The Tallison Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"First impression was great. The hotel lobby is large and inviting, has a bar/restaurant on site. There is a really nice outdoor courtyard with ample seating. The gym is exceptional: Peletons, free weights, machines, elliptical and treadmills. The pool is also beautiful. The location is very good, close to many restaurants and stores, and in a business parkway with walking trails. The area feels very safe. First impression of the room was very good as well, that is until we had some time in there, and even worse had our first of several sleepless nights. The issues we encountered: 1. A toilet that continuously ran. 2 an A/C unit is very loud (enough so that it woke me up when it would turn on, the vent is above the beds and blows forcefully in the direction of the bed which is very uncomfortable). 3) A shower that leaked puddles of water all over the floor anytime we would use it. And then some smaller issues, which in and of themselves are nor a big deal but just add to the impression that this hotel is lacking… 4) Empty shower gel dispenser in bathroom, asked housekeeping to refill smd they said they didn’t have any. 5) A handheld makeup mirror in the bathroom that literally fell apart and almost shattered when I Picked it up, 6) not very clean… especially the shower, staining, etc , vents very dusty 7) a bunch of burnt out lightbulbs in room 8) no hairdryer, had to request one. I reported all of rhese issues to the front desk, the maintenance man came up to fix the toilet and replace lightbulbs. Housekeeping was supposed to come and deal with mirror but that never happened, someone was also supposed to come and deal with the leaking shower and that also never happened… Also was told nothing could be done about the A/C. So here I am, 2am on night 3 and still getting very little sleep. Honestly contemplating checking out early and changing hotels. This hasn’t been the greatest experience."
