We stayed at this hotel recently and really appreciated the stay. The stay actually started off bumpy with some misunderstanding of our reservation that had us cramped into a small room with no possibility of adding a roll-away. The young woman who checked us in said there was nothing she could do, so we took her for her word and proceeded to our room. When we got to our room, we realized that we would end up with a disastrous stay contrary to what we were expecting--a wonderful and serene one--as the room was way too small. When the bell person (Rajesh) brought our luggage, we informed him, that the room would not work for our family of four. Though it was not his responsibility per se, Rajesh immediately went to work to seek out any other options we could have to accompany us and, long story short, he helped us stay in a bigger room that was more appropriate--though considered a downgrade. The fact that a bell person would go out of his realm of responsibility to meet our needs was truly appreciated allowing us all to fully enjoy our stay. We ended up having dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and fully appreciated the friendliness and service of the restaurant staff as well as the healthy, delicious, and local foods that were served. There is no doubt we would return to stay there again thanks to Rajesh and his excellent customer service!

It is easy to understand because it is close to Karuizawa Station and is located on the main street. However, it is difficult to understand the entrance of the hotel, but I wondered if I should enter from the restaurant. Only standard double rooms are available for dogs. It's pretty narrow. It feels like a stylish business hotel. The bed is comfortable. There is a large dog gauge toilet sheet and a butt wipe. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, but they are large. I was interested in the toilet. Should I remove the toilet seat when cleaning? The amenities were in a cute cloth bag for two people, but there was no toothbrush in one cloth bag. There are 2 bottles of mineral water in the wine cellar. It's a pity that there is no pot. It would be nice to have a water server that can produce hot water without a pot. There are 2 coin laundry machines. Ice maker, juice and alcohol are sold by themselves. The restaurant is delicious, but the amount of dinner and morning is large, and the contents are covered, so it seems that you will get tired of staying for consecutive nights or using it frequently ... The taste is strong (good compatibility with alcohol) Even for people with small children I was there, but maybe my kids aren't likely to eat it. Dessert also has an adult taste. The restaurant is very cold near the entrance and on the window side and requires a coat. All the staff are kind. It is cheap considering the food and convenience for the price. Especially recommended for those who want to enjoy the whole of Karuizawa and enjoy Spanish cuisine. I want to use it again.

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

This time we stayed in a four-person cabin. The facilities in the cabin were pretty good, including air conditioning and a heater. When checking in and checking out, the service staff in the park will drive over quickly to help us handle our luggage and pick up and drop off guests.
On a rainy day when I checked in, a sunny doll was thoughtfully placed in the room.
Will come back if I have the chance.

Out of the world location with breathtaking views and stark fall colours all around. Sumptuous buffet breakfast though with limited choice for an Indian vegetarian. Luxurious rooms. Lavishly furnished hot spring bath area, complimentary during stay. Free bus shuttle every few minutes to the railway station and nearby important places. On the flip side, (a) lunch buffet in the hotel's restaurant was fully booked; (b) bell service involves long wait and we had to pull our heavy strollers half a km from the room to the foyer on an inclined path carpeted all along making the task very strenuous and tiring.

I really enjoyed my stay at this brand new hotel. Although it has been open for a couple of months, they have kept everything spotless. The lobby with open fire is beautiful and a comfortable area to have a drink and relax. The room itself was also incredibly clean and everything worked well including the WiFi. The hanten jackets were in the colours of the Ukranian flag which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant in the evening. The public bath was a nice place to soak after dinner. Service was good although it's clear the team was new and still training - I am sure this will change in time. Small criticim is there was no room service menu in the room. This was fine as it was on the TV but navigating to the menu needed Japanese skills. The architecture and general design is fantastic, as are the fittings and the carpets are just beautiful - same as all new IHG properties I think.

From our recent visit to the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel, we're excited to share the essence of this secluded gem. With its sprawling suites and gourmet dining options, the hotel is a sanctuary of comfort amidst the snowy splendor of Karuizawa. The experience is further elevated by the warmth of the staff and the blissful moments spent in the onsen. 😍So Good: Impeccable Cleanliness: The hotel's dedication to a pristine environment was evident and appreciated. Heartwarming Service: The staff's attentiveness and warmth made our stay delightful. Restful Onsen: The onsen provided a haven of relaxation, enhancing our retreat. Delectable Breakfast: The diverse breakfast options were a culinary delight each morning. 🙁Not So OK: Secluded Location: Its distance from the city and public transport requires some planning. Seasonal Crowds: Winter brings the beauty of snow but also high demand and prices. 👌Just OK: 👨🦲Zen Minimalism: The room's minimalist Zen decor may not resonate with those in search of traditional luxury. Standard Amenities: The facilities met our needs without exceeding expectations. Ski Area Access: While the hotel offers a shuttle to the ski area, there is still a walk involved to reach the ski gates, which might be a consideration for some guests. 💡 Tips and Recommendation: ♨Onsen Choices: Opt for the building with its own onsen for a private dip, or brave the open-air onsen for a magical winter experience. 🚘Transport Planning: While there's a shuttle service, having private transportation is convenient. Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: Leverage Bonvoy membership for enhanced stay experiences; it's worth signing up for. 👏Conclusion: Capturing the magic of the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel in mere words is a challenge; it's an experience that truly needs to be felt personally. It's a destination that may very well become your next must-visit retreat.

