Ibis properties in Nice

The location is convenient for those flying from Nice to Paris, and then home. There's no fridge (I wanted to bring back cheese and sausage)), so you end up buying it at the last stop before departure). I agree that Nice isn't about the food, but you can't exactly treat yourself to the specialties from Grenoble and Avignon at home if you visited them a week ago.

Conveniently located near the train station. The hotel sign was quite noticeable upon exiting the station. A short walk and a right turn led us to a long escalator, which took us up to the reception for check-in. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it easy to get around and find daily necessities. The common area had a microwave and hot water available. In our room, the shower stall was quite small, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor, but it dried up within a few hours.

Ibis Nice-Center Notre-Dame really exceeded my expectations for an Ibis property. The daily breakfasts (while the items didn’t change much) had an adequate spread with very lovely cut fruit, pastries, excellent nuts and seeds selection with yogurt and an egg boiling station which you could make eggs as how you would like them. Their coffee and tea machines were excellent and they even had a cocktail hour with free pastries and bonbons in the late afternoon if you ever wanted a quick snack. The location was excellent. The hotel was on a perpendicular street to the Main Street with the tram line and shopping streets. Lots of eateries around and proximity to the train station meant we were able to go for day trips to Cannes and Monaco with very little hassle. The bathroom was very spacious and I loved that our room had 2 balconies - one in the main room and one opens in the bathroom which helped to keep it dry and not humid after a hot shower. View from our room looked into the next residential building but we didn’t mind that. I often sat on the balcony to enjoy my hot coffee in the cool mornings. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and look forward to retuning in the years to come.
