I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Izu, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The hotel itself is equally impressive. It is well-designed and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff at Izu Marriott. They were incredibly polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local attractions or assistance with my room, the staff was always available and eager to help. Especially thank Roshan and the front desk team, who provide exceptional service to us.

This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. But what if you want to go ”out to eat” at night, instead of paying between 10-20,000 yen for a meal? Good luck. Unless you have your own car (and I'd say about 90% of the customers

While planning the trip to Izu, we wanted to be close to the ocean and enjoy some excellent seafood (sashimi), and we were not disappointed with the stay at Inatori Tokai Hotel Yuen. The hotel is literally just next to the ocean and since we booked a room with private onsen, it was really a treat soaking in hot onsen water, admiring the view and enjoying the sound of the ocean. Though our first impression of the hotel was that it is a bit dated, the rooms have obviously been newly renovated with a nice modern look. We are a group of four so we booked a Western/Japanese room with two beds and a tatami room. It is a good size for the 4 of us. Dinner was excellent with lots of fresh sashimi; since we chose a menu with lobster and abalone, we would have expected that the portion of the regular sashimi would be reduced, yet this was not the case. Hence, one suggestion is that the portion of sashimi could be adjusted for it was way too much for four people. I like the website of the hotel, which allows me to check all the details including choice of room before making the booking. As it was not a budget stay, it is important for us to make decision based on the best information.

The appearance of the room is very inconspicuous, but the inside of the room is simply stunning! Be sure to choose a room with a balcony. The view is super nice and I couldn’t be more impressed. The only drawback is that it is far from the station. Although there is a free shuttle bus, the latest one ends at 4:30. The hotel does not provide meals and can only be eaten outside, so I take a taxi back every day. However, being able to stay in a room like this during the fireworks season, the price is still cheap, and you can also soak in the hot springs, it is really a great value! In addition, the small restaurant in Izu-Kogen Station cooks delicious food, and the coffee and breakfast shop only opens at 10 o'clock, which is also delicious, so it can perfectly solve the problem of no food in the hotel.

I used it for a few days back, but I stayed for the first time. It is convenient to use the day-trip hot spring hall after checking out on the day of the stay. The pool is also available at a discount price and full of elements that can be enjoyed quite. The room chose a large room with a veranda, but it may be good to be far from the main building and narrow. I was at the day trip hot spring hall and tried to use it open-air. It is not cheap, but you can relax with your family. The zashiki is also large. However, there is nothing to bring food and drink (with a refrigerator). The public bath is a great view open-air bath as well as a day trip. It becomes a little narrow version. It is a great view whenever you go.

Great value for money. It is very close to Atami Station, a 5-minute walk, very convenient. After exiting the JR station, turn left and walk straight ahead (passing the bus station, there is a Family Mart opposite). Self check-in, remember to ask the staff for a kettle when checking in, as there is no one in the room; disposable items such as toothbrushes and cups can be obtained from the elevator. However, breakfast is a small sandwich and coffee, which is not full and is not recommended. You can store your luggage in the hotel before check-in (automatic luggage box on the first floor). The MOA Art Museum can be reached directly by bus in front of the hotel, but it is still recommended to go to Atami Station to take the bus, otherwise there may be no seats. The staff is rather cold-faced and unenthusiastic. Another bad thing is that on the way from Atami Station to the hotel, you will pass by a heavenly burial ground, which is a bit unlucky~ Everything else is perfect~

I stayed for one night in early August with a child of 4 and 7 years old for Shirahama Ohama Beach in front of the hotel. The hotel on the beach is very convenient for bathing with children, but I felt that the line was better here. Check in immediately after the temperature check at the hotel entrance (the room key is received after 15 o'clock), free cloak & shower and dressing room & coin laundry is in the same area, so it becomes light It is connected from the entrance to the pool very close and is the best to move. It was convenient to go out directly from the pool to the sea in front of you, and there was a free hot spring shower that dropped sand in the pool when I returned from the sea. The only thing that is dissatisfied is the dining hall. There is no window on the mountain side of the first floor and the atmosphere like a large hall for the reception a long time ago. I thought this was perfect if I could see the sea on the top floor or the sea. The content of the meal was buffet. It was a buffet level of so-called ordinary resort hotels, but there were no bad or small types, and there was a live kitchen and it was usually delicious. I used it to dive with three companions. Because of the corona cherry blossoms, I didn't hit the search for a single room, and it was a fairly large room, and I made a reservation to make a social distance. The inner bath was written as being chlorine disinfected by circulation, but the smell of hot water is not known. There were sauna and water baths, and it was quite slow. The original is like a resort condominium, and the passage faces outdoors, but unless it is rained in the rain of the side hit, it is positive only for the noise like the corridor I felt it. I didn't have a meal, so I can't evaluate it there, but I think it is quite convenient to use it in a group of multiple people because there is a set of cooking equipment and a large refrigerator in the room. It is a big facility, but all the spaces are well air-conditioned and no negative points were found.
