I rarely write such detailed reviews, but this trip to Harbin, especially the arrangements in Xuegu, was truly a highlight. This guesthouse we booked was perfect for enjoying the snow. Just 30 meters from the entrance, there's a huge snowy field, and behind it, a mountain for hiking to see rime ice. The guesthouse is newly renovated but has no unpleasant smell. The room was spacious, very clean, and soundproofing was excellent; even with fireworks going off outside, I couldn't hear a thing, so I slept wonderfully for both nights. For such an affordable price, breakfast was included. The sweet potato porridge was delicious and fragrant, and there were also eggs, steamed buns, pickles, melon seeds, sugar tangerines, and frozen pears – all you can eat. Plus, there were free fireworks displays in the evening! The landlady was incredibly warm and helpful, answering all our questions and even providing us with lots of travel tips. Both the adults and kids had a fantastic time during our two days in Xuegu. I hope to come back again and have already recommended it to my friends!

The guesthouse owner is very attentive and friendly. They gave you the feelings like you are staying at your own hometown. They are Muslim friendly as they prepared breakfast using seperate utensils and treat you like their own family. There is also Makanan Melayu menu that they prepared for Muslim if you want to eat for dinmer or lunch. The price is affordable. At the guesthouse, there is a poster of snow activities that you can do written in English translation. Just point to what do you want to do and the owner will directly arrange somebody to pick you up and drop off to the guesthouse again once activity is done. I did the ski playground activity and Wu Song Ling , both of the experience is very great. If you travel solo, then this guesthouse is perfect for you as they really caring and attentive to make sure you are safe and comfortable. I also got to eat frozen fruit given by the owner. No need to worry if you cannot speak chinese as the owner is equipped with translation devices. The owner can arrange the bus to come from Harbin City to Snow Valley, and also when you want to go back. The bus drop directly infront of the guesthouse with the owner already waiting to help with your luggage.

I booked a hotel in a hurry on the way from Mohe to Heihe. It is next to the bustling pedestrian street and the morning market, and is upstairs from the Amur Western Restaurant. Although the Western restaurant is authentic, the room is not that good! The tiles on the walking stairs are falling off, the room has no air conditioning and only a fan. It is over 30 degrees Celsius during the day and very stuffy at night. The family couldn't sleep and got up at three o'clock to visit the riverside and morning market. It was very different from the Home Inn where I stayed the second night, but there was no difference in price. I didn’t take any photos because I was in a bad mood, so I took two photos of the river view during the day.

This stay was absolutely perfect! The location is fantastic, just 10 meters from the International Night Market, just down the stairs. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm receptionist who provided helpful information about nearby attractions and restaurants. The room was impeccable, with a stylish and elegant decor, excellent lighting, soft bedding, and a mattress with just the right firmness. The smart toilet was meticulously cleaned and restocked daily, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The surrounding shopping district and food court are all within easy reach.

Good environment, good location, very convenient to go out

This hotel is excellent, and the room was beautiful, exactly as pictured. The owner is very kind and took great care of us, even booking activities and arranging for someone to follow us and take photos. They also offered a free water splashing activity, which was a lot of fun! The food at the property was delicious too.

This homestay is almost at the end of the snow valley street. The room was spacious, comfy and very clean 🤩 They have heated floors and bed which is really superb. And the food here was also affordable and delicious 😋. The bathroom was also no issue cause the shower was beside the toilet and we had bidet sprayer which can connect with the sink outside the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Just that it would have been great if they had prepared a proper bath towel in the room, we needed to ask for a towel in the reception and it was a tiny one. Other than that I just loved the hospitality there and the way they manage the hotel. I would highly recommend it!!!!

The room is very clean, dry and wet separation, if the sound insulation is strengthened, it would be better (we are close to the elevator, the guests like to speak loudly, it is really troublesome). The butler Xiao Wang's service is very thoughtful, good and caring, praise. The driver's eldest brother is also very good, help with luggage, send us to the town to play, work seriously, smile. There is a ski resort in the hotel, no need to crowd people, no need to be afraid of being hit by newbies. The children went there to play snowball fights the next day, and they were happy. The hotel's restaurant tastes guaranteed and two meals are comfortable and healthy.

This is honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed in China, and not just because of the location, but because of the people. From the moment I arrived at Snow Valley, I felt like I was not a guest, but a member of their family. During my stay, I unfortunately became sick after long travel and extreme cold, and the hotel owners and staff took genuine care of me. They checked on me, helped me, and made sure I was comfortable and safe. That level of care is something you don’t forget. The hotel itself is very clean, well-organized, and warm, which is extremely important in such cold weather. The rooms are comfortable, the heating is excellent, and cleanliness is clearly a priority. Everything felt calm, cozy, and welcoming. What made this place truly special was the family atmosphere. I enjoyed sitting with them, laughing, talking, and sharing stories. Even with language differences, their kindness spoke louder than words. They made me feel at home, far away from my own country. After traveling across China for nearly two months and staying in many places, I can confidently say this was one of my most meaningful and beautiful experiences. I will never forget this stay, and I truly hope to come back again in the future. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Snow Valley — not just for accommodation, but for a real human experience.
