Beach Hotels in Santorini

Wow what an absolutely gem. Where do I start? There’s so many positive things to say I don’t know where to start. My husband booked this hotel at the last minute a couple days before departure. The hotel organised our pick up from the airport which was a stunning brand new Mercedes luxury mini bus which had enough glitz and and glam to satisfy the Kardashian’s! Once arriving at the hotel, the reception staff made us feel very welcomed with lots of information about the hotel and local area. To our surprise the hotel run a free service to and from Fira which is an added bonus as we knew we were a 30 minute walk away. Then we were taken to our room by a lovely man who carried out super heavy luggage down the steps to our room. Wow, the view was amazing. The room was spacious clean and fresh with a lovely bed bigger than two doubles pushed together. The bathroom had a rainfall shower with a handset built into an alcove which maybe tricky if your over 5’7! But don’t let that put you off, the views from every angle of the hotel more than make up for it. Breakfast was included which was simple but to a high standard nothing pre packed all fresh. The waiters were fantastic full of energy and knowledgeable. We booked our first evening meal at the hotel and the quality was amazing everything was done to a high standard. The only disappointment was we simply didn’t book longer. If your thinking of booking please do you won’t be disappointed. Fab hotel with great service. The breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from👌 We booked a transfer from the airport through the hotel and this worked perfectly although we had a 4 hour delay. If you arrive after 11pm the resturant and bar is closed at the hotel and there is nothing near by to grab food or drink from. The free transfer to Fira worked really well for us. Drinks at the hotel are expensive and they only issue you 1 small bottle of water on arrival complimentary. I personal thought being a 5 star that tea, coffee, milk and water should have been provided but there is a lidl down the road to get supply's. Visiting the sister hotel opposite Volcano view is a must as the view from there are fabulous. We had a couple of very nice but expensive cocktails in there, but we'll worth it for the view at sunset. Both hotels lacked a vibe at night, although we went out of season so I am sure this isn't always the case. This was perfecf for us as we was wanting a relaxing break. Only criticism is that although we booked a triple room we only had 2 seats to sit outside. I had to ask twice for a second chair as it was taken away.

Thank you, Renta and staff, for a memorable stay in Santorini. I had some doubts about the suites’ location overlooking the Caldera and the climbing that might be required, but the hotel is easily accessible with lovely gentlemen who take your luggage down to your room and pick it up when you are ready to leave. The accommodations are roomy, well appointed, and have an incredible view of the sea. We had our own patio where we could eat an ample breakfast delivered every morning. On these same mornings when we were very lucky, a parade of donkeys and one mule would clop by the path near the hotel, carrying materials to nearby sites. Of course our stay in November meant that many restaurants and shops in Imeroviglia were closed, but Fira is nearby. Renta will call Nico to give you a ride into town. Both of them are so gracious and accommodating that we very much enjoyed our stay. Following Renta’s advice, we took the catamaran tour of the Caldera, a must for seeing the Caldera from the sea. The plus side of Santorini in November is a complete lack of crowds. Our weather was sunny and in the seventies every day, which may have been a Greek anomaly but perfect for us. I highly recommend the Aqua Luxury suites and staff.

Lia was amazing! She is so friendly and helpful. If you ever want to hire a reliable employee with great customer service skills, look no further, Lia is your answer. My stay at Rocabella has been wonderful. When I arrived, Lia told me they had a special surprise for me…that my room was upgraded. I couldn’t believe it! The daily housekeeping was great, they cleaned and tidy the room like I had not been there the night before. The breakfast options were unbelievable and delicious. You order your breakfast over the phone and the kitchen will deliver to your room within minutes. I was there late February, so it is not as busy as the summertime. So, things might be different during busy season. I will definitely recommend Rocabella to any of my friends and families that are going to Santorini.

We stayed in the Royal Suite on our honeymoon. The location couldn't be better, and the rooms were of a very high standard. Considering the size of the room and the facilities, I think that the cost performance is quite good in Santorini. The Royal Suite has a special feeling because you can enter the private area immediately from the restaurant. The main pool was a heated pool, and there were chairs and a bar counter in the pool. Enjoy delicious cocktails at the pool bar while soaking in the pool. Especially the restaurant is very high quality. It was a taste of the level that goes even in Japan. It wasn't that expensive, and it was an average price setting in Santorini, so it's recommended even if you only use the restaurant.

The hotel service is simply amazing, the breakfast is very rich, the swimming pool in the house is constant temperature and beautiful, the room is particularly large, and there are steps from bed to bathroom. The small courtyard outside the door has a good view, and you can lie on a deck chair to watch the sunset.

The hotel has a lot of steps, the view is great, the front desk is not big, there are many steps to go to the room. The restaurant and pool are located on the bottom floor of the hotel, the breakfast is rich, the yogurt is delicious.

The host is the best! He was very hospitable, helped us a lot with our itinerary and transportation, also helped us store our luggage, and even lent the bathroom for us to shower even after check out. The room is very clean, the bathroom is really big, the bathtub is the most comfortable I have ever used. There is a swimming pool outside the room for sunbathing and swimming in comfort. The breakfast also surprised me very much. It will be delivered to the room at 8 o'clock. It is delicious and sincere. If I have the chance to come back again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was our 5th time to Santorini. The hotel was lovely, really clean and staff were very pleasant. We stayed in a beachfront room and the room was great, however I do think some improvements could be made. For example, theres no where to dry your swimsuits/towels - the balcony is so big that I think they could put a dryer out there. There is hardly any storage in the room and the full length mirror is on the wardrobe door next to the entrance door so we could not see ourselves properly. I also had to hang my dresses on the the curtain poles as the wardrobe was too short to put them in. Breakfast was ok, comparing it to other 5 star hotels we have stayed in it was not a 5 star breakfast - coffee whilst nice from the machine but should have been served to you. Water was always flavoured too which I did not like. However all foods we sampled at breakfast were lovely. We ate at the restaurant a few times for lunch and the food was great value and delicious. Cocktails were €15 and made very well. Coke was €4 a can. There is a QR code on the sunlounger tables showing the pool menu - personally I found this totally pointless as you still had to get up and order your drinks/food at the bar - sometimes they would bring drinks to your lounger sometimes we had to take our drinks ourselves. I think for 5 star hotel they should invest in the app/QR code and allow the guest to order from their sunlounger, as we have experienced in other resorts. The sunloungers are extremely low to the ground so if you have mobility issues then you will struggle to get up off them - the beach beds are even lower to the ground than the pool ones. The sea is unusable - it is so slippery that even with beach shoes you will struggle to get out. I think the hotel should seriously think about putting a jetty so guests can enjoy the lovely water.

This hotel is perfectly located in Fira/Thira, walking distance to the town with restaurants and shopping and beautiful churches. The highlight though is the location, west facing with an indescribable caldera view especially during sunset. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff friendly and welcoming.
