Mula Hotel

Sultan Ahmed Mosque Istanbul|1.04km from Nisanca Muhtarlik Parki
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mula Hotel in Istanbul with my family, including two toddlers, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Nestled in the heart of the old Sultanahmet area, the location couldn’t be more ideal. It’s within walking distance of all the major attractions, offering a perfect blend of convenience and cultural immersion. The surrounding area is a food lover’s paradise, with an array of great restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Plus, the easy access to the tram makes exploring the city a breeze. The hotel itself is a gem. My room was not only beautifully appointed but also boasted a stunning sea view that added a special touch to our family stay. Waking up to the serene vista of the sea was truly a highlight. The hotel’s family-friendly atmosphere made our stay with toddlers smooth and enjoyable. However, what really sets Mula Hotel apart is its exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was not just professional but genuinely warm and welcoming. Their constant smiles and readiness to assist at any hour truly made me feel valued and taken care of. From getting a bottle of water in the middle of the night to personal touches like waiters remembering my omelette preferences after just one day - every detail was noticed and appreciated. I must give special mentions to Ercan at the restaurant and Ilknur at the front desk. Their outstanding service and personal attention significantly enhanced my stay. Their professionalism and kindness reflect the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. Coming from someone who travels significantly and has stayed in several fantastic properties across the world, I can confidently say that Mula is right up at the top, and a rarity among hotels. In conclusion, Mula Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination that offers a memorable experience. Whether it’s the prime location, the beautiful rooms, the delicious food, or the unparalleled service, this hotel ticks all the boxes for an exceptional stay in Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, especially those traveling with family.

Laos Otel

So, we booked & paid for in advance, the following rooms: - 1 x Triple Room with Disability Access - 1 x Deluxe Triple Room - 2 x Deluxe Double Room Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were provided with 1 x Triple Room with Disability Access, 2 x Deluxe Triple Rooms and 1 x Deluxe Double Room as one of the Deluxe double rooms was booked by someone who was already staying at Laos Hotel. This is a reference which will become clear shortly down this review... The Transfer Service which we booked through the hotel was 1.5 hours late. The price I had to pay to the Hotel was 1,350.00 Turkish Lira so we had to pay for the pleasure of being messed about by their transfer service. Bearing in mind we're a family of 10 with 2 young children and at this point, everyone was becoming incredibly grouchy which is completely understandable. WiFi is ridiculously slow to the point where on the night of Day 4 through to Day 6, we actually had little to completely no WiFi whilst at Laos Otel. This was common for us all in our group and was reported to Yilmas. We actually do not know if and when this has been resolved as when we checked out and escaped from this Hotel, there was still no WiFi. Our stay was for a period of 6 days in total. The hotels policy is that they change the bedding every 4 days which was informed to our families mothers by Baarish. This was not the case. During our entire stay at this hotel, the bedding nor towels were changed at all. The room was not cleaned at all. Not once. I queried this on Day 6 (whilst in a heated altercation with Yilmas) and Yilmas actually responded with ”we cannot clean while you are not in the room as we do not have another key”. Literally unbelievable. I had to actually check his response again by asking him very clearly ”you have ONLY 1 key?”, to which he responded ”yes”. This actually translated to for me ”we won't clean because its not something we do during a week long stay”. Furthermore, Yilmas's response was a complete and utter lie as they had entered one of our rooms whilst we were out to put some silicone by the shower cubicle. So for a Hotel to have ONLY 1 key is absolute nonsense and was only used as an excuse and their very weak and non existent justification as to why they didn't clean. There is definitely no 24 hour reception desk. One of the hosts, Yilmas got into a huge strop just because we disturbed his sleep on the lobby sofa as we were popping out to smoke. Seems as though we had a curfew. His justification for this was that after 12am, it is quiet time. I completely understand quiet time and respect it. We were not being loud for us to violate ”quiet time”. We genuinely haven't been noisy whilst at the hotel and have been incredibly courteous towards everyone. We have actually been told to go bed and be asleep after 2am? I'm sorry but no-one has a right to dictate what time we should be going sleep. Furthermore, we have actually been locked out of the hotel because Baarish was fast asleep on the

