Great location, near a tram entrance, cafe, bars, shops, grocery and gym all within a few minutes walking. The gym the hotel uses is an anytime fitness just a couple blocks north of the hotel. Was a great stay for a few nights traveling through the east coast.

The hotel is easily accessible from the train station (as it is a slight downhill).
The staff, from being met with a wide smile by the concierge to the check-in staff, are friendly, professional and just a joy to interact with.
The rooms are well appointed, bathrooms absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast is good, but very few Asian options available.
It should be noted that Google maps is not truthful about the fact this part of Sydney is ”mostly flat”... so walking shoes are a MUST as the hotel is so very close to a number of wonderful places to see, explore and enjoy a meal.

How can I describe this hotel? It's not particularly good, but it's not bad either. The location is very good, it's only a 10-minute walk to the opera house. There are many office buildings around, and there are not many people at night, so it's quite quiet. The service is not very good. You can check in by yourself, but you still need to find a service staff if you need multiple room cards. There is only one bathroom in the exquisite suite. Someone on Ctrip made a random comment saying that there are two, but it's possible that there is only one bathroom in my room. The telephone line in the room is under maintenance and it doesn't work at all. During my stay, I wanted to ask for more beds and quilts. After going down to the lobby on the first floor to find the service staff and talking to them, they didn't deliver them to the room for a long time. I went downstairs again to ask, but they said there were no quilts. If there were no quilts, shouldn't they come up and tell me! It's strange that such a big hotel doesn't have an extra quilt. Other services are not bad. The doorman takes the initiative to pick up and put down the luggage and close the car door.

Staying in Fullerton Hotel is a wonderful experience. Hesitating between the Fullerton Hotel and the Four Season, finally here we are. Half an hour was spent on the way to the hotel from Sydney International Airport by train, which is in the vicinity of St James Station. Greeted by professional concierge and receptionist, the check in was less than 5 mins. 1 dollar was deducted from card as deposit. The room of 40 square meters was really big for two person. Mini bar was filled with different kind of drinks. Bed & sofa was soft and cozy. Room service was available via a black i-pad on the table, paid by either cash or card when checking out. Sydney Opera House & Hyde Park was nearby, together with other luxury stores. The room price was friendly during off-season,which will definitely double when the new year come. Haven’t tried the Four Season yet and can not give any comments, but Fullerton experience was truly nice and worthy.

Service was good and attentive. We arrived early in the morning and the reception offered to send me a whasapp once my room is ready and my bags were already in the room waiting. Location is close to circular Quey and a short walk to the opera house. Staff makes u feel very welcomed. I think they charged me AUD $20 for a bucket of ice which I asked for as their chiller in the minibar was not cold enough to chill my drinks, I only saw that on my credit card after I checked out, which was unexpected but well, I can’t be bothered to challenge as it was a nice stay anyways.

We really liked the location, it was right next to Darling Harbour. We got a warm and friendly welcome by the intern Brent at the front desk. He was nice and told us about all the things to do around, however, we had requested a room with a view, that they didn't provide, which we didn't fuss over.
We were pleasantly surprised to see an Indian dish in the already wonderful breakfast spread, and we loved that. The chef was kind enough to proactively ask us if we enjoyed the food and if we had a special request for the breakfast the next day, which they gladly honored. The hotel also had direct access to Darling Harbour, which was very convenient as we wanted to visit it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the hospitality and customer service at Hyatt, and would gladly visit again.

We loved the location as it was close to everything. We had an amazing view of the harbour. We also got lucky when they had a fireworks display at the harbour, we had the perfect room for it. Happy that we were assigned to a high floor. The construction was a bit of an eyesore but we still enjoyed our stay.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour and found the experience to be satisfactory. The hotel's location is excellent, offering easy access to Darling Harbour's attractions and providing scenic views of the city skyline. The room was clean and comfortable, though the decor appeared somewhat dated and could benefit from modernization. The staff were professional and courteous, contributing positively to the stay. However, the breakfast selection, while adequate, lacked variety over multiple days. Overall, the stay met basic expectations without any significant issues.

Outstanding
GGuest UserMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!
GGuest UserAmazing stay always at Holiday inn.I like the spacious rooms at Holiday Inn Macqauire Park. Check out was extended to noon. Thx for the favor. Breakfast is a plus and there are ample parking spaces at the premises.
GGuest UserPrefect view, especially on Saturday for the fireworks.
Took 30 mins to waited for check in tho. Somehow there were a lot of people on that day.
GGuest UserExcellent location, extremely clean facilities. Staff were super helful and breakfast included was wonderful. A microwave in the rooms would have been great, but i made do.
GGuest UserExcellent location right across QVB -- check-in was also smooth and the receptionist gave us an early check-in at 11am which was very much appreciated. Rooms seemed new possibly because they have been refurbished, very generous size and everything you need in a business hotel. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Sydney!
CCamintelAlthough my room was very nice and what I expected, unfortunately my overall experience was not very pleasant at this hotel. The staff at the front desk was not only rude, they actually suggested that I find another hotel during check-in because I pointed out a fee discrepancy (credit card surcharges) that was not disclosed during my booking reservation on Trip.com app.
Meriton properties doesn’t disclose before, during, or after the reservation (Trip.com) that a credit card usage fee will be added, and that’s dishonest in my opinion.
What’s disappointing is the attitude I get for pointing out Meriton’s mistake. First they pointed to the sign on the front desk, however I didn’t make this reservation while standing in their front lobby. Second, they said I should have booked on their website next time where it’s disclosed—perhaps then Trip.com should remove them from their approved hotel list. Finally, to learn of the policy while I check-in by pointing to a sign at the front desk, and then being told that if I don’t like the policy that “I can checkout and take my business elsewhere”, was the last straw and is the definition of horrible customer service and poor resolution management. They could have handled this issue differently and just said, “we will look into it and try to do a better job of informing our customers of our policy online. We apologize for this miscommunication.”
They did email me afterwards with an apology but they still didn’t acknowledge their dishonesty in not disclosing their credit card usage fee on Trip.com app.
DDaniellaJadeI enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room had three single beds, which was perfect for our group, and the beds were really comfy. The room itself was a bit run down, but nothing too bad. The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. The location was fantastic—close to everything we needed!
IIKBUM LEEIt was a great service by Manager. Actually, we booked wrong, was small. Of course we paid extra fee to change the room but we were very satisfied stayed at Meriton...we will book there again for next our family trip to Sydney. Highly appreciated to Meriton reception team & Manager. Strongly recommendable to our friends.
YYustianaI am staying for 5 nights here, the room is quite big, and has the separating door for bed, it has a pool and gym, breakfast cafe is next to the hotel
What i considered this hotel is because their washing machine and dryer inside the bedroom.
The minus are
- this is old hotel, and for that price i guess i can get more facilities than here
- the bed is very smallll ( smaller than queen size)
- the lobby also very small ( but u can get free coffee in the lobby )
- smelly
When u out from the lift, u can smell something that is like old and food idk whats that but it is so smelly.
For Cleaning they always change the towel and helping us to throwing the trash.
