It is near Union Station, which is convenient for train travel. It is also close to the Capitol, where you can directly see the fountain and take photos. The front desk is friendly. There is free coffee and water dispenser on the second floor. Breakfast is ordered, the price is affordable and the food is good. The room is a bit small and old, and the curtains should be larger to block out the light better.

This hotel was okay for the price, but let me quickly highlight this hotel. 1. Two nights with parking $718 2. Breakfast buffet in hotel$20 a person not a whole lot of choices. 3. Bar and Grill in restaurant average cost $15 per plate 4. The side of the Hotel with the single elevator, are the train tracks. Ask to stay away from the train tracks!! Train runs all night and blows its horn. 5. I asked the security guard at the hotel where a store was so that we can buy soft drinks and juice. He directed me to another hotel that has a quick to go market in their Lobby. Asking a local on my way to that hotel, the local directed us to a CVS about a 10-minute walk away. Upon returning to our hotel, we came in through the main lobby and saw a quick to go market off to the side of the front desk, and it was open đĄ 5. This hotel is dog friendly although I never saw a dog relief area. So I suppose you have to take your dog before a walk on the street. And that area had plenty of dog walkers. 6. The parking garage is super small and tight. If you have a two-door Jeep, you'll find it just comfortable. Anything bigger, and you'll be upset. 7. The sink in our bathroom was stopped up, but I did not tell the hotel staff about it so that's my fault. 8. At check-in, the representative at the front desk did not offer any other information than what I asked for. So if I didn't know to ask... 9. It is a central location to the museums and the mall, so please once you park don't move your vehicle. Get good old-fashioned exercise and walk. 10. There are two food trucks right across the street from the hotel although I never saw anyone man them. There is a McDonald's at the corner and a mom and Shop Pizzeria next to the McDonald's. The pizzeria is probably the least expensive and most delicious of the food that we've had the entire weekend. It was good for what I needed; the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I do believe next time I'll just take the Amtrak train for the day and save my $700!

Clean specious rooms with a coffee machine. Wanted to compliment David in security on night duty. Hotel surround has some unsavory characters but hotel has very good security to watch out for its guests Good option for DC for location. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Lift a bit temperamental

Nice clean modern decor. Most staff were nice. One front desk clerk was not over the 4 days we stayed. Calling a 1-800 number twice ended up being registered as âout of stateâ and we were billed $20 X 2 = $40 for these two toll free calls. We didn't use the phone otherwise but beware of exorbitant phone bills. There is no phone use pricing in the room. The indoor pool is a bit of a joke (tiny) and probably should not be a consideration when deciding which hotel to stay at. We didn't even bother bringing our kids to the pool after seeing it. There was no way to give an electronic tip to the cleaning staff or valet which would have been much more convenient. Parking included EV charging which was great.

From the time Brysen handled the details of our check in until the time we checked out, our party (which had nine rooms for a weekend) was handled with thoughtfulness and care. The facility is beautiful and well kept. The location is wonderful and convenient to everything. However, the team working at the hotel made our weekend. They were gracious, welcoming and extended us every courtesy to help us to navigate a very busy weekend. Taxis to get us to the event? No problem. Room service with complicated orders? Done. Brysen even ran out to pick up an order for us when we unfortunately arrived during a time when the kitchen was closed. Literally going the extra mile. We were treated as honored guests and had a lovely time. Thanks to Lindsey for the no fuss checkout with so many details handled efficiently and politely. We will return happily to Sofitel DC on our next trip to DC.

The hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, itâs far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there.
The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know itâs grave yard shiftâŚbut). The elevator needs some improvement as well since itâs very slow⌠(Iâm not sure itâs because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).

