools and beach to notice. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

As a seasoned national salesman travelling in all states in USA . I am pretty picky when it comes to hotels . They have the be safe and clean and affordable. Using tripadvisor as a guide ,I chose the simple rewards inn ,over a host of other go to hotels . I was pleasantly surprised for $100 cah back rewards which never seen in any other hotels anywhere in USA and impressed with condition of property rooms were super clean and orderly and safe. Highly recommended

This was just a one night stay, we were on the way to Florida and decided to check out Hilton Head for a day/night. The motel was in a good location, kind of hidden off the road, but within walking distance to the public access to the beach and restaurants. The room was clean and the area was quite. Beds were very comfortable. Enough room for 4 of us for a night anyway.
Holiday Inn Resort Beach House

This hotel is right in the middle of everything. Now that can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. It was a little louder location than I normally prefer but the hotel front desk staff was very friendly, the room was nice, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and it was convenient. Also, it is right on the beach.

I’m loyal to Hilton brand hotels, but their service has went down since the pandemic. The only time you see housekeeping is when it’s time to checkout. They want to make sure you are out of your room by checkout time. I’m very impressed with this Marriott. My wife is a late sleeper, so we don’t usually leave our room until after 1:00 p.m. Housekeeping still cleaned our room every day. You no longer get that with Hilton. We came back from Kroger with some groceries, and we were resting in the lobby with our packages. As we were getting up, this lady approached us in what looked like a manager’s vest. She actually asked us if we needed any help carrying our packages to our room. How great is that! That’s an example of the impeccable service you receive at this hotel.
