Hotels near Bealey Avenue, Christchurch

I really like the convenience of this hotel. It's super easy to get to all the attractions, many of them within walking distance. The Arts Centre is right across the street, and there are plenty of food and accommodation options within a kilometer. Plus, the Riverside Market is nearby. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Christchurch. It's also incredibly clean, and the bathrooms are great!

My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

Great sized room and was very handy to be able to do some washing and have a kitchenette. Location was good, close enough to city centre but not right in the middle! We found the shower bath to be unsafe to use as a shower.. it was very high to step over, uneven to stand on and extremely slippery. My partner slipped and slightly fell which was a close call. A non slip mat would be handy in future for sure. Other than that we were kept awake by hoons cruising loudly down the road all night, but not much the hotel can do about that so more of a side note.

A great place to stay! Located right in the city centre, and most importantly the staff are so nice and keen to get you all sorted and comfy. Will definitely book again.

Located near the fun Regent;s street with lots of restaurants and bars, near the convention center and cathedral, but a bit farther away from the Riverside market etc (10-15 min walk). Staff is friendly, kitchen is really big and has everything, with lost of fridges and storage space. I booked the room for myself, it was very comfortable. They provide big towels, which is nice. No hair drier though. Right next to bus stop to airport.

Great location right in the heart of the city having everything by walking distance. Available a parking spot for 19NZD / night but I would suggest to park the car for free in the public parking spot available around the hotel, there are plenty and free from 5pm to 9 am. The room we choose was too small, I wouldn’t take it again because you can’t even open the luggage. Breakfast nothing fancy but you have the basic you need. Staff very helpful, friendly and professional. I would choose it again but booking a better room.

I enjoy this hotel the people who work there are friendly as and welcoming has everything you need for a trip away from home.

They probably upgraded our room; this is a two-bedroom suite. It feels like coming home; there's a kitchen and dining area, so cooking simple meals shouldn't be a problem. Thank you! There's a private parking space.

good location. with free parking slot. the room is big. only one point, the room is at 2nd floor which if it is at 1st floor that will be better.

This is the last stop of my trip to the South Island of New Zealand and I am back in Christchurch for the last night. I chose this Salerno Motel because I had to fly back to Auckland in the morning and return the rental car. When I checked in, I saw that the front desk was in China. The people are very friendly and the room is well-equipped. Although the furniture is old, it is still clean and comfortable. The best thing is that there is a spa bath in the bathroom. It is really a treat to take a bath in the spa at the end of a trip that lasts more than ten days. Happy! There are also many delicious food nearby. It only takes ten minutes to walk, which is quite convenient. This time I found a Thai and Southeast Asian restaurant, which is very delicious and worth recommending!