Truly phenomenal experience in Washington DC. We are a family of 6, our youngest is 14. This particular Ritz-Carlton is absolutely wonderful for a family staying multiple days for the 4th of July. We booked rooms with Club Access, which made it wonderfully convenient for everyone to grab fresh breakfast before we headed out for the day, as well as fun snacks at night after a long day of sightseeing. DC in July can be really hot and humid, and the Ritz made it so that our teens loved the hotel experience. I want to highlight the professionalism of the management and staff. We had a slightly odd interaction with one staff member in the Club, but the general manager of the hotel was impeccably professional and everything was smooth sailing. The hotel is well-managed and the staff are all so kind and thoughtful. We were sad to leave, it was such a wonderful experience to celebrate the 4th of July in DC at the Ritz-Carlton.

The breakfast was good, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the coffee tasted good, there was no free pure water in the room. Free water and apples are only available in the lobby. I like the lobby, all kinds of sofas, and the decoration is beautiful and warm.

We chose the Hilton because of its location at DuPont Circle and proximity to the metro. It was perfect. Very clean and excellent service. We had a corner room with large windows and a nice view. We werenât able to check in early and still have our chosen room but we left our luggage with the bell captain, parked and went off to explore on foot for awhile, taking the advice from a helpful front desk clerk for a nice place for lunch close by. Everything was close by. It worked out perfectly. The price of the hotel was excellent too which offset the cost of parking ($56/day) in the garage below where the car stayed for the whole trip. It was very easy to park and get back inside. The restaurants looked lovely but we didnât eat there. There were just too many local choices and we were out walking most of the day. The bell captain was helpful in getting us a cab one cold evening when my Uber app was be working well. He went outside in the cold until he was able to hail one for us (comparable in price to the Uber we wouldâve taken) Lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserNext to the subway station, transportation is convenient. But itâs too noisy next to the railway tracks at night, and the waiter service at dinner needs to be improved. Iâm impatient even if I ask for a hot water kettle. Itâs worth considering.
GGuest UserThis place was amazing for us. The biggest draw was the two bedroom suites (with two bathrooms), which are super hard to find and make it great for families with small kids. The pool and hot tub helped too, but what we didn't know was that they would try so hard to be a great family friendly destination. They had a Family Movie Night, such a hit with my kids with popcorn, candy, and soda. Also, they did a BBQ on the patio, which was also so nice. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly and always had a nice and pleasant word. They even gave the kids a toy from the treasure chest at our departure. They were so stoked. Also, its a great location for visiting DC, we did the Spy Museum, the American Indian Museum and the Botanical Garden, all within walking distance. We also drove to the zoo. Its an easy spot for cabs to pick you up. There aren't a TON of food options super close by but you can walk 15 minutes to the Wharf for great food and music options. It was just perfect for what we needed. Louise at the front desk helped us split our checks, and the gentleman who made all the activities happen was great as well. We appreciate you. And everyone was super helpful, from extending checkout to whatever we needed. Also the buffet had everything you could ask for, even a waffle machine with all the fixings, which was obviously also a big hit with the kids! We will definitely be back.
GGuest UserThe decoration looks like an old-fashioned hotel, so the facilities are a little bit worse. But the room is big enough, the health is good, there is a coffee machine, and the customer service staff are also very polite.
It takes about ten minutes to get to the station.
GGuest UserI traveled to DC with my preteen and teenage sons for a basketball game. The property didnât receive my reservation (booked through 3rd party) but the front desk staff took the time to make it right and get us set up. They had excellent customer service throughout our stay.
This hotel was VERY clean. I was actually surprised because I use to stay here frequently about 10 years ago and expected some things to run down a bit. It turns out that the hotel is very modernized and looks just as good now as it did a decade ago.
The location is perfect as itâs right in the middle of the NoMa neighborhood and it is right next to the NoMa/Gaulludet (Red Line) Metro station. There are a few small shops across the street and a 7 Eleven next door if you are looking for a quick bite.
