Hotels in Rawai Beach, Phuket

Chanakarn Resort Rawai s worth for it's money and the quality of the stay is equivalent to a 5 star hotel. There is a public swimming pool right outside of the room and the service is amazing. Will definitely recommend international travellers to this resort.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days between location changes. What a wonderful hotel! The staff at the reception were very pleasant, as were the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day, and both shower and beach towels were changed daily. They provided 2 bottles of water every day, even if the previous ones hadn't been consumed. The room has everything you need: air conditioning, a TV, a tea set, a kettle, a refrigerator, umbrellas, a safe, an electronic clock, and an insect repellent. The bathroom is fully stocked with toiletries: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, dental kits, cotton pads/swabs, and shower caps. The pool isn't deep, but it's very clean (it's cleaned every morning). Around the pool, there are sun loungers, umbrellas, and plenty of trees, so you can find shade and cool off even on the hottest days. There aren't many people by the pool, so you're sure to get some relaxation! The location is quite convenient. Just around the corner from the hotel, you'll find a 7/11, a currency exchange, and massage services. The beach is about a 10-minute walk, but be prepared for many boats in the water, ready to take you to nearby islands. However, the Thais aren't pushy, and the boats don't cause any discomfort. If you prefer, you can take a taxi to a more secluded beach where there are no boats, but you can rent kayaks and go snorkeling. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone; we will definitely be back!

The best hotel iv been to honestly , i love the fact they have beach club inside, the restaurant is opened the whole day , pool , music , nice drinks , clean rooms , and it’s big , they have a lot of activities!! Iv done my muay thai class there , Yoga class , Breathing class , you can do many things , for solo travelers they have also a hostel , and big clean kitchen , I FORGOT THE GYM !!!! A big gym ! I truly enjoyed

The owner is from Beijing and is very friendly. The room is excellent, very new, and spotless. During the off-season, booking a twin room is a fantastic deal, allowing you to comfortably sleep in a large bed. The small courtyard is also charming. The pool isn't huge, but it's more than enough for kids to play in. There's a washing machine in the gym area, plenty of hangers in the room, and even a drying rack on the balcony, which is super convenient after a day out at sea. The location is a bit tucked away, so I recommend arriving during the day. Right at the alley's entrance, you'll find a Tops convenience store and a longtail boat rental spot. It's 1.2 km from Rawai Seafood Market and 800 meters from WeCafe and a small shopping center. We were lucky enough to catch a big tide and went crabbing on the beach, seeing many crabs I'd never encountered before!

This is an apartment hotel, and I really liked it. It's located on Rawai Beach, but since there's boat parking there, I wouldn't recommend swimming. However, there's a fantastic beach, Nai Harn, just a 7-minute bike ride away. There are tons of cafes, and the area is quiet compared to Patong; everything closes around 10-11 PM. Currency exchange offices close after 10 PM, so I'd advise exchanging money earlier. There are TopS stores that accept UnionPay cards without a fee for any purchase amount (unlike 7-Eleven, where you need to spend at least 200 baht, and other places require 500 baht). If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. There's also a fish market nearby. Having a kitchen in the room is super convenient, but since we only stayed two nights, there were no dishes, utensils, or pans. Now for the downsides, though I don't want to nitpick, I'll mention them for service improvement: there were no face towels, and no bar soap. To wash your hands, you have to awkwardly (and even unsafely) reach for the dispenser behind the shower glass (yes, by the way, there's a bathtub in the room). Of course, you can buy a bar of soap – it's cheap. But if you're just passing through, it's not always convenient to buy extra things, search for them, and carry them around. A microwave, frying pan, forks, knives, and small plates were also missing. If it's an apartment-style hotel, it would have been nice to at least fry some eggs for two nights. But overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives: the corridors are like a gallery of Buddhist-style frescoes; you admire them every time you walk by. The pool is excellent, and there are two waffle robes provided. The airport bus stop is right outside. We chatted with some other guests who have stayed here multiple times. I highly recommend it to everyone!

This resort is located in Rawai, and it’s a great choice if you’re looking to stay away from the chaos of Patong. We booked a room with direct pool access, and it was absolutely worth it, especially in Thailand’s warm weather. We also really enjoyed the fresh coconut juice and mango sticky rice from the small kiosk just outside the hotel. It’s very convenient, with a convenience store nearby as well perfect for quick snacks. The beach area has a lovely atmosphere, especially the chairs under the trees, which make for a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy the view. However, swimming isn’t ideal as the water is a bit murky. It also seemed like some drainage from nearby resorts flows directly into the sea, which was disappointing.

A cozy, charming hotel. Most ground-floor rooms have a separate entrance, which is very convenient. The staff are friendly and always smiling. The room condition is about a 4 out of 5, a renovation wouldn't hurt. Towels were provided and changed every other day, and two bottles of water were brought daily. However, both the bedding and towels looked like they'd seen better days (not their first wash). Since the hotel is not far from Rawai Beach's first line, where there are cafes and loud music, it can be a bit noisy in the evenings. Another plus is that the hotel has its own restaurant across the street where you can have free breakfast. The food is tasty, but if you eat there constantly, you might find cheaper options elsewhere. Though, crossing a six-lane road every time isn't ideal...

Pros: 1. Room cleaning: The service was excellent and efficient. Rooms were cleaned both in the morning and evening. If the 'do not disturb' sign was on all day, a note was left under the door. 2. Breakfast: Whether we went at 7 AM or 11 AM, there was always a full spread. Fresh pastries, egg dishes, etc. Nothing extraordinary, but you definitely won't leave hungry. 3. Hotel app: You can do everything through it – book spa appointments, request towels, order cocktails by the pool, and more. 4. Pools: They are fantastic, with a very comfortable temperature and always few people. Cons: 1. Some design genius decided it would be a great idea to put a glass partition from the bathroom directly next to the bed (see photo). Am I wrong in assuming that if I were on vacation with my parents, for example, I'd have to lie in bed and watch my mom or dad showering? 2. One evening, we had a power outage (affecting the entire hotel). It lasted about 5 hours. While power was restored to many other hotel buildings after 2 hours, ours remained without electricity. This was late at night, and it was impossible to sleep because the air conditioning wasn't working. I called reception and even went there in person multiple times that night, only to hear excuses that the power would be back on in 10-20 minutes. Ultimately, we didn't get a room where we could sleep until 2 AM! Essentially, I spent half the night trying to resolve this issue with hotel staff. 3. Insects: The hotel is located in a green area, and they do treat the premises for insects. However, the entrance doors have several-centimeter gaps where geckos would crawl in (see photo). Also, the air conditioning unit has an open connection to the outside, allowing a large American cockroach to fly in, which we couldn't get rid of. After our complaints, we were given an electric fumigator, then moved to another room, but found another gecko inside. It wasn't until the third room (around 2 AM) that we found one free of insects. 4. The hotel is undergoing renovations. While details are provided in the app and it didn't really bother anyone, a part of the spa was closed when I wanted to use it. Regarding the location: We left the hotel every day and always had to call a taxi. However, I can't call this a 'con' because we knew about it beforehand and deliberately sought a quiet hotel (which it truly is – quiet and peaceful).

This was my favorite hotel of the trip! The location is fantastic, right on Rawai Beach, and there are so many charming beachfront restaurants along the strip. My kids absolutely loved the pool and spent ages playing in it. It's also a great spot for taking photos!
