Hilton Garden Inn Norman

There is hot water in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel. The bath is also very convenient and quiet. The bed is too soft.
Days Inn by Wyndham Norman

I arrived at last minute for a week while my original long term stay place is unavailable. The pictures online don’t show the true colors. The smell of old smoke stench is very strong in non smoking room. I’m a smoker and was even grossed out. The couch was so stained, cracked walls, the sheets appeared clean but comforter stained n cigarette burns. The bathroom was alright. No cleaner than a typical rest area bathroom. The refrigerator was filthy and barely kept cool at the highest setting. I did not see any bugs, altho I could see outside thru the side of AC unit. Just overall gross, I checked out after 1 night.

A very good value for money hotel, breakfast is also free. The parking lot is also free, and the hardware in the house is very good. It is a newly opened hotel. Air conditioning and cooling effect is very good!
Super 8 by Wyndham Norman

This building is old but very well managed and clean. The bed is comfortable. We have been staying here for years when visiting family and will continue to do so. We recommend this as a comfortable and economical lodging.
Travelodge Inn & Suites by Wyndham Norman

The room was better than the exterior and lobby of the hotel initially promised. Updated furniture, and lighting with outlets for USB charging. It was actually good smelling and clean. A/C worked fine and it sure was a hot day! I did stay in a ”no pets” and non-smoking room, not sure if all of the rooms are updated. Mine had a walk-in shower with a glass door, not a bathtub, which I thought was great. The lobby could definitely use an update to be more welcoming. Check-in is after 2:00 pm - I was offered to get in an hour earlier for an extra $12 (which I declined). I came back an hour later and checked in with a friendly (friendlier than the first) staff member. $60 deposit required, cash or card. This is, of course, a 2-star hotel, so don't expect 4-star features or Wyndham resort comfort level. No fancy coffee or such, but, hey, there are several coffee shops in the vicinity. This is right by i-35, many restaurants, Walmart Supercenter, and a public library. It's some 15 minutes from the OU campus - although it is only a 3-mile ride, there are just SO many traffic lights and stop signs on the way, Norman is a busy town, or should I say city? I did give it a 4/5 rating, mainly for low price, cleanliness, and the updated room.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Norman Hotel & Conference Center
4.4/5101 Reviews
First off, I am a Hilton Honors member and always choose to stay at Embassy Suites when I can. Usually I am a big fan of Embassy Suites. And I've stayed at this location a few years ago and loved it so I was super excited to get to stay there again for my conference. But I was so disappointed. I got an ”upgraded” premier room on the 10th floor and it was is terrible condition. Room # 1010. When first walking in, we noticed the carpet was frayed between the living area and the kitchen area that had tile. I didn't realize that not only was the carpet frayed, but the tack strip was exposed. My second day there I was walking to the bedroom in bare feet and stepped on an exposed tack and poked a hole in my heel. (Picture attached) Super painful and even made it bleed! Other issues with attached pictures: Bathroom - dirty with ”gunk” on cabinet front and nasty, sticky hair dryer. Bedroom - Holes & stains in bed skirt. Sheer curtains were singed/scorched and sun faded. Corner in bedroom has paper peeling and bubbling. This hotel isn't even very old, so I'm so shocked by the condition of an ”upgraded” room. I actually paid extra for this room. I feel that management should refund me the upgrade costs and discount the price I paid. The breakfast both mornings was great and the pool was nice. The hot tub looked yucky around the edges so we didn't get in it, but did enjoy the pool. The evening drink reception was nice although other Embassy Suites serve snacks with the drinks. If I have another conference at this hotel, I will definitely find a different place to sleep.