The room itself was comfortable. My youngest son and I slept soundly on the queen sized bed and my oldest slept on the couch. He was pretty comfortable without even folding the couch down.
Overall, I will definitely book here again as I frequently visit DC. Fo how inexpensive this hotel is, the quality was phenomenal. I canât wait to go back.
GGuest UserThe first room had a very noisy fan. I was moved to another room which was much quieter. I noticed that there were several small issues with the room and relayed them to the front desk, where a manager (Keith) overheard me and said he would look into it. Nothing happened to correct it during the entire stay, not a note to say how or if it would be corrected. The issue was a ring of paint or epoxy in the bathtub, something that should have been cleaned up at the time of painting.
The second issue was the very poor arrangement of lighting in the room. Lamps were confined to small areas, there was no overhead light and the bathroom was either overlit or underlit, while the closet area was dark unless it was daylight. Afterwards I noticed that there large holes in the sheer curtains in the room. Not tragic, but not in keeping with the tenor and tone of a Marriott Bonvoy.
In the lobby there was only an ADA service elevator to go from the street to the lobby level. It was self operated, no instructions, no indication lights on either level and a bit noisy.
GGuest Userfirst off, i booked a king room but was given 2 queen beds instead, they said you donât always get that when you book through a 3rd party because they do not know what rooms are actually available, second, i requested that my room be cleaned everyday that i stayed, but was not, i had to go downstairs to ask for new towels 2 nights in a row, on the 3rd night i finally asked the front desk and they showed me a small sign that said they do not clean until your 4th day of stay, they can do a quick refresh if you ask before 9pm the night before, lastly, i was charged $41.73 on top of what i paid to Trip.com, i called to ask about it a few days after my trip when i saw it on my credit card, they said it was an amenities charge for each of the days i stayed, whaat? the only amenity i used was the elevator, never have i ever been charged for anything other than the price of the hotel, needless to say i will not be staying here again and will not recommend it to anyone
GGuest UserGreat place to stay in DC, close to shops and restaurants. Great Customer Service. Rooms and amenities are very clean. Breakfast selection is great. Very quiet rooms. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thank you
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good, but in fact it is inconvenient to eat around. The air conditioner may be an old-fashioned American all-in-one machine, and the sound is extremely loud. The key is that it still makes a loud noise when it is turned off without airflow! How strange! Will the old beauty tolerate such rooms and hotels? ! It seems that those standards of Laomei are also perfect!
GGuest Userwe arrived around 10am and were fortunate enough to be allowed early check-in. desk guy was nice, and was able to speak english. we needed the rest after a grueling red-eye. i was unaware of how far out the place was from most of what we were there to see. this resulted in spending enough money on Lyft to afford a âswankierâ place further into the city. my bad. after a brief rest, we met some family and walked around alot. the new target down the block closes at 9, so when we got back to the room around 930pm, we were unable to get supplies for the room, & had to stop at a gas station to get a few things. this is NOT a neighborhood to go walking at night. we were approached a few times, but never threatened, still didnt feel comfortable on the street. the room itself was reasonably clean, & there were no bugs that i could see. beds were firm, and there were mostly feather pillows. 3 per bed. there were multiple âdingsâ in the place...beginning with the corners, the walls, and at least 2 pretty serious marks on the tub that had broken the enamel off. a fair bit of the caulking was pulled loose from both the tub and the wall. i was dissapointed to see the back of the dressing vanity was raw plywood. didnt expect that. there was a decent armoire for hanging clothes, with storage cubbies on the side. to the left of that was a reasobly large dresser with enough drawer space to handle what we had brought. immediately above the dresser was a huge flatscreen tv that, while impressive, was far to big for the space. after a bit, we figured out the remote. left of the dresser/tv was a desk & chair. under the right side of which was a 3-legged refrigerator with platic top that kept coming off. above that there was a microwave that proved useful, on top of which was a single cup coffee maker that worked nicely for tea. the furniture overall, seemed repurposed from another motel. most of it didnt match, and looked pretty used. the floor was reasonably clean
