Discovering this Zen-inspired hotel nestled in the vibrant heart of Wenshu Monastery area was truly the most delightful surprise of my Chengdu trip! Stepping into the courtyard, I was immediately soothed by the grey tiles, white walls, dry landscape garden, and rustic wooden decor. The 'Buddhist Affinity' screen in the lobby and the Four-Faced Buddha statues exuded a tranquil Zen charm, and even the staff's 'Namaste' greetings were incredibly gentle. The room featured a Chinese Zen design with solid wood furniture and a tea set by the window. The bedding was so soft that I slept soundly all night, and from the balcony, I could catch glimpses of the traditional Western Sichuan folk houses in the alleyways. The location is absolutely perfect; it's a 5-minute walk to Wenshu Monastery subway station, surrounded by hot pot restaurants and snack stalls, and just a 10-minute taxi ride to Chunxi Road. Although the breakfast was simple, it was exquisite, offering vegetarian dishes alongside Western pastries, and even the freshly ground coffee was rich and fragrant. The staff also proactively recommended authentic local eateries and hidden gems. To find such a tranquil and conveniently located retreat in the midst of the bustling city, offering both serene Zen ambiance and easy access to urban life, is incredible value for money. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu!

This is the third time I have stayed here. I like the environment here very much. The room is simple and clean. The most important thing is that there is a slide in the room. The children like it very much. The view from the room is very good. The most important thing is that the food is delicious and the boss is nice. It's also very nice and the stay is very comfortable.

This place is truly unique in its own way. From the outside, it feels like you’re stepping into a traditional village home but once inside, it’s pure comfort and quiet luxury. The rooms look exactly like the photos, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Every detail in the room is so thoughtfully designed that you instantly feel at home. The bed is spacious and bed is big enough to accommodate us 2A3K.
It does get a little hot at night, but we found a simple fix leaving the bathroom door slightly open and turning on the humidifier (I think 😄), since the bathroom is cooler. That helped balance the temperature nicely.
We requested halal breakfast, and they prepared mantou, porridge, and fruits for us. Simple, warm, and absolutely delicious, it felt very comforting, especially in the cold weather.
Location-wise, it’s about 10 minutes from Pengfeng Village. The owner was incredibly kind and even checked whether we had transportation, as they could arrange transport to the scenic area if needed. We had our own car, so moving around was easy for us.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay here. It felt peaceful, welcoming, and thoughtfully cared for. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay 🤍

Staying at the Sunderia Hostel was an amazing experience! It's right next to Wenshu Monastery, so you can walk to the ancient temple, and it's also close to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley. There are tons of local eateries nearby, and the staff were really enthusiastic about showing us where to find good food. Our room was cleaned daily, the bedding was soft, and the private bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Downstairs, the common area offers free coffee during the day and turns into a cozy bar with live music at night. Travelers from all over the world gather there to chat and share their travel stories. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, truly a top choice for accommodation in Chengdu!

We are European tourists and already travelling for more than 50 days in the south part of China. Well, of all the good hotels or homestays we have been, this was the first time that we had a front desk person (Sherry) that spoke good English!!!
Arrived at the busstation of Danba, we felt a bit lost and so we decided to phone the homestay knowing already that it would be useless as nobody would speak English... and big surprise!!! The woman answered in good English!!! WOW. She immediately organized a taxi to pick us up. When we arrived the staff took our luggage out of the taxi and took it up the stairs to our room.
The homestay was very cosy with an stunning view (not far from viewpoint n.1 but with a much better completely amazing view). The rooms had outside on the balcony a table and a cosy sofa seating corner, protected from sun and rain where you could have soothe calm time while enjoying the beautiful sight; you see the whole mountainside and even the river!
As Sherry travels a lot herself, she really knows what are the needs for her customers. She was so helpful with everything for us and she gave us much useful information for our next long itinerary. In the open lobby outside (a nice terras with a roof), there are several maps and we even changed our future route. Sitting on the sofas at the terras, the reception girls offered us tea and cookies and we even had a nice chat with English speaking people from Macao. 😊
The rooms, bed and bathroom are confortable and top clean with AC. As of the normal soap, shampoo and hairconditioner there was even bodylotion and disinfectant spray. There are 3 washing machines and a big place to dry your laundry. Just nearby there is a good restaurant and a little shop. In the night there is no noise.
As Sherry was so kind, interesting and helpful, we even invited her to France. Hopefully we can see one day again! My husband and me were so happy to have chosen this homestay!

We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Shangqouai Valley, Siguniang, making it easy to get around.
The room was clean and comfortable, which is very important, especially when traveling with a baby.
The staff were extremely kind and attentive. They reminded us not to wet our hair while showering to reduce the risk of AMS. When our baby cried nonstop at night, the staff showed great concern — they offered to take our baby to the hospital and provided oxygen as they were worried about AMS.
We truly felt well taken care of. Highly recommended, especially for families traveling with young children.