We stayed for 2 nights this time on our second stay. 1We stayed in a family room for one night but it was very comfortable with ample size to spend with family 3 people. From the balcony you can see the golf course and Mt. Asama surrounded by nature, and your heart is calm. The hotel here is great with hot springs in the annex. It is very pleasant to be soaked in a bathtub while watching Mt. Asama during the daytime with good weather. The breakfast buffet was firmly equipped with infection measures and I was able to eat with peace of mind. I like it so delicious that fruit juice is added. The hotel staff is soft and only 々 who greets you when you pass. I was able to stay very comfortable.

GGuest UserI like this hotel so much. It is a family villa for business. The operators should be a young couple, who are considerate and polite. The breakfast is also delicious. The only bad thing is that it is a little far away from the main attractions, but this hotel can help rent bicycles for 1,000 yen a day, which is very comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with all proper amenities. The atmosphere of the whole hotel was cozy, intimate, and quaint, with an interior as one might expect at a country hotel in England. The owner, Chris, very kindly gave us a ride to the train station as we went sightseeing on our first day as well as after we checked out. (Though the walk from Naka-Karuizawa Station isn't too bad if you're going by train; about 15 minutes.) The meals were excellent (breakfast and dinner). There's also a nice garden with lounge chairs where you can relax and take in the greenery. Also, check out the world map in the restaurant which has marked upon it the many countries Chris has visited and lived in, as well as photos from his travels. Another thing we really appreciated was the background music in the restaurant, mostly 60s and 70s British rock, and that the music was always at a low enough volume to allow proper conversation. (Too many places these days just blast the volume on the music.) We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Karuizawa.
GGuest UserThe loft suite is warm and cozy, the boss is very kind, and the location is very quiet. The room is on the upper and lower floors. The split level makes the activity area larger. Sleeping upstairs is quieter and less likely to be disturbed by people downstairs.
YYanchaoThe hotel is very good, especially the washing machine and dryer. The stadium is also good. The disadvantage is that it is too remote. All dinners and lunches must be booked 3 days in advance, which is very inconvenient for us, and it is very difficult to communicate in English. However, the room is still very new and large.
GGuest UserCost performance is the best hotel. The price is middle class, but the quality is only a luxury hotel. So please stay for a while. I write the improvement points afterwards, but it is a level that you don't have to hesitate to stay because it is trivial. The first is that there are few amenities. There is no cosmetic water or body cream system in particular. It is not possible because it is a recent flow, but I think it is the best if there is. The second is hot spring. The facilities and atmosphere are the best, but it is difficult to sit slowly because the water flow in the bathtub is strong. It's flowing sideways. The staff is perfect if you have another step of hospitality. If you carry out training like Hyatt, I think it's worth it even if it's 20% plus at a price.
GGuest UserThe bathroom and toilet were clean.
I felt the bed was a little hard (although this may vary from person to person).
The direction of the air conditioner couldn't be changed, so depending on where the bed was, it hit you directly.
The sound of the doors of the other guests echoed a lot, so I think the walls are thin.
However, it was spacious and reasonably clean, so if you're just staying overnight,
it's totally fine!
AAnonymous UserThe property is very charming and the photos shown are true to actual. Location is a bit far from the station so best to arrange the shuttle bus service or take a cab.
Room is neat and cosy and the private onsen is a nice bonus.
Breakfast is lovely and the fresh vegetables were amazing however the dinner was a let down as it wasn’t served in the restaurant. Instead we were provided with a voucher for redemption at the bar. The food is just average, beef was not very fresh, and your clothes and hair reek of smell after dinner as they cook the food right at the bar.
GGuest UserI will go to ski for one night in a hurry and make a reservation immediately. Stay in one room alone and 8500 yen Hotel and facilities, but if you think it is a general business hotel, it feels about 6500 yen, but I think it is a range that is convinced if you think about the location. Overall clean and clean. I tried to ask for a buffet breakfast at the time of local check-in, but when I arrived at the site, I was surprised by ”sold out”. Even if I looked at the breakfast venue the next morning, it was a little disappointing.
LLingLungThe hotel's location is not far from JR Karuizawa Station. There are multiple parking spaces for self-driving tours. The environment is quiet and tranquil. There is also a hot spring. The price/performance ratio is very high. We arrived early to store our luggage. When we checked in, our luggage had been put in the room. It was very nice.
堇堇茉Although it is far from the station, it is very convenient to have someone to pick it up by car. In the morning, you will be booked with you to determine the time to go.
The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around.
Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok
The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone
I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning.
Reservations must be made in advance (Japanese and English)
Waiting for pick-up at the general parking lot at Nakaruizawa Station, there will be signs on the car
