The room we booked was converted from a mews, which was a completely new experience for us and quite surprising in an interesting way. Almost everything else was fantastic. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent — you really have to try the Indian spice omelette. They also serve coffee and tea to your table instead of self-service, which felt very decent and welcoming. The breakfast staff in particular were warm and attentive. However, because the room was converted from a mews, the facilities have some limitations. The ventilation is not good, and we experienced allergy symptoms after having the air conditioner on all night during winter. There was no proper heater in the room, so we had to rely on the air conditioner for warmth, and it took about 15–20 minutes to start working. Also, it did not feel very clean when in use. Another downside is that there is no real window — only the mews door — which makes the room feel a bit closed-in and affects air circulation. Overall, this hotel offers wonderful staff and an amazing breakfast, but the room facilities and ventilation, especially in the converted mews rooms, could be improved. If you are sensitive to air quality or prefer natural light and windows, I would recommend choosing other places or other rooms instead of the mews-style rooms.

Overall a nice stay but one thing I did miss would be heating. There was a small electric heater but it was not powerful enough to heat up both the room and the bathroom

I was originally heading to Bristol, but feeling a bit tired mid-journey, I decided to stop and rest at this hotel in town. Compared to a typical Holiday Inn Express, the facilities here are a bit more basic, and the breakfast selection is more limited. On-site parking is quite restricted; I had to park my car in a public lot a block away. (It’s actually not far at all—only about a 100-meter walk.)

ALCON, I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge. Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,

The hotel location is good. Quite quick and convenient for checking in the hotel. However, the room was outdated with old carpet. The air condition was very old and so loud.

A very convenient hotel in town, with a good location, close to everything, but there is no elevator, and it is a bit difficult to drag the suitcase upstairs.

Our stay may have been coloured by the rainy weather because in sunnier times the views from the Leigh Park Hotel would have been even better. The train station to Bath from Bradford upon Avon is very walkable but it is downhill from the hotel (some very steep bits) nearly all the way and after a busy day in Bath we elected to get a taxi back the walk back up that hill would have put a downer on the day (and I normally do 4 mile runs twice a week, so I am pretty fit!) The room we had was really big, as was the bathroom. The shower was really powerful and got warm almost immediately. The staff were really friendly and the the ambience of the hotel was classy. The breakfast area looking out over the grounds was really nice and I'd definitely like to sit there and enjoy a drink on a summer's evening. I managed to charge my electric car with the type 2 charging station. Unfortunately, it only delivered 7 kW so I only managed a small top up. The hotel breakfast was self service but the containers that were holding the food failed to keep it particularly warm. That is something that could be improved. Also the breakfast choice could have been a little wider (e.g. no tomatoes were offered as part of the English Breakfast). Having said that the breakfast tasted good. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider visiting again.

We had a lovely stay there. The room was big and warm, with generous one double and one single comfortable beds, small but sufficient bathroom offering necessary toiletries, TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. The staff is very nice and helpful. Price was very reasonable and it's great location for visiting Atwell Wilson Motor Museum nearby. Breakfasts are served only on weekends, but if you crave full English there is huge Tesco with great cafe just a few minutes drive away. All rooms are on ground floor, but they may not be suitable for wheelchair users due to the narrow doorways, however useful for people with reduced mobility but not wheelchair bound.

GGuest UserA Comfortable Stay with a Few Surprises As one of Marriott’s brands, I expected a little more, but overall, the hotel delivers the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it. Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice.

GGuest UserOur stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay.

KKhooI wouldn’t think anything would go wrong as with one-night stays at a lot of the hotels I’ve stayed at. I love the unique the hotel exudes, very much accentuated with the internal steps, turns and multiple corridors. It can be rather challenging if you have heavy luggage, especially when it’s more than a piece. Thumbs up for Jamie (the receptionist on shift) as he has been of great help. I’d give the full English breakfast a miss if I’d stay for more than a day as it’s virtually drenched in oil. There’s a pressure pump in the bathroom which sounds every 20 minutes and that made it difficult to sleep as I’m a light sleeper. The room which I have been assigned heats up when the sun hits the west facade of the hotel and it’s very uncomfortable if one doesn’t leave the room. All in all a pleasant stay and I hope my feedback will provide some impetus for improvement.

Mmartin tyleeI remember watching the hotel being built and said I would never stay there! How wrong I was! It's so quiet and very convenient for everything. Good choice of food for breakfast, even gluten free! The staff were always polite and helpful, replenishing food as it was used. Choice of coffee/tea. Can fully recommend this hotel and would/will definitely stay there again! Thank you Holiday Inn express!

GGuest UserIt was a newly refurbished, lovely hotel, and we were very satisfied with our room and the service. We would love to return, but the duvet cover was torn, the mattress wasn’t very comfortable, and the location was a bit far from the station. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

SShawn_S.I had a pleasant stay at The George Hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient, especially for visiting Stonehenge. The room was clean and comfortable, and the heating with adjustable temperature was a big plus during winter. Breakfast was served on time and was decent. Overall, a good value stay with a great location.