I'm worried about bad reviews, but the bed is a bit narrow There are many restaurants around, so I didn't eat breakfast. Nothing to eat for Turkish breakfast But considering the price and all aspects, I think this is a good hotel, clean and comfortable. I first arrived in Istanbul and then stayed in a hotel near the mosque, but it was more expensive and better. There are many restaurants and markets around the area, and you can find cheap, delicious and varied Turkish cuisine. In front of us, the Indian restaurant Chicken Biryani, Simple and delicious curry chicken fried rice. The nearby currency exchange office is reasonably priced, and the mosque and market are within walking distance. There is a subway nearby and an airport bus runs every 20 minutes. rest well!

We were with my husband at the end of January. The room was cold, included the air conditioner for the heat at the maximum. And it was still cold. It is very difficult to go to the shower because it is cold! Breakfast, as for me, will go (egg cooked, omlet, bakes, toasts, jams, vegetables, sausages, a little fruit, juice, tea, coffee soluble). Bed normal. polite staff. Access to the hotel is very uncomfortable. Close roads, cars can't drive. Somehow arrived at the hotel at an hour of the night, the hotel was closed with a key, on the recipe nobody. 40 minutes about drumming, called. Frozen crazy. thanks to the guys from the doubtful institution opposite, helped, called someone. The guy with the resepshen just somewhere sleeped strongly. ))) In general, not to say that it is bad, but we will not come there exactly anymore. If the room was warm, the impressions would be much better.

We stayed there as a couple with 4 children. The area is very busy and things are really cheap and people are very friendly. It’s easy access to the Metro in Beyazit, however it’s a 10 mins walk uphill to get to the tram station. Not a problem as such as you will soon find Istanbul is all up and down! but with the hot season, something to think about. There are many taxis that can take you up if you choose not to walk. Everywhere around this apartment is very cheap. There are many shops that are open until late, it was very convenient with the kids and safe area to walk to and from the apartment. Everything is 10 times cheaper than the area of Sultan Ahmet. In terms of the apartment itself, you get what you pay for. The apartment is very safe and they have a staff at the reception 24hrs. The apartment has air conditioning which is a massive plus if you’re staying in August because it’s boiling outside. Although this was in one room. It takes a bit of time to cool down the 2 bedrooms. The furniture is quite dated but the beds were comfy and we slept well. the kitchen facilities are not that great/ accessible for use. The missus was a little apprehensive to touch anything as the stovetop was open and didn’t seem safe. She was insistent there was a strong smell of gas. The bathroom could do with updating as there was mould on the ceiling which left a bad stuffy smell daily. To be fair, when the ladies got in to clean for us, it was manageable but again not the best. As I said you get what you pay for, and as we were on a budget and just needed a place to sleep at night, we managed with it. If you are out all day and only come home for a short and sleep, it’s great. On that note, the staff and owner are lovely and receptive. We thank them for our stay. Don’t hesitate to stay there, the owner just need to spend a bit to upgrade the furnitures and sort out the moulds in the bathroom ceiling. A bit of effort of putting a clean kettle goes a long way. The mini fridge in the room is a massive plus as we could buy our own groceries everyday and snacks and kept replenishing our fridge. Thank you again we spent an amazing time in this area and we felt very safe with children in this apartment . THANK YOU 😊

Our stay in this hotel in the heart of old Istanbul was simply perfect! Just 1 km from the Grand Mosques and the Grand Bazaar, the location couldn't be more ideal for exploring the city. Breakfast was a real feast, offering a variety of delights to start the day off right. The rooms were spotless, ensuring total comfort. But what really made our stay exceptional was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. In addition, the availability of multiple paid parking lots nearby made our trip easier. If you are looking for a place to fully enjoy Istanbul, look no further. This hotel is a gem that we highly recommend! 🏨🌟🥐🧹😊
