Best Hotels in Potowa

We stayed at the Kena Beach hotel between December 19 and 29, 2023. The hotel and the garden are very beautiful, clean and well maintained. The rooms are large and offer all the conditions. The staff is very friendly and well trained. We also celebrated Christmas at this hotel. Everything was wonderful and well organized by the hotel manager. Everyone was wonderful but Elizabeth, George, Grace, Ramadhani and Khalfan made our holiday perfect. The food was very good and very carefully prepared by the chef. We had many fruits and delicious sweets prepared by Chef. The service was impeccable. Also the recreational activities were great thanks to Kani and Momo from Oclub, who were sensational. The hotel's private beach is wonderful, supervised and well maintained by the hotel staff. Mr. Kombo, who lives right in Matemwe village, organized some memorable trips for us. We want to return to Zanzibar and obviously, we will spend our vacation at this hotel again. We recommend the hotel to everyone who wants a perfect and peaceful vacation.

OMG this place is truly the embodiment of luxury without being stuffy or pretentious. The location is paradise, on the ocean, with lovely sunrise and sunset views. The attention to detail in the check-in process and decor is magnificent. The food choices are exceptional and despite there being many food and drinks options, everything actually tastes good. The staff make the experience though. They were all so helpful and genuinely kind. By far, this was one of my best resort stays ever

Everything was perfect, I didn't expect it… very clean, comfortable beds and the rooms are beautiful, not like in the photos because they have renovated… comfortable sunbeds on the beach, always clean towels, excellent food at the restaurant. I recommend it, I loved it.

If you are choosing a place to enjoy your holidays, getting away from crowd and enjoy peaceful moments, it’s definitely a right place for you. Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Food in hotel restaurant is excellent, they offer different menu for lunch and dinner. Verify options for breakfast buffet, you will never feel bored for their food. Hotel offers yoga class on the morning daily except Sunday. Family or solo can also start with a “ Good morning “. There is a swimming pool, small gym room, different ball games for visitors to chill. Hotel is also connected with different Partners, no need to worry about the day trip prior arrival. They can plan everything for you including stone town visit, prison island , snorkelling. We just enjoy our time during our stay.

Very good resort. Facilities are top quality and well-maintained. Food was very yummy, although breakfast could offer more variety for a 5-star hotel (e.g. there was no smoked salmon for breakfast - I consider salmon to be standard at 5-star hotels catering to international clientele). Staff are well-trained and very professional. The resort also offers spa services as well as tour bookings, but we did not avail of these. For our travel dates the all-inclusive package on trip.com was by far the best value for money compared to booking directly or through any other website. One potential area for improvement is the provision of a mini rack on the balcony/veranda where guests can hang up wet clothes after a tour - would be a nice thing, which I've seen at some other resorts, as some guests just want their clothes to dry, not necessarily washed.

Jafferji Beach Retreat Hotel is an amazing place for you and your family and/or partner to relax and enjoy. The location is unbelievable, right next to a beautiful sandy beach. The activities offered are snorkelling and diving, but you can also organise one-day trips to other parts of the island, as well. In the hotel itself, you can enjoy incredibly good and fresh food. The pool is quite nice, not very big but not too small, either. There's a small spa where the kind beautician/masseuse will offer a whole variety of treatments. Maurizio the manager and all his staff are very nice and super available. Mr Munisi, Witness, Tumaini, Margareth and all the others will always be there to help with a big smile. They will make sure you feel at home! I honestly couldn't recommend the hotel enough, it is a 4+ stars hotel experience at the price of a 3 stars. Amazing value for the money.

There are very few Chinese here, most Europeans. It is very big and beautiful. The rooms are also very large. There are balconies and bathtubs. The decoration style is very modern. There are more than a dozen houses without elevators. They are like a scenic spot, in fact they are. In this way, you should bring a bracelet after you come in. The facilities in the hotel and the swimming pool can be used. All meals are included, and unlimited drinks and beverages are included. It is a good place for leisure and vacation.

We would like to thank this beautiful hotel for a wonderful 5 days of rest. Crazyly beautiful views, excellent staff, attentive attitude!