The inn, which captured both aesthetics and sentiment throughout my drive, was filled with warmth and comfort. It gave me a profound sense of home, allowing me to calm my tired heart. The inn is perfectly situated, close to the ancient street and right by the river. Falling asleep to the sound of the gurgling stream at night was incredibly comfortable. The rooms were clean, hygienic, and comfortable, with comprehensive amenities. The relaxing environment was fantastic, allowing me to sip tea, daydream, chat, and soak in the stunning scenery. In short, the reason I came to Shangli Ancient Town was half for the ink-and-wash painting-like scenery, and half for the innkeeper's hospitality. A must-rate recommendation! I highly recommend staying here.
The entire courtyard is quiet and tastefully decorated. The room is a family-friendly one, located in the inner courtyard. The ambiance is excellent. The sofa area is separated from the bedroom. While not very spacious, it's comfortable and clean, with good air conditioning.
The service was very friendly, including welcome fruit. They answered all questions, also known as ”Bi Lai.” The room also has its own cafe, and the Bingmei 15 is quite good.
The downsides are that the water pressure from the electric water heater isn't very strong, and the mattress on the 1.5-meter king-size bed is a bit firm, but the 1.2-meter bed is fine.

When I stayed at the Mount Emei Viewing Hot Spring Hot Spring House, the overall experience was unforgettable.
First of all, the environment of the soup house is really beautiful.
Secondly, the facilities at the soup house were also great, the hot spring pool in the room was clean and comfortable, the water quality was very good when bathing, and there was a hot spring bath combination that allowed me to thoroughly relax my body and mind.
Furthermore, in terms of service, the staff was very friendly and helpful, carrying our luggage to the room for us, as well as fruit and pastries. Their enthusiasm made me feel at home and there was help available at any time to make my stay even better.
Finally, the cleanliness level, I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room, all the facilities were well maintained, which made me feel reassured and comfortable.
Overall, this post-stay experience was very pleasant, I highly recommend Mount Emei Viewing Hot Spring Hot Spring House, whether you are relaxing or enjoying the beautiful scenery, it is well worth a visit!

From the moment we arrived, we were already impressed with this hotel. There were two staff members waiting to welcome us at the entrance, helping with our luggage and explaining everything clearly. Their English was excellent, and the service was honestly one of the best parts of our stay.
The hotel itself is incredibly charming and cozy. The decoration feels warm and friendly, with a lovely balcony area in front filled with beautiful flowers and plants. Our room was very clean, the bed was super soft and comfortable, and we could see the mountains right from the window. The floor heating was also a big plus and made the room extra cozy at night.
One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food. The yak hotpot was AMAZING. The clear soup was filled with wild mushrooms, Chinese red dates, goji berries, and spices that blended together perfectly. The dipping sauce was the real star — we asked for refills so many times because it was just that good! The matsutake mushroom fried rice was also super fragrant and generously portioned.
Please don’t miss the hotel’s homemade yak milk barley yogurt. It was seriously delicious — sweet and slightly sour, topped with popping barley grains that gave such a fun texture. Their milk teas were also fantastic, especially the rose milk tea which smelled like a whole bouquet of roses, and the barley milk tea was equally good.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. They helped arrange local taxis for us to Suangqiaogou entrance and the bus station, and they always tried their best to help with everything we asked for. Everyone was so warm and caring.
Overall, if I ever come back to Siguniangshan, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend everyone to spend at least one night here — this place made our trip even more special.

QQiyueyushiqiThe owner is so kind. I arrived on my motorcycle close to 10 PM, and they upgraded me from a double bed to a king-size room. It was just me in a huge king room, and as soon as I walked in, I loved how big and cozy it felt. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was included. On the first day, they offered to make me noodles and even prepared butter tea – I was so full! Both breakfasts were different and absolutely perfect. The little cats in the courtyard were also adorable. I've stayed in many hotels while motorcycle touring, and this is only the second truly great one I've encountered. Highly recommended!
Facilities: All the facilities are very new.
Hygiene: The hygiene was spotless, a hundred times better than I expected.
Environment: The environment is peaceful, with a small courtyard where you can park.
Service: The service was excellent. Both the gentleman who waited for me to check in late at night and the lovely lady the next day were incredibly nice.

GGuest UserThe inn is in the ancient city, an authentic old neighborhood, there are many restaurants around, there is a place to park. It was from Huanglong when he entered the ancient city that Gaode Navigation guided a trail that could only pass a car, and it was a bit scary. The ancient city is not big and it is very convenient to go shopping.
