Casa CAMÉLIA

We just loved our stay at Casa Camelia. We found it a bit tricky to get to on the first day. There are abbey doors immediately beside the entrance, so if you see them, you have arrived! A skinny road continues down from there. Interaction with the front desk was exemplary. The room (Hortensia) was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had an eating area leading out to the garden. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was immaculate, including the comfortable bathroom with an excellent shower. We appreciated the personal note and fresh flowers upon arrival. We sat in the garden and drank wine amidst the lovely fountain, flowers, and pathways leading to a spectacular view of Porto. We made friends with the local cat who loved to pose for the camera while he/she nimbly walked along the walls abutting the precipice. The views and this garden are absolutely breathtaking. We found a grocery store not too far away, as well as a good laundromat. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when we return to Porto!

The hotel was beautiful, as was the garden. The room was very comfortable and a good size. The service was fantastic, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Porto is such a beautiful place to visit. We visited in November and the weather was great Many thanks to all the team

Highly recommend Casa Camelia. Just book it now. Amazing small boutique hotel walking distance to many of Portos historic sites and the riverfront. Excellent breakfast and coffee machine. Literally best coffee machine. Concierge made the beat restaurant recommendations. Rooms are spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Beautiful gardens.

This place is pretty bad. *********** site does not have description that indicates - this place does not have air conditioning. In 80 F it was impossible to stay in this location. Owner was not friendly at all and said that he will charge entire amount, although we have refused to stay there. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Greedy, arrogant manager. Absolutely no human skills.

Amazing location , Raffael and Corrine are the perfect hosts and will bend over backwards to make anybody’s stay perfect. (I know, because they did for us). Parking is a bit tricky if you have a big car, having said this, Raffael is a whizz at helping you past the narrow bits.

An incredible stay at Casa Camelia - we were there 4 nightss - every moment perfect. Spectactular views of Porto & the Duoro River. Magical garden that we relaxed in with wine and cheese, and a gorgeous room, comfortable bed, luxurious bath and space galore! It was a welcome respite from busy days of travel, dinner and wine. The hosts, Raffael & Corrine, were lovely, as was their concierge, Brenda. When back in Porto, we will definitely stay here again!
