Best Hotels in Wekerom

I would rate De Reehorst as somewhere between a three and four star hotel. The ground floor looks quite interesting although I did not make use of the bar or restaurant. The room I stayed in for one night was pretty basic. The best thing about it was the television. The pillows were uncomfortable and the bathroom has seen better days.

The hotel is perfectly located next to the Central Station and at the edge of the shopping centre. In the lobby you can work and take a cup of free tea or coffee. The staff is young and informal. The rooms are not large, but a good bed and bathroom. Unfortunately, we find the death sin for each hotel room: a bottle of gliding from previous guests under the bed. Although the room was not dirty, this is of course a point of attention.

A comfortable room with a well-designed bathroom. Everything very clean and pleasant. Very central. A simple breakfast but with enough. Various bread, fruit, yoghurt, cooked eggs, cheese... And a good coffee.

Personeel is vriendelijk en pakt snel door. Eten was heerlijk. Helaas ook wat min puntjes. De zaal is behoorlijk warm en kunnen geen ramen en deuren open vanwege geluidsoverlast. Er hangt wel een airco maar koelt helaas niet goed genoeg. Helaas kan het qua communicatie ook wat beter. Duidelijk aangegeven dat we vegetarisch vlees wilde voor 3 mensen bij onze bruiloft. Er zou bij onze bbq een apparte schaal met vegatarisch vlees komen. Dit Helaas niet gebeurd. Daarna na het aangegeven in mailing contact werd hier over gelogen, dat er gevraagd is aan de bewuste gasten of ze iets anders konden betekenen en dar er werd aangegeven dat het eten verrukkelijk was (door de personen die dus vega waren) na terug communiceren per mail dat dit dus niet waar is NOOIT meer wat gehoord!!!! Ooowja en het bed waar we onze huwelijksnacht moesten door brengen werd bij elkaar gehouden door een kratje onder het bed. Bed zakte al aardig door en vooral mijn man heeft verschikkelijk geslapen! Vooral jammer dat ze overal achteraf een excuus voor hadden. En o.a dus dingen die niet waar zijn! En daarna dus niet meer op je reageren als je hun nog mailt!

Overall still very good, the location is very good, there are 352 to go to Wageningen and Arnhem, and the Rhine is beautiful. The service is very warm, the breakfast is very expensive...16-17 Euro. The only drawback is that there is no disposable equipment in foreign countries, and the slippers and toothbrushes must be taken by themselves.

Great staff and great hotel. Ideally located for our European motorcycle tour and have us a much needed break. Great access to Arnhem and also allowed us a moment to pay our respects to the commonwealth troops that have their lives during operation market garden. Thank you Arnhem VDV

I had a single room. Probably the room with the least favourable. :-( It was a problem to enter the room because the door must first be turned over the box before there is room to enter. The hotel has a fixed floor cover. I don't think this is hygienic anyway. There were several doubtful points in the tape. I didn't like to walk on bare feet through the room. The night box stood behind the bed, and the wall, against which the bed stood, was with a screw, and you could lose something. The night the light was difficult, because the lamp was behind the bed. Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike.
