Hotels in Black Dragon Pond, Lijiang

Exceeded expectations. Very new hotel, very clean, and high tech. Room size was good, toilet with automated wc. Do note, though, that the glass separating wc and shower is transparent; not convenient for 2 people to use at the same time. The location is in-between Black Dragon Lake and the Water Wheel - both within 5 mins walk. Service was very polite, with complimentary afternoon tea, fruits and pastry.

A cosy and comfortable B&B, with lots of amenities inside the rooms. They offered airport pickup, a simple but filling breakfast daily, afternoon tea daily, and a dessert soup daily. Staff is very attentive towards your needs and will help you plan your travel itinerary. They helped us book a private tour of Yulong Snow Mountain making it a really hassle free travel experience for us. A big advantage of this accomodation is that it is located right next door to Heilongtan Park which is incredibly scenic and we took many photos by drone at sunrise and afternoon. The B&B is located a comfortable and quiet walk upstream from the Old City of Lijiang making it super convenient to visit the city. Some cons to this B&B is that for the Family Suite which we stayed in there was no doors separating the one bathroom and main bedroom, and there was a bit of noise coming from the AC at night, although they did provide us with earplugs.

A great designer B&B near Dayan Ancient Town in Lijiang, very tasteful. The hotel is located in the middle of the mountain next to the ancient city, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. The room faces the snow-capped mountains, and you can see it when you open the window in the morning. The room is large, with a 2-meter-wide bed and many sofas. Clean and hygienic, with complete facilities. All equipped with Dyson hair dryers. The staff at the B&B are very attentive and considerate. After staying for three nights, you will receive afternoon tea and good night sweet soup. The breakfast is also quite rich. It's a very nice B&B hotel.

This hotel is really full of details! ! ! Super recommended! ! ! The handsome guy at the front desk helped us upgrade the room for free, which was really great! The snow-capped mountains in the picture were taken on the roof. Every part of the roof garden is carefully designed and has a variety of beautiful and succulents to enjoy. Intelligent voice control in the room, heating toilet, large sofa, humidifier, air conditioning are very powerful, breakfast is also super choice. Our room shower was changed, and the hotel immediately sent someone to change us to a new one. The next day, I went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain because of the delay in the queue. After communicating with the hotel, we temporarily checked out and the service was full.

The location can also be near the Red Sun Square and very close to the ancient city, but the room is not very soundproof. It will be a bit noisy, but I wore earplugs and overcame the hygiene problem. I don’t know where the problem is. The sheets I slept with were itchy and didn’t fall asleep. The next day, I started at four o’clock. The bed has to see Rizhao Jinshan 😷😷😷 Before leaving, I opened the single look and there were blood stains. It was disgusting. The bath towels inside were also very yellow and soft. It was not very hygienic. The room did not have mineral water and electric mosquito coils. The hair dryer needed to go to the front desk to get it. It was quite troublesome. I was bitten and woke up in the middle of the night. I could go to the front desk the next day. When the phone will be turned off, it is quite tired to be able to go up the stairs to ask for things by yourself.

Because I don’t want to live in a homestay, I feel that other chain hotels are very shabby and have been selected for a long time. I finally chose a new one. The sanitation is relatively clean and the environment is very beautiful. The room configuration is very new. I heard from the waiter that it was newly opened in early 2023. The room is small and intelligent control. Shout out a small air-conditioning curtain lights can be automatically opened, the bathroom toilet is a smart toilet, and also helped us upgrade the room for free. At first, the room was wrong, and immediately helped us replace it and sent a breakfast coupon. Its location is quite good, very close to Heilongtan Park, Going north, on the right hand side is Heilongtan Park, which is also very close to the ancient city of Lijiang. It takes about 15 minutes to arrive. There are also many delicious shops around.

Stayed for three days and the experience was really good! ! The boss helped us upgrade the room type for free on the first day. The environment of the homestay is very comfortable (sit down in the small courtyard, the door does not want to go out, who knows) and the boss is particularly good, because we live in the second store, there is still a distance from the foot of the mountain, but it will not feel inconvenient. The sightseeing car of the hotel is always ready. On the first night of the stay, the boss also arranged a barbecue in the small courtyard. It was not too comfortable. Finally, I wanted to praise the boss again. Any travel problems can be solved. I can arrange for you to buy special products in photo shoots. In the future, if you have friends to travel to Lijiang, you must Amway Sanxu ～ and hope to have a chance to come again in the future! !

As international travellers who don't speak Chinese well, our first experience of Lijiang was made wonderful thanks to our decision to stay at Dublin Inn. Of all the hotels we stayed in throughout our trip, Dublin Inn offered an experience that rivals five-star hotels. First of all, its location outside the North entrance is perfect for those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet after a busy day of exploring Lijiang Ancient Town. It is also a 5-7 minute pleasant walk along the river to the Black Dragon Pond scenic area. We enjoyed free airport pick up and free room upgrade (although we noticed that all their rooms featured five-star comfort and thoughtful touches for travellers). Our suite on the third floor had his and hers sinks, a separate bathtub and rain shower, an electronic bidet toilet, a designer hair dryer, and Perricone MD toiletries. We enjoyed daily in-room minibar, traditional semi-buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening dessert treats in the inn's cafe and reading lounge, chatting with fellow travellers. We also loved the tranquil stone garden courtyard with its misty Koi pond. What stood out the most for us were the hospitable Inn staff: we were warmly greeted like old friends over Yunnan Pu'erh tea tasting and rose flower cakes by the reception lady and butler Xiao Hai (小海). Even before we arrive, the Inn staff proactively contacted us via Weixin chat to confirm airport pick up, our meal dietary requirements and to offer information help for travel planning. Throughout our stay, they kept in touch with us through Weixin for daily meal services, housekeeping, evening turndown services and hotel activities like aromatherapy candle making. Butler Xiao Hai was especially friendly and sincere in his interaction with guests. He offered free old town guided visits, arranged Lijiang daytrips and chartered a great driver at reasonable cost for our onward travel to Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La City. He would stop to ask how our day went and gave insider tips for sightseeing and shopping. We highly recommend Dublin Inn to international travellers who want to experience Lijiang on a more intimate level. We only hope we can return soon to the warmth and hospitality of the Inn. The room was clean, the bouquets of flowers were placed, and the fragrance was very elegant. The B&B was very close to the ancient city and it only took about five minutes to walk to the waterwheel, which was quite good. The guy at the front desk and the lady boss were very enthusiastic. He explained to us interesting places and even made tea for us. It was really a pleasure to visit Lijiang😀 I will book here next time when I come to Lijiang. Highly recommended🫶🏻

The style of his house is Naxi style, mainly modern retro style, so the design of the door is a locked one, which is interesting, but it is really not easy to use. You have to lock the door when you enter and open the door. There is also a threshold that is easy to trip over. 5. The sink is too high. Although I am very short, my companion is of normal male height and feels that the sink is too high. I suggest it be improved, otherwise it will really become a decoration. 6. It is recommended if you only stay for a day or two.
