My cottage 830 is very inconvenient. On 8 and 9 Nov 2023, it is completely dark after 17:00 pm. On arrival at Karuizawa Station, I need to go to the Prince Shopping Plaza and take the free shuttle bus to the hotel front office. After checking in, I need to get a ticket and wait for the shuttle to take me to my room. There is free cottage shuttle every 15 minutes to take guests to the hotel front office. In that building, there are restaurants and a convenient shop.

I really enjoyed my stay at this brand new hotel. Although it has been open for a couple of months, they have kept everything spotless. The lobby with open fire is beautiful and a comfortable area to have a drink and relax. The room itself was also incredibly clean and everything worked well including the WiFi. The hanten jackets were in the colours of the Ukranian flag which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant in the evening. The public bath was a nice place to soak after dinner. Service was good although it's clear the team was new and still training - I am sure this will change in time. Small criticim is there was no room service menu in the room. This was fine as it was on the TV but navigating to the menu needed Japanese skills. The architecture and general design is fantastic, as are the fittings and the carpets are just beautiful - same as all new IHG properties I think.

露天風呂付き客室に２泊しました。旦那と２人では広すぎホテルの夕食は高いので外食するつもりでしたが、レンジもあるし大きな冷蔵庫もあったし近くのスーパーがあったので2食とも快適な部屋で頂きました。 1つ言うならば寝具がベットでは無かった事で、畳だとちょっと硬かった。息子夫婦の露天風呂付き客室はベットでした。また軽井沢に行ったら泊まりたいです。

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

It is easy to understand because it is close to Karuizawa Station and is located on the main street. However, it is difficult to understand the entrance of the hotel, but I wondered if I should enter from the restaurant. Only standard double rooms are available for dogs. It's pretty narrow. It feels like a stylish business hotel. The bed is comfortable. There is a large dog gauge toilet sheet and a butt wipe. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, but they are large. I was interested in the toilet. Should I remove the toilet seat when cleaning? The amenities were in a cute cloth bag for two people, but there was no toothbrush in one cloth bag. There are 2 bottles of mineral water in the wine cellar. It's a pity that there is no pot. It would be nice to have a water server that can produce hot water without a pot. There are 2 coin laundry machines. Ice maker, juice and alcohol are sold by themselves. The restaurant is delicious, but the amount of dinner and morning is large, and the contents are covered, so it seems that you will get tired of staying for consecutive nights or using it frequently ... The taste is strong (good compatibility with alcohol) Even for people with small children I was there, but maybe my kids aren't likely to eat it. Dessert also has an adult taste. The restaurant is very cold near the entrance and on the window side and requires a coat. All the staff are kind. It is cheap considering the food and convenience for the price. Especially recommended for those who want to enjoy the whole of Karuizawa and enjoy Spanish cuisine. I want to use it again.

This time I went to Qingjingze with my friends. The travel agency recommended this hotel as the most convenient. It’s also very close to OUUTLET if you want to go shopping. You can also take a bath in the hotel. Next time I will bring my husband with me.

The hotel can provide pick-up and drop-off, which we didn't know until the day we left. The waiter asked us if we needed to be sent to the station. There were 6 of us in the group and we had a lot of luggage, and the hotel sent it to the station for free. I guess you can call the hotel and ask them to pick you up when you get to the Shinkansen station. If you are walking, walk south for 13 minutes after exiting the Shinkansen station and turn right for 2 minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel is in a forest, and there is a church next to it. The scenery nearby is very good, and there are three choices for breakfast. Very close to the old Karuizawa sightseeing and dining street. The hotel is a bit old, but the service is still very good.

The room itself was neat and clean, with sufficient space to hang clothes/coats. The bedroom area had tatami mats and were a nice touch to the room decor. Check-in can be done on your own, with an English menu, but there are always staff around at the reception area to assist. There is a communal area on the first floor and a cafe. There are games (Jenga, UNO, etc.) throughout the indoor communal area and there was complementary popcorn available in the evening. The indoor communal area also has a pingpong table. The outdoor communal area was nicely decorated with cushions, throw blankets and had a campfire of sorts in the evenings (trip was during early winter). The laundry room, a vending machine, water dispenser and ice dispenser were all together in a room on the 2nd floor, easy to access and also clean. There was a shuttle bus that goes from the hotel to the nearby onsen, bus terminal, skating rink and a different hotel that’s next to Karuizawa Kogen Church. A potential downside is the distance from the main train station, but it wasn’t difficult to take a local bus to the bus terminal and switch to the shuttle. Hotel is within walking distance to Harunire Terrace with great restaurants. Overall, the vibe of the area was more peaceful and relaxing, and the hotel was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind. It was an amazing stay!

The hotel is a small European-style building located on the main street of the town. There is a beautiful garden and parking garage opposite the tourist association. The room is very large in Japan with a balcony, and the upstairs can be heated indoors and open air. The front desk of the hotel can communicate with people in English. The breakfast variety is more than the self-service form. The price of 2,500 yen is not cheap. The hotel bicycle rental is more expensive. There is a rental shop next to 100 meters and the car is particularly light and easy to ride.

The first stop of this trip to Japan was impeccable. The hotel is located in the villa area of Nakakaruizawa, close to Hoshino Onsen, a small town on Elm Street. There are only three villas in the entire hotel, each with its own characteristics. BBQ campfires are available. A lot of the hotel's construction was done by the manager himself, and he was very attentive. The stones in the courtyard were all volcanic stones transported back by the truckload. The manager provides pick-up and drop-off services, and there are many unique surrounding short-distance routes to recommend. Remember to make an appointment in advance for consultation. It is said that the barbecue area will be built next year, and I will still choose Mori Four Seasons Villa when I go to Karuizawa.
