"It's about 10mins away from train station walking, Clean, nice views if in selected rooms. No one explained about the gym or restaurant so we ask other customers. They said they needed i.d but didn't say this when I had booked it. But I would say this is like a upgraded travel lodge. We will be back to try the food out as didn't know about this before like mentioned. Good location for places like dance east or football"

Our deluxe room overlooked the beautifully kept gardens, and the interiors — especially the Colefax & Fowler fabrics — felt timeless and elegant. The bathroom was enormous, almost larger than the bedroom, and the whole property is filled with classic equestrian art and heritage charm. We enjoyed champagne in the private members’ bar, a rare privilege for overnight guests, and breakfast was exceptional — from eggs Benedict to eggs Royal, kippers, pancakes and more, all served in a grand dining room. Easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. The atmosphere is old‑world English tradition at surprisingly accessible prices, with free parking and a perfect High Street location. Ideal for visiting Cambridge or Suffolk — and we loved being able to stroll to Thai Kitchen for dinner. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, history, and understated luxury - all for the price of a room in the Premier inn!"

"Small double room, very soft mattress, bathroom was tiny, no surface for your washbag etc, very tatty bathroom suite, sink cracked from top to bottom, shower leaked so badly that the flooring was warped and leaked onto bedroom carpet leaving wet patch after each use."

"Fantastic cheap hotel great view comfy bed clean plenty of room .. had to bring a kettle though as like a tea first thing in morning!! Right in town center but very quiet part .. near all shops cafes etc"

"We have been doing our motorcycle training here in Ipswich so have stayed at the Novotel for two weekends now. The staff have been so friendly and accommodating - we’ve really enjoyed the stay. Having a bath in the room has also been a treat. The rooms are well maintained, clean and very comfortable. We’ve enjoyed the pool table and the bar. We’re looking forward to coming back again. The hotel is also very conveniently located."

"This is the second time we have stayed here and the location is beautiful. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was very slow and the young staff members seem to be more interested in chatting around the bar area. My wife was keen to use the spa facilities included in the price but the sauna was closed, the steam room and jacuzzi were full, as was the pool. Not as good as the first time we stayed 16 months ago, which was disappointing, but the surroundings were still lovely."

"The hotel service is very friendly, you can ask them for slippers, I feel very kind and comfortable!  Open the door and put a cute horse doll on the bed in the room. It suddenly attracted our attention. My daughter drew one. When I left the store, I bought one again. It was 25 pounds. I liked it very much!"
